  1. Congratulations on your new coach. Glad you checked about the trailing arms problem. Now you should add your coach to your signature, here is how. Click on the three-horizontal bars in the top right side of the page. Click on account. Click on account settings. Then click on signature. You will get a box to enter information that will be public and show up in your signature. Don’t put information like phone number or home address. The state and town would be ok. When you are done click on save. You can look at what others have in their signature. Having some info about your coach will help when you ask questions in the future as you won’t have to re add it each time. Have you looked at any local chapters? Where are you located? Bill

  3. Can you do anouther update/down load? Bill
  4. I would look at the Michelin advantage program. you can get discounts on Michelin and BF Goodrich tires. I bought tires for my toad this year and saved about $190.00. Look at the instructions on the main web site. https://www.fmca.com/benefits/michelin-advantage.html Bill
  5. Glad to know you found the problem. Goes to show, sometimes it isn't any of the common items, battery voltage, solenoid, or connections, sometimes it realey is a bad starter. Bill
  6. They do high quality work too. Go look at some of their conversions. Bill
  7. I would have to wait a long time because the low air buzzer won't shut up till air preshure comes up. Bill
  8. Why? After you go through the proper sanitizing procedure it will probably be better than what you have at home. I have a filter on the inlet hose and a filter on the water dispenser faucet. Yes I will check out the water where I am camping before hooking up. Several times I have gotten a wad of rusty water when I first turn on the faucet. Bill
  9. Are you waiting for the "wait to start" light to go out? Have you tried holding down the "battery connect switch"? Bill
  10. Welcome to the world of Bounder. Please put your coach in your signature. Bill
  11. I haven't had a problem, but I do a walk around if I have been out of sight of the rig. Most of the time I do it anyway. I know of some who use locks and I don't know if they have problems. Bill
  12. I will not use anything K&N makes until they show it will pass the filtration test and meet the standards for Cummins and Cat. "Some technicians in the know have no worries about using the current generation of washable filters, although I've yet to find an independent test of them." will they pay for rebuilding a dusted engine? I am betting if K&N could pass the test they would be using it in their ads. They try to push the bit about it flows more air. SO WHAT. The current specked filters flow more air than your engine can use now. Just for grins here is the test from "decades ago" 2009 doesn't seem like decades to me. http://www.nicoclub.com/archives/kn-vs-oem-filter.html The ISO 5011 Standard (formerly SAE J726) defines a precise filter test using precision measurements under controlled conditions. Temperature & humidity of the test dust and air used in the test are strictly monitored and controlled. I know the sales pitch sounds good. OK I am done with my rant for tonight. Bill
  13. Welcome to the forum. You have a good plan Here is a list of tips and apps. I use google Maps to see how far it is between places I plan to stop and Google Earth to see what some stretches of road look like. http://www.rvparky.com/ Easey tool to find parks/places to stay. http://www.rvparkreviews.com/ once you found a place see what others think about it. https://www.nps.gov/index.htm Information on the national parks. https://www.nps.gov/planyourvisit/passes.htm Also look at getting a pass and if you are 62 or older definitely get a Senior Pass it is a $10 Lifetime pass that covers everyone in your car. You may have to wait till you get to your first park, they have a great way to record the parks you have ben to. It is called a Passport, you buy it in the visitor’s center, it kind of looks like a Passport but you add stickers and stamp the date and time you were at the park. http://www.passport-america.com/ One other thing you need is get a Passport America discount card. This is a tool to help campgrounds fill empty spots during the week or slow times. Each campground sets the time and discount but most times it is 50% and some places 3-4 days. We saved about $450.00 last year. I think I got my $44.00 back. I like Yelp when on the road to see what places there are and to get reviews, see menus. Who wants to drive 2000 miles to eat the same fast food stuff you have at home. Oh Ranger is a park locater for those hidden gems like Antelope Island in the great salt lake. Rest Stops, is a good app. You might look at the apps for all the big truck stops Pilot Flying J, Loves, or get the ALLSTAYS Big Truck Stops. For navigation, I highly recommend CoPilot. We have used it for several years and it does a great job. The big benefit is you can down load maps when you have Wi-Fi and it doesn’t use data. I have it on the phones and on my tablet. The tablet gives a bigger picture to see and follow. Gas Buddy You can download it from your app store. Find cheap gas and you can record your gas/fuel expenses. You can look ahead and see what the prices are where you are headed . It helps plan fuel stops. Thats enough for now. Let me know if you have any questions. Bill
  14. Well if you can't find it any place else (I don't want to see you behind my 38N) you could try some of the salvage yards like. Colaw RV Parts & Salvage 10389 Cimarron Rd. Carthage, MO 64836 (417)548-2125 Email: www.colawrvsalvage.com Actively dismantling hundreds of damaged RVs for the purpose of reselling used RV parts. Let us know what you find. Bill
  15. Personally I don't like Bras as the cloth ones can get dirt under them and the wind moving them can cause "fretting" damaging the finish. I also don't like the plastic stick on ones because once they start to degrade they are hard to remove and expensive if you need to hire it done. I might be talked into the spray on bedliner type if my front cap was in bad shape. However my coach has nearly 80.000 miles and very few blemishes on the front. Bill
  16. Good Job. Who said you can't teach pilots to do basic maintenance. Bill
  17. Glad you found the leak. Now pay yourself a nice bonus that you could have payed someone else to find the leak. Good Job. Bill
  18. Well if it had a true OFF position I would call it a 3 way. Like Brett said. Position 1= tank fill, Position 2= connected to house water line on the house side of water pump. The valve you show is also a water regulator, It apparently does control water preshure to some degree. There is also a check valve so the water can't drain out when the hose is disconnected. I think this where the problem may be. Without looking at his system the only other possibility I see is the handle is not turning the valve and it is partially turned blocking both inlet and tank fill. Bill
  19. Welcome to the forum Dave, I would do what Brett said and run it by the dealer. At least get it documented under warranty. Later if they can't fix it at the local level I would think about Decatur. Bill
  20. Look heare. http://www.goldenhorizonrv.com/products22.html different opinions https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBzy4F5sxYE Different materials. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VuH9pHgz4nE Looks like my coach but I don't have the bra. Bill

The people are trying hard but it is a little rough. Narrow sites but utility’s worked. SUN VALLEY RV RESORT, 86029, 7625 Quartzsite St, Holbrook, AZ 86025, sunvalleyrvresort.com (928) 524-2972 Fender's River Road Resort & Motel, 3396 Needles Hwy, Needles, CA 92363, fendersresort.com, (760) 326-3423. Don’t let them put you down the hill by the river. Not the greatest but ok for overnight. Are you taking highway 64 out of the grand Canyon area to go to Monument Valley? Sun Valley and Fenders were basically for overnight. They arn't fancy but worked. Bill
  22. Did you have any problem opening the right door? It looks close to the wall. Bill
  23. I switched to the FMCA plan because Coach net increased in price. I used Coachnet one time and had no complaints. Yes I looked at Good Sam's but I see a lot of complaints. Bill
