  1. Harry. You'll be another hard core, Bill Edwards, before you know it.
  2. That's Keon's line and he has the sign to prove it...
  3. Herman. Galveston Island also have a Pleasure Pier, owned by Tillman Ferttita , the same one who owns Kemah, a dozen + Restaurant chains (like Landry's) and the Golden Nugget Casino's! He was born and lives in Galveston, also has too many other homes, 185 foot boat with helicopter and a Gulf Stream 5G jet. I forgot, he's CEO of U of H Board of Directors! Sorry, got carried away, by the Devil
  4. Kay. Liability Insurance, or personal Liability is minimum in Texas, what I mean by personal, is that you have a letter of credit from a Bank or financial institution for a minimum of $100K. Jim S. You are correct, but not enforced. I'm generally parked in a lot or half on/off sidewalk if there is one!
  5. The Big Bend, Terrlinqua area is very interesting, it and the inhabitant's, are like no others, I have found in the World. For about 100 Sq. miles, you have multi millionaires, living in harmony with poverty! The barter system is alive and well, a lot of "Stoned" or drunk people live there all year. Yes, it's very safe to be there and they have the annual World Chili Cook Off there, that draws tens of thousand's off people from all over the Globe! The Robertson's from Duck Dynasty, bought a 286,000 acre ranch in BB. Trivia of the morning! It's a Exotic Hunting Ranch for friends only!
  6. I like the color red, but that's a little to busy and the carpeting? An old friend had a 1985 Blue Bird DP 35 foot with your kind of sofas in back. He hinged them, so at night they slid into each other and made a queen bed, they used the Travasack Bedding (don't know if that company is in business anymore, think now you can get "bedding in one" at Bed, Bath & Beyond) !
  7. We seem to have different information on a bill that past the Senate and is stalled in the house. Stalled, does not mean it's dead...have to hammer out what each side want in "pork barrel"! Would be nice to have uniformity for the whole State, not different Laws for different Counties! An example. In Galveston County, they check my brakes, lights, turn signal's and brake light's along with running lights on my coach. This year (Monday) my coach was inspected in Bandera, TX. Looked at my 8 tires and that was it.
  8. Escapees has another place for weight at their park in Florida. The name of the town has escaped me! Think it's Bushnell.
  9. Since I have a fabricated reverse L that my Roadmaster fits in, I have no slack back there and my bar is level. The L bracket is good for 12,000 pounds at the apexes, so I'm not concerned about my Jeep wanting to mate with my Engine in a panic stop! I sold both my 26' and 30' Featherlight Staker's in 2014. Been there!
  10. Jen. Glad to hear that it's working, but it's only temporary as the underlying cause is still there. I suspect you have a Surflow 2.5gpm or 3gpm pump, do you know what it is?
  11. Rick. I'm still amazed that Newmar did not do that kind of fit and finish on their High End Coach to begin with! You used some good imagination to come up with this solution, it's apparent that Newmar needs Engineer's for their potty system! Job well done! I think I would go one step further and add a piece of metal as a heat shield between the exterior piping and Oasis exhaust...It also will help in debris management.
  12. The owners live in Freeport, Bahamas....good luck!
  13. F410xxx. When you say 8" riser! What are you referring to? My jeep is 3" and has 35 x 12.50 x R18...your question is confusing.
  14. Between you, Joe and Keon....this is one party I would love to attend...My Linda is a Great Grandmother, I got about 2 to 3,000 kids in 22 children's hospitals, so I'm no stranger to the under 18 crowed!
  15. Jim S. I was hopping you would chime in, since it's more your stomping area than mine. I only go for the Golf and like you, the 4 wheeling! Don't know if you have had the pleasure off meeting Roland and Linda, but they are real people!
  16. Brett, this one is so far off topic, that I suggest we delete and start over. If Joe S. want's to start again, I hope so, as it's very beneficial to new RV'ers! The rest should be over on "Law" as you suggested. It is informative for us in Texas and those who chose Livingston!
  17. Considering where you live and spend most of your time, I can relate, only because I still have family in Norway & Sweden. What's very pleasant weather to them, is goose bumps on top of goose bumps to me! I have been in the South here and other HOT exotic places for the past 60 years...73 all the time is a nice, pleasant temperature! It may be -50 or +120 outside, but in my habitat it's 73!
  18. So sorry, Brett. I will now return to NORMAL and use osmosis to find out what is going on with OP and his batteries! Thank you for your patience!
  19. Wayne. The closest to the front door! The rest of you...I'm now on a different computer, 300 miles from my house computer! I'm now according to the Forum on a 14...see anything different from a 8? Ha it takes a 22, nothing below except for a 8..
  20. Roland, that road is good. They have a RV park inside BB suggest you call them and get a spot for a couple of days. It's nothing fancy, but level and doable. All main roads in Park, including 385 is 40 mph and that's fine...you will see a lot and enjoy it. Don't take the road to Presidio unless you decide to make it a round trip...the road from Presidio to Lajitas is very curvy, narrow and up/down 7%-9%...great day trip if you want to see Big Bend State Park also. Yes, one is State and one is National. I would take 118 out Alpine...If you have a week, then spend 3 days in Lajitas at the Maverick RV Park $37 full H/U it's a big resort with a GREAT Golf Course, one of the Top 15 in Texas! Your DW would go gaga over the views! Then take 170W to the State Park, wonderful drive in the Toad. When you leave Lajitas, go back to 118 and turn right, it will lead you into the National Park and then Join up with 385...I really would recommend some days there! 385 joins 90 a great drive to San Antonio via Del Rio.
  21. Herman. I thought you was a new Great Grand Parent? He's right, just because your over 65 and retired, don't mean you don't want kids around, just nice to know you can send them home! One thing we have plenty off is knowledge and we like to share!!!
  22. I will be back on my regular computer this evening Roland and I'll send you a PM.
  23. Richard. My Jeep was $77 + $25 for inspection, Diesel is $7 for inspection!
  24. I now have the same as Rick. Yes, Linda wanted comfort, I thought I had that, until she added the gel.
