  1. Rummer has it, that the EPA will discontinue mandatory DEF....Seems that the exhaust is killing trees! Have not been able to confirm.
  2. Well, all I know, is that Flying J/Pilot headquarters is in Knoxville, Tenn...also, where the CEO & Owner lives! A family buss. Jimmy Haslam! Interesting read.
  3. Richard, the odds are good, that the Auto shops in his current area (Carolina) is closed due to a Major Cat 4 hurricane! bburns8, Do you have a fuel place nearby? Go fill up coach and fill up water, get what food you need and head South West, NOW! Your house batteries don't have anything to do with you driving the coach....Crank up and go! Don't be a statistic... The further South you get, the further you'll be from the "Dirty" side of Florence!
  4. I think Byron has stock in Flying J. Wonder what he uses, when there is no Flying J or other name brands around? Such as most mountain area's of Colorado!

    Lake Tahoe

Have you checked to see what part of Yosemite is open..they had a big fire there about a month ago!
  6. JD. Did you have the front and back of coach, checked for Alignment, before installation of the STP ? I used that system on a 07 WB Tour and it was night/day change in handling! Have never used Bell Crank on a DP only a gas with Chevy chassis! Would think one is negating or fighting the other...
  7. Thanks! Had forgotten about the "Red Line"....long walk, for me. Linda would have no problem! Been 28 years. Joe. I can not think of any city in the world, that does not have the Hop-On-Off, 2 decker bus!!! We need more in USA. Linda and I took the new Blue Line, smaller and more agile, in Bergen, Norway last month!
  8. I was referring to the person who reads the Forum as a first time owner of a Motorhome. They have a coach, rated for 5,000 pound tow and after reading your comment, go and get a 10,000 pound bar, 16 foot trailer and put 8,000 pounds in it ! We see that combo all the time and we know better! But, the Newbie don't....Just like the Sales man, who tells the first time buyer of a 16,000 pound 5'er, "you can pull this unit with your F-150, No Problem"! Most of the folks on this Forum, knew exactly what you was talking about, but this is not our first Rodeo!
  9. Byron, in the 60's, 70's you could end up with "Barge gas". Old, nasty, tar like fuel. In 2008, I got into heavy condensate from a very busy T/A truck stop on I-10 in TX. engine stopped in parking lot...got 3 glasses of water out of fuel filter, before I got diesel.
  10. Like Jim S. Also, used generator as a power source for weeks, at ranch in Gladewater, TX., during Hurricane Rita! In Christmas of 2004, Galveston Island, got 7 inches of snow! The compressor at house died and my dog and I lived in coach for 3 days!
  11. Mike. Welcome to the club! As long as you need help here, like me, your in school. The answer is above my "pay scale"!
  12. The factory must have changed the amount gears from 4 to 6. I only had one 2500, it was 4 speed with OD, mated to a Duramax engine in a 2500 Silverado! 56,000+/miles, never an issue, no matter what I pulled...I also used it as a toad.

    Rotor Needed

Have you tried REV Tech ? REV owns all Monaco products and parts!
  14. Guess he got the problem fixed. He's a busy man & travels a lot for business!
  15. Joe. Linda has never been to Boston area. Since we will be coming back from 2 months in the Maritime Provinces, early Sep. my issue is where to park a 45 footer? 4 days ought to fill her up! Also, when going into town, am I better off taking a cab?
  16. Sorry Bill, not buying that one! A 5,000 pound rated coach, does not need a 10,000 pound hitch for any reason or a 10,000 pound tow bar! Keep in mind, a lot of newbies, read or are on this Forum and we do not give out miss information!
  17. As long as you keep the CAC clean, you'll be fine! Take it, that your 5'er has more living space than the coach?
  18. I downshift my 3000 manually, in/off cruise control, up or down steep grades and have had no issues. The idea is to keep high rpm's. If you don't downshift, you risk "lugging" the engine...that's not a good idea!
  19. A no brainer for all. Richard, in your coach I agree 100% with your solution!
  20. As Richard said...now it has begun! There are times on the Forum, that reminds me of, "One flew over the Cocoos nest..."!

    Lake Tahoe

Nevada side. More to do! Also, when are you going? In what?
  22. He should be scared to death, for all of us, on the Hwy with a centenarian behind the wheel. Leon is no Spring chicken!
  23. Herman. Thinking it was back about 10-12 years ago. The 1200's was chucked out at CW and replaced...back of the shops had dozens. Richard, you might be on to making money, if you can get one put together for less than a replacement.
