Jen. I asked Linda (my significant other) about any flow restrictions on a 2.5 to 3gpm water pump with L fittings...she said there would not be any noticeable difference. Linda was in the water well drilling business for 25 years. The main difference between the 2 pumps, that I have found is that SeaFlow is used primarily in a marine application and the water tank is generally below the pump...SurFlow has been building pumps for the RV industry for over fifty years and the water tank is generally at level with or above the pump (back in the 70's the pump was at the same level, inside the coach as the water tank was under the bed. Now, will a $30 dollar pump work as well as a $60 dollar one, over time? I think Brett or Joe S would have the most knowledge about the 2 pumps....they both have or had boats with full inside plumbing. FYI. Linda replaced her 3 chamber SurFlow in December, with the new 4 chamber SurFlow "Revolution". She and I both taught it was not working, we could not hear it, but the water flowed on demand (she has a 2006 Phaeton 40DP). The pump was a 2004 model. I'm having mine replaced Monday, my coach is a 2010, my pump is a 2004.

Thank you Bill.

We can only suggest things to you. Have you put a volt meter on your ignition solenoid? Have you checked the wire from the ignition to the solenoid, all it takes is a loose ground wire!

Not going! Have had my fill of California traffic! Thanks anyway.

Power Need To Tow 12,000 lb Trailer
manholt replied to LEEDIANNE's topic in Toads-Towed Behind Motorhome
Thank you Jon for your insight, and information. The only thing left is to make sure that the chassis is rated to tow 12K+! There are a lot of coaches out there, both gas with Banks system and DP's, that tow 10K more than they are rated to haul...Safety for yourself and your loved one's is paramount, so is the safety of others on the road to be considered. So, to answer your question. No you don't need 450 to 600 hp, what you do need is a coach that will handle the load, within the law. Yes, we have laws now that was not there in 99! I have had coaches since 1967 and a lot of things have changed in that time to now! I will suggest you get a pre 2006 coach, that way you don't have to mess with all of the new emission laws! A 300HP gives you as much torque as a 395HP, just takes a little longer to get there! Also, don't get a trailer that's almost as long as the coach, you'll have the tail wagging the dog! -
F448151...did you have something you wanted to add or comment on ?

Tom. First off what kind of coach have you got, second where in Mexico are you going and third is are you ex military with USAA insurance? If you have USAA your covered on your policy for up to 100 miles. If you intend to go further than 100 miles, then the first thing you'll need is a Visa from the Mexican Embassy her in the States! I was in Rocky Point (Porto Penesco) it's 80 kilometers from US Boarder in AZ. I got Mexican Liability insurance $127 for 10 days! That was in March of 2014 and my coach was worth $392K at the time! I had no problems. I would not get Mexican full insurance, on the fine print, it only covers 20% after a $26,000 deductible.

Mike. Yours is a Newmar, from what I have heard and read in the last month, they come out of the factory pretty much aligned. As for a gas coach, I have not heard anything, but would be surprised at a big difference!

OK Brett, what is the CHF? My feeble mind is a blank also, why not liquid springs?

Mike, Barb. Welcome to the Forum! Sorry, you too Buddy! Have your coach weight front and back, then each corner, that's in travel mode with all of you in it and full fuel, water and all that you will be taking with you on the road. But, before you do that, have your front alignment checked along with toe and caster. I have always liked Safe-T-Plus and have used them on several gas coaches and 2 DP's. Good choice. Heavier Trac bar than factory is good. What is CHF? Sumo's are good, have you checked out Liquid Springs?

ks. The usual companies will do it. Did it nick the window or put cracks (more than an inch long) in it? If it's a nick or star with less than one inch lines or be covered by a quarter, then call a mobile window service to come out and put the pads on, it will look like new for less than $100 and don't call insurance company. I just had mine replaced yesterday, 14 inch crack on drivers side, $3,176 I paid my $500 deductible! In Texas, if it's on the Driver side, it must be replaced before inspection for tags...mine was due this month.

They did not have the "Smart" wheel in 2002 for Beaver or CC. one side of mine has the cruise control, the other side has windshield wiper controls...my Allegro Bus also had radio control on the back side of wheel...my fingers kept running into that button and my channel disappeared...stupid place to put control. are you getting power to your starter solenoid? What does your battery/ries show?

Kay. Those "snippy people" don't know a 1990 anything from a 2018! I have no use for those parks. I just go by how folk treat me...I'm the furthest thing from the Country Club or Social scene you'll find. Richard. You beat my best friend by an inch and his DW by 3. Got some photos in my album that was taken off Randy, Gail, Rudy M. (he was coach of Houston Rockets) and me. Back then both Rudy and I was 6 foot 9 and a quarter! We shrunk.

You filling up yourself? That would be fun, we could have a party....Ooops...Devil made me do it. I have seen advertisements for that beer in Texas. Lower Rio Grand Valley, 3 weeks ago...actually it was Linda who showed it to me! The same thing happened with Coors, right before they brought a dozen trucks from Colorado to the Houston Livestock and Rodeo! I was there, I'm a Life member of the old "Fats Show", now HL & R Show!

Joe. That's the side you sit on! Just move some off your cooking, camping supply's over to the other side...problem solved. That's pretty much the same we tell everyone to do, to balance the load side to side and back to front.

F448151. I can attest to that. Over the years, have saved a lot of $$$, started running Michelins back in 1986, that's 7 coaches! Prior to that, I used any tire out there that was available from 1967 to 1986!

$5.44 a gallon of diesel is comparable to most Scandinavian and European prices! That makes me feel really good when I come back to $2.39 to $2.70 here! However, I do remember 9 years ago, I paid $5.10 a gallon in Taos, NM. Ray. I expect they drop down for lower fuel cost, better and bigger rest areas, and truck stops! We also have higher speed limits in most areas!

Roland, I sent you a rather long PM.

Next trip to Alaska, I will take my 9mm and 3 empty 14 clips and sent it to a friend of Linda's via FedEx, she will do the same with her .357! We will buy ammo in Alaska and leave ours at home. It takes one page per gun and that's it. Not rocket science, you can without any problems ship your guns all over this World...just a little common sense is needed. If all you want to do is visit Canada, then pick a arrive back in USA point and ship your gun/clip no ammo to be picked up at UPS/FedEx/US Post Office. Done that in 2014, entered Canada in BC and Exited from Lake Louise, into Montana! FedEx with insurance was about $80.

I prefer May and late September, early October. Parents and kids are home, easier to get reservations. Bryce is my favorite, I'm 45' and I also take my Jeep on all (90%) trails at Moab! I don't rock crawl, like to keep what I have in one piece!

X2. Don't want to hear about a coach/house or both going up in flames, due to improper electrical connection! Your TV and electronics, like 80 or less, more than 98. I got 3 of those plug ins. Linda has about a dozen & uses them all over the ranch and her coach.

Joe. For this Forum, they felt an emogi with a halo was not representative for any of us! Surprised there is not one with horns..

Joe, that Lager Beer is sold all over Texas now! Blake. Your current tank is what I have for my Hydraulic System! POS.

Can't say that I have seen a copper shower before, that is copper right? Is it copper trim on the wall went also? Fit and finish is fantastic and I can see a lot of marine parts! There are times that I wish I was 5' 8" and not 6" 8"! That's a tight fit in the driver compartment. Looking forward to seeing more!
