  1. This is a critical question, many Mopar products have had this problem, due to electronic steering, there is a fix from Mopar if yours is one of those models. Without the requested info we can not be of any help. The probability of air bags deflating and reinflating on their own without a loss of air is not likely.

    Tire pressure

This is my recommendation also, although the ride may be harsh until you can get the coach weighed correctly and adjusted accordingly.
  3. I had one of my radiators rebuilt two years ago, a shop here in Alabama took it apart, sent the core to Dallas Tx., to make a new core, had it all back together in less than a week, there was no need for expedition a there were no trips planned at that time. Cost was $2000.00. Two weeks later a got a return call from the OEM, diesel radiators in Chicago, they had mine in stock for $1586.00. Unfortunately when I called four weeks prior and left a message, my request had been misplaced, so they said. I'm also fortunate that there is an electric rebuild shop within 3 miles of home, I have not found an alternator, or starter that they could not rebuild yet.
  4. Sorry didn't notice the part of the problem with it not cooling correctly after it goes on propane, if in fact that you can manually change to propane after a couple of tries. This problem can be that the stack may be dirty, or improperly placed over the flame, or improper orifice has been used with the new cooling unit. And as Carl says, a bit more information would be helpful in offering some remedies. I noted above in choosing a residential fridge that you should check inside the fridge door about the max amp draw, some of the very cheap small fridges do not have a spec plate in that location. Stay away from those models, they are using old school technologies and require very high amperage, which is not energy efficient. I always look for 5 amps or less, 5 amps requires 600 watts of power as a reference point for you. My current fridge is a maximum of 3.9 amps, 500 watts is sufficient for it. LG makes one that uses 3.5, even better, but they do not recommend using it on an inverter.
  5. I think I'll have another cup! The thing about the popcorn ceilings, now people are using that same stuff on the walls and ceilings, only difference is that now we use a wide blade sheetrock knife while it is still wet, push the knife flat against it to flatten it, now it takes on the appearance of stucco. Most Florida homes and beach houses are using it that way for at least ten years now.
  6. That is a very large bill, but if in fact they did replace the cooling unit is probably in line with what one would expect. As I stated earlier the control board is the most eminent item that is probably still wrong with the unit now, I pulled my quotes of $90.00 to $130.00 for the board directly from the internet, and am still assuming that you have a Norcold 1200 fridge. If one shops wisely for a residential fridge that will fit your space that will be when the old unit out, it can probably found for $1200.00 to $1800.00. By wisely, I mean that one should shop for one that most likely can run on your present inverter. I have a Samsung 20 cf fridge that I bought at Lowes 6 years ago that has served us very well. It is a French style 3 door unit with the freezer on the bottom, these style work much better in a MH because of the freezer being on the bottom, can be built to consume much less electricity. While shopping, look at the tag inside the fridge door for the lowest maximum amperage draw that you can find, this is the determining factor in how large inverter you must have.
  7. Welcome to the forum Splash. Sorry you are having those problems with your fridge. Personally I would look for another shop, an element is a $75.00 or less part, nothing more than a heat element that heats the liquid in an absorption type refrigerator. In most cases with a competent tech can be replaced in less than hour. If the control is not automatically changing, then I would suspect a bad control, these can be purchased for $90.00 to $130.00, depending on where you buy them. again, no more than a hour for a tech to replace. But if you are comfortable working on your own, you can pull each wire off and replace those one at a time to make sure they go back to the correct location, 50% of the time this will correct your problem, just make sure that no electricity, 12 volt DC or 120 V is present while doing this. I agree with Carl, before paying out another $2800.00 on that fridge I would find another way.
  8. Joe I was in TN. while this was happening, and not checking in very often, sooooooooooooooo I missed the fun. On Tuesday of this week, the forum had a major hiccup and it was for a very good reason, after the forum came back up the security certificate was in place (SSL), which means that now all transmissions between you (or anyone else) are encrypted to the forum server. I do not know what level encryption they are using but basically now what you are doing while on the forum, it is much the same as talking to your bank now. Hackers are not able to slip bad situations into either your computer, or the server through your conversation. When you see this in the address line https://community.fmca.com, this means that all transmissions are encrypted. This protocol was developed by and for the military many years ago and is still the best form of security. There is another engine that I sometimes use called Dogpile (www.dogpile.com), I like it better than the one that Rush mentioned. But by and large I still use Google (with all their tracking) more often because of a much wider range of scope for locating a particular item.
