  1. Like all the big climbs you just manually downshift. The biggest thing is outher traffic. You can get caught behind trucks or Explorers struggling up the hill. Just relax and enjoy the scenery. I drove most of the big hills with my last coach that only had a 300 hp ISB. I am working on repeating with this coach. This year I drove the Grapevine in Ca. and Raton in NM. Same problem slower traffic. Last year we came down from the Providence area on I-95 to the Port Chester area and picked up 287 to the Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge. Never use the George Washington Bridge. From there you can take I-78 South. Last year we went to the Lancaster area then to Western Pa. So Joe is the expert on south of there. Bill
  2. Why do you feel you need a separate group for just Workhorse Chassis? There are people hear who have experience/knowledge of several different make chassis. Bill
  3. I did that on my CR-V. I got the kit from Ble Ox but I didn't see it when I looked now. I would call them and see if it is still available. Bill
  4. Welcome to the forum and thank you and your family for their service. Bill
  5. Welcome and thank you for your service. Bill
  6. Please do. moonwink, When I was at the Arizona Rally I actually talked to the people at the Tech Connect booth and now have a new Franklin T9. I have only used it this last week when I was at Texas Motor Speedway but it seames to work just fine. Bill
  7. We have stayed a couple times (including after the FMCA rally at the Fair Grounds) at the at the Tucson / Lazydays KOA Resort. It has some sites with dog runs built in and they do have some with covered parking. Bill
  8. Hear is one that is close on EBay https://www.ebay.com/itm/124914491564?_trkparms=amclksrc%3DITM%26aid%3D1110006%26algo%3DHOMESPLICE.SIM%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20200818143230%26meid%3Dd83534a177de4df4b031df7f39a47c86%26pid%3D101224%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D5%26sd%3D133839256159%26itm%3D124914491564%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2047675%26algv%3DDefaultOrganicWeb%26brand%3DFreightliner&_trksid=p2047675.c101224.m-1 Bill
  9. I would suggest keeping a record of what fuses control what lights as you test for future reference. Bill
  10. I want to make shure I understand this response, from someone who made the effort to go to the Rally in Tucson and after paying for a day pass was to busy/rushed/self important to wait his turn to talk to the people at the booth. Looks to me like the problems are owner originated or induced. You might call Herman I think he might have the secret insider phone number to get results. Bill
  11. Mike, I just bought new chassis batteries from my local Freightliner dealer (parts counter) they were original equipment AGM batteries (group 31) for $86.00 ea. I would call and see if they are still doing that deal. I didn't have any problems with my coach but I have a Spartan chassis. I realey haven't heard of any major problems. Never had a problem when I had a Freightliner. Bill
  12. Great and fill out/put your info into your signature (see jleamont above) so you don't need to enter it every time you have a question. Bill
  13. I thought you should dump when it got ankle deep in the shower?? 🤣🤣 Bill
  14. Bob, welcome to the forum. Ok lets start with how much experience do you have driving big RVs? I know it was asked above but. What is your tire preshure? What is your suspension air preshure? Have you changed /upgraded your shocks? Have you checked your rubber bushings in your suspension to see if they are in good shape? On my last coach I replaced the stock ones with pollypropalean ones that were stiffer and it helped. Back to the tire question. I dought it would make enough difference to be noticed. The outher thing is I would check how much clearance you have in the wheel wells. I have always been a proponent of upsizing tires, but on my current camper there is no room. Make shure you check with the air bags dumped. If you want to know the difference in tires look at this app. https://tiresize.com/comparison/ Bill
  15. Good question for Newmar. You might be able to take the pegboard out in the last storage bay in front of the rear wheels on the passenger side. Bill
  16. So did you hire a inspector? Where are you located? Now you need to update your signature. Bill
  17. I would install a T at the oil pressure sender and see what it realey is doing. I would also manually downshift on the hills to keep engine rpm up. The statement "I have to release the throttle for it to go out, which slows me down even more." Makes me think it is the sending unit. Because lifting on the throttle for it to go out would slow the engine and lower oil preshure more. Let us know what you find. Bill
  18. I don't know but that looks like just the door/cover that is part of the generator slide came off. If you have them it shouldn't be that hard to re install them. We shall see. Bill
  19. Don't know exact route or timetable yet. Will let you know. Bill
  20. So they are going to fix it and not total it. If that is the case lets see some before and after pictures. Bill
  21. Once apon a time I to lived in the the cold north. Now I just visit when the weather is nice. We have plans to head east then north starting the first of next month. Bill
  22. That is more damage than I thought you had. Did you keep the part that came off? Bill
  23. I think you passed the test. Bill
  24. Let me try to understand, you spent a whole $10.00 to get in at the Tucson FMCA Rally yet you were so rushed you couldn't wait your turn to talk to the tech at the booth? I wonder why I didn't have any problem talking to the man at the booth at the Tucson FMCA Rally? I went buy and talked to them a couple times. Never a problem. I am now on a T9 Franklin. Bill
