  1. Welcome to the forum. Hopefully when the Continental program comes online it will provide some leverage to improve the Michelin advantage program. When I was buying the tires for my CR-V I learned there are several "levels" to the Advantage program. You can start your own program. While I wasn't in the market right now I ran the price for 255/80/22.5 XVR Price from dealer was $594.34 price through FMCA $503.10. I can't find the quote for the other ones but it was about half the savings as the 255 tires. I agree there doesn't seem to be a set % discount. Bill
  2. At least you have them for reference if you have a problem. Bill
  3. Now you can start on all the appliances and outher included in your package. Bill
  4. Those darn owners manuals, They have just two much info. Bill
  5. I had a Ford Fusion 2.7 ecoboost Platinum last week for a rental and it was a pretty nice car and got 30+mpg on the freeway and was fun in the sport mode but mileage did suffer. The big thing is it can be towed 4 down for those looking for a toad. Bill
  6. Welcome to the forum. I have to admit I am a Blue Ox user. You made me go look and I think it would be fine. They look like they are more like the Blue Ox as they don't have all the parts of the towbar stuck on the front of your toad (when not towing) like the older tow bars. I would get the "off road" model as it is easier to hook up and unhook if you aren't straight and level. Trust me this happens sooner than later. Bill
  7. Has any more info on the Continental tire discount program been released? Bill
  8. Welcome to the forum. Here is a handy comparison tool. https://tiresize.com/comparison/ I have not heard any bad reports on the Toyo's Bill
  9. Welcome to the forum JC. I have a walkway on the near side of the bead and guess who claims that side. The last trip was the only time we stayed a Pilot. I parked on the side and ran the back slide out. Bill
  10. I found some rocks hidden in the grass on a tight corner up by Yosemite. Scraped the front right two doors on the slide storage bays. Still looking for replacements in all the usual places. Bill
  11. When you have the alignment done, I would have it loaded for travel. Changes in weight = changes in height = changes in alignment. Yes it would be helpful to drive several different coaches to see how they handle compared to your coach. I hate to tell you but all coaches ride rough over rough expansion joints and bridge transitions and it is not just in Texas. Bill
  12. Welcome to the forum. Weigh the coach, all 4 corners is the best. then set air preshure as recommended by Michelin. You are not going to get a luxury car ride, some roads are better than others. The same as the wind sway when geting passed. You are driving a big barn door and it will catch the wind. How many miles have you driven it? Sometimes it takes a couple of trips to get use to driving a bigger vehicle made on a truck chassis. Bill
  13. I don't know how much the difference is just marketing or actual difference in the product. Like you said using something is better than nothing. Let us know how it works. Bill
  14. Without seeing the problem the only advice is to buy a big enough TV to cover up where the enclosure was. Bill
  15. Chris, You bring up a good point. Always when looking at coaches (if you are interested in one) have them bring in the slides so you can see what it looks like and what if any acess problems you might have. If where I am is mostly level I don't use the levelers. The only restriction I have with the slides in is no acess to the drawers at the foot of the bead and you would need to go over the bead to get to the big closet in back/the outher side of the bead. This is not a problem for us as we seldom spend nights outside of a campground. We can use all the outher features when stopping for lunch ect. I haven't seen many coaches you could walk around the bead with the rear slide/slides in. I have a friend that didn't look at his 5er with the slides in and found he couldn't get to the bathroom or refrigerator with the slides in. Bill
  16. The OP was asking about 12volt lights to and they come off the house battery. Bill
  17. One outher option is if you have power where the RV is stored, leave the battery installed and on the trickle charger there. Bill
  18. Sometimes the longer way is the better way. Happy New Year. Bill
  19. While I think that is a good idea I don't think it would be feasible because the road conditions change at least monthly and in some places weekly. The outher thing would be there would be no standard of reporting conditions as it is totally subjective. What one person thinks is ok might be terrible to someone else and vise versa. This summer I saw a van like the one in this article doing a "road surface survey" out west. http://newatlas.com/road-laser-scanner/27345/ I would pay a bonus to whoever figures out how to make the transition to and from bridges smooth!!!! Happy New Year Bill
  20. I would never use slide jacks unless they were supplied by the manufacture. To much chance of damaging the slide and components. Happy New Year Bill
  21. The only thing that could possibly cause a problem is if there was a sensor in that diffuser that isn't in the aftermarket one. I have never seen one but I would do what Brett said and call and talk to the source. Happy New Year. Bill
  22. I have said it before, we need to require the contractors to maintain the road for a minimum of 5 years after it is built. There are many things that will extend the quality of the road surface but they are not used. Because the contracts are (BY LAW) given to the lowest bidder regardless of the history of the contractor. There is no final acceptance inspection or warranty period. The road surface can start to fall apart the first time traffic crosses it and there is no recourse. Well except to give a contract to the lowest bidder again. Bill
  23. Like Brett said, it is going to depend on the weather and your tolerance of the conditions. If you are going to have bad storms you might consider going straight down I-25 to I-10 then east. Longer but further south. There are a couple places on I-25 that could be a problem to, so it will depend on what is happening just before you leave. Bill
  24. Welcome to the forum. Well apparently the OP Mikey229617 never reported back (it would have been nice) with the results. You should still be under warranty. I would take it to Ford. Have you called Tiffin and talked to them about it? Bill
  25. It sounds like you dodged the spark plug problem. Now all you have to worry about is getting the "LOOK". Bill