  9. Here is a picture of the back side, the bulb appears to be a twist type application. with some type visual aid, mirror or phone camera, a long handle plier or channel lock, I would bet that it can be maneuvered out and back in with the replacement.
  10. We always bathed in sulfur soap before and after any trip to pick blackberries while growing up, never knew what a red bug was till I forgot to do that.
  11. Not nearly as hard as one may think. A spray bottle filled with plain water, spray a three foot circle at a time, wait ten minutes, then with a 6 inch sheetrock mud knife, just scrape it lightly. I use a paint roller pan just under the knife to catch the residue. Have removed an entire room ceiling of that junk in less than an hour. Biggest problem is that sheetrock finishers only mudded with two coats of mud instead of three, then did not sand before applying that mess. So if you do remove, then a nice light coat of mud where needed makes for a nice ceiling that can be painted. You buy the house and call me, I'll take a vacation to help you with the project. Only problem is, I'm a big eater.
  12. Thank you Herman, I totally agree!
  13. Beautiful work and cabinetry. I suspected either Newell or Evolution, even Country Coach did not use that much detail. Not many have heard of Evolution, I know the owner, John Cherry, his work doesn't start below $1.5 mill.
  14. I found pictures Carl, it is rear access, don't want to break that thing. Replacements for those are $102.50 on Amazon, not including bulbs. Headlight bulbs are rear replacement also on that model.
  15. This thread is beginning to remind me of the happy motorcyclist! How do you know one? Just look for the bugs on their teeth. Joe the popcorn ceilings are due to the fact that they haven't caught up yet.
  16. Welcome to the forum. If you can snap a picture of the turn lamp assembly and post, it may be the same as on another brand coach than yours and may get a quicker answer than waiting for someone with 2009 Tiffin Allegro Bus.
  17. You don't need the reefer, that's the one with the red dye, ok unless DOT should happen to stick it, takes several fill ups to get that out of the system. I bought 255.89 worth on my FJ/Pilot card last Saturday, inserted the card entered the control#, took picture of the pump# and total, then drove off.
  18. The pancake is called a griddle cake, 6 inches diameter and about 1 1/8" thick three tbs. of real butter on top, a little chewy inside almost like pound cake. The platter contained 2 eggs, at least a pound of hash browns, grits, sausage gravy, two ham slices 5 inches and a half inch thick, 2 slices Applewood bacon and a huge sausage patty. They call it the farm tenants choice. Joe I thought about you while eating. Yummy! And now to my saga about lousy pavement, some genius in our road department has come up with a brainstorm, They take a pretty good road to mill, only problem is they have a new milling machine that no one knows how to operate, it strips (mills) the pavement, heats it and adds liquid asphalt to the rap, then puts it back down in one pass, that mess is rougher than what they just took up. Now to add to the punishment, they put a regular mill at every intersection to remove the pavement for resurfacing, only problem with this is they dig down 4 inches next the mess they already made and 5 inches next to the side roads, hit this at more than 3 mph, and your front end is out of alignment. 7 weeks now and about 35 miles in the city limits, just started putting new surface down on top of this mess, and it looks like they will only do the through street before retopping to the side roads, new topping is 1.5", so add that to the 3 and 5 drop-offs.
  19. Speaking of breakfast, we tried a brand new place in Pigeon Forge last week, what a breakfast menu. Five Oaks Farm Kitchen, no I did not eat the whole thing. Sue and got a share plate and still took some home.
  20. Before using rainex, clean the glass with 10% ammonia, 10% isopropyl alcohol, 80% distilled water, I like to use newspaper to dry the windshield, for a squeaky clean appearance.
  21. I've seen the clutch assembly fly apart causing almost the same kind of destruction described by the OP. I prefer the flexible fan over a fan clutch, the blades go into a flattened condition making them quieter at higher speeds.
  22. Pull the strainer, and use a drain claw, hair and soap are bad to clog the P-trap just like a lavatory. This is assuming that every other drain, lavatory and kitchen drain ok, if these are also sluggish, then a hose pipe on the roof to clear the vent.
  23. I have successfully had several specialty radios including Kenwood repaired at Rickwood radio in B'ham, Alabama, they are certified dealer. Here is the number if you want to call, Phone: (205) 942-5595.
  24. The PFJ card is 8 cents off of the cash price stated, or 5 cents off of gas, or 5 cents off of propane, and you pay monthly, unless you want to log on to your account and pay more often.
