  1. Let me test it now. Still not seeing my signature. Bill
  2. I have dual front slides and I don't see me buying a coach with just one front slide even if it was just me. No slides, forgetaboutit. Bill
  3. That's it, I don't know why I can't see my sig or any ones else now, I could before. Bill
  4. Why are no signature displayed now? I checked my settings and yes I still have one in my profile. I can see no other signatures either. Bill
  5. It's not as hard as it sounds. I would look up what your max rpm is so you can stay below it. I don't know if your Cat has a rev limiter like my Cummins. My little 5.9 is limited to 2800. On big hills I will down shift till I can maintain about 2200- 2400 rpm. This keeps the fan speed up and the coach runs cool. Bill
  6. Well payed my money so I better go. We will be going in early on the 6th to be parked with the Red River Rovers. We will have a Forum Meet & Greet, I don't have a schedule, yet stay tuned. Keign, be sure you tell them you are first timers. The same for any first timers as they have special events planned for you. Bill
  7. Welcome to the forum. I would start with Sam's Club or Costco. You should be ablle to find ones that meet or exceed the ones you have installed. Bill
  8. Cleaning the CAC and radiator are/should be an annual task. Just part of your annual maintenance. When driving in the mountains you may need to be a little more proactive in using the gear pad to keep your RPM up to help keep it cooler and ease the load going uphill. The basic rule of thumb is if you can't accelerate in a gear on a hill you should drop down to where you can. There are hills out west but nothing you can't get over. Bill
  9. The key here is to wipe them down before retracting them after they sit for any extended time. The reason, well a couple of reasons, makes them retract easily and helps prevent damage to the seal in the ram. It would be beneficial at the start of storage to wipe them down to protect the exposed shafts from coroshion. Bill
  10. I did call and they said If I sent 99.95 to cover shipping and handling they would send me my $5.00 commission. Bill
  11. 500 miles a day is more than I want to drive in a day. 250-300 is more my speed. The one thing that fascinates me is how much you can find to see and do in an area, especially if you just stop and look and don't worry about the next stop down the road. David it sounds like you are geting good mileage. Bill
  12. The people who have 5 Star tuners that I have talked to like the way it controls the excess shifting of the transmission. I haven't heard any big claims to increased economy or power but it appears worth the price to control the transmission. Bill
  13. It depends how long you want to be West. You could tempt her with a side trip to Las Vegas then you are on track to drop down 93 to I-40 and head back and stop at The Grand Canyon then Albuquerque. We were west this summer so if you have routing questions or questions about places feel free. What toad are you bringing? Bill
  14. I believe that is why I said to check each model year. You would think they are the same but untill Honda comes out and says they are.... Just looked at a 2017 Civic owner's manual on page 119 sayes " Improper towing, such as towing behind a motorhome or other motor vehicle, can damage the transmission." This covered the manual transmission. There was no section "recreational towing". So we shall see. Bill
  15. Well as far as how to get there just take the Mass Pike West I-90. Don't plan on being in the area August 4-13th that is the date of the BIG motorcycle rally in Sturgis. The town of Sturgis has a population of under 7000 but last year they estimated they had over 760,000 at the rally. I wouldn't be in the area for a week before or a week after. The last time we were in the area we stayed out in Hermosa at Heartland RV Park & Cabins, 24743 SD-79, Hermosa, SD 57744, heartlandcampground.com, (605) 255-5460 Nearby Rapid city has some interesting shopping, dining and is interesting because each street corner has a statue of a president. Badlands National park is just down the road. You are not that far from Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park. About 250 miles west on I-90 is Little Bighorn Battlefield National Park Lots more to see and do. Let me know what you like or are looking for on the way out and what rout are you taking back? Bill
  16. Yes mostly it will help you stop sooner. It is much better to stop a yard short than a yard long. You are talking Civic. Make sure you can tow it 4 down even if it is a standard. Look at the towing guide. I have a 2012 Civic auto I towed with a dolly and when looking found there were no Civics towable 4 down. The same for 2014. I am towing the last CR-V towable 4 down. Bill
  17. I have all the regular bills set up so I can pay them online or auto pay. I have a PO box so I just tell them I will be out of town and they hold the rest till I get back It has worked for trips over 90 days. The only problem I have seen with having mail that is sent to the house, is the "hold" must be renewed monthly. You can do it on line. I f I was going to be gone a long time I might need to have it forwarded but so far I don't see the need. Bill
  18. The algae doesn't grow in the diesel but in the boundary layer with the water. I don't think the type of diesel has that much to do with the algae problem. The biggest problem I have heard is biodiesel has the ability to aggressively clean your fuel system and can cause clogged filters till the system is clean. Like Britt said this is a complex subject.
