  1. You both need to look at Motorhomes of Texas, PPL and anything North of San Antonio and West off Abilene. Texas! Sorry for your loss, Wayne! I feel blessed, my old home on Galveston Island, survived Allison and Rita. No damage! Now the new House, built 2007, survived IKE and Harvey, also with no damage! In Texas at least we have sticks & bricks on stilts, in most coastal communities....I personally feel that "floating foundations", should be mandatory in all coastal towns Nation wide and Tornado Alley!
  2. Tom. Nice thought, but good luck with that ! Outside of Texas, I try to shy away from Toll Roads....I'm out there to see the countryside and enjoy the journey, from point A to B and if it takes me to C, D, before B, so be it....if I want a fast, direct way...I'll fly! I don't understand, when I read comments about an extra day and a tank full of fuel on the NE Coast...have the States gotten bigger or are you just getting 3.5 miles to the gallon? Besides, if you can't see it all, this summer, then return next year.
  3. Keon. glad it works for you! Give my regards to Joe..
  4. I'm confused again! What does the GW and John have to do with any answer to OP? Does "John" have the same make, year, model of coach?
  5. As Tom Butler wrote...I can and do go to other Truck stops and get 15 to 20+ cents per gallon cheaper, than at Flying J, Pilot and Loves!
  6. Jeff, he meant "there should be 2 cut of switches"! I had a 2011 Allegro Bus and mine was between the Co-Pilot seat and the wall, on the floor. It had a setting for house and another for chassis or you could turn them all off. If you have an electric connection where you store your coach and it's less than 50A, use a trickle charger for the batteries, then you don't need to disconnect anything.
  7. UV exposure is everywhere. Heat has no bearing on that, that I know off! My tires are 315x80x22.5 Front and the other 6 are 295's, bought in August 2014. I'll replace them in 2020 or 21, I'm not full time and do an average of 13,000 a year! My best friend run custom made fifth trailers with the same size tires I have and his, last between 4&5 years, but that's due to mileage and lack of treads, not sidewalls cracking.
  8. You can get it back if things should change, or you need new tires! LOL
  9. Linda and I had a blast. She had never been outside the US, think I might have created a expensive wish list...she's talking about Spain, Portugal next. LOL How's everything going with your son & DW? Send me a PM. Dk, last I looked, it was not the re=order that was costly, it was the original amount.
  10. Irma with a west jog, saved a bunch off folks and it kept on moving, unlike Harvey that stalled out for a week! Having said that, just what is it that you would like to know?
  11. BillA. Beltway 8 is mostly toll with both electronic and cash lanes. I-10 HOV and I-45 HOV is 100% electronic! Hwy. 288 Toll is 100% electronic to Pearland, Hardy toll road is a mix bag.
  12. I have the EZ tag for coach and toad...Linda has TX tag. Hers work in OK, mine don't. Mine work in KY, hers don't, she got a $7 in mail and made the payment to Austin, TX. TX. Westpark toll rd. 100% electronic, I-130 Toll, 100% electronic, Hwy 99 toll, 100% electronic.
  13. Robert. Welcome to the Forum! Have you looked at the level of your Hydraulic Fluid tank? Needs to be on full mark. Also, look for any leakage in your Jack system and hydraulic manifold. Carl
  14. I have seen it in passenger side bay. Mine is fixed in the Passenger slide, behind a locking door! Confused.
  15. Tires are bigger, drive axel steering axel, tag axel, rear engine...everything is dependent upon the size of rig you get. Like a fifth, your a rolling earthquake and a DP weight more, sometimes a lot more...Don't try to compare mpg, I have never seen 10 mpg on any of my DP's! Most I ever got was 8.1 in a 36 foot, 450 Cummins DEF. My current coach flex between 6.2 - 6.8. Speaking off flex, the longer the coach the more you got to watch out for twisting the chassis. I change out tires on average about every 6.5 years! I cover them and use 303 as needed on all my exterior rubber. Carl
  16. Yes, Bill...think we are on the same page. Ray. In the US, I agree TMI...in Europe it has no effect for ID theft. The photo is taken in the Bank on special paper....I suppose it might be possible, like Chicken Little!
  17. BillA. I think as you, it will pass for all the wrong reasons! Also Dons2347 is correct in everything he said, we cannot reject a applicant from a chapter for having something other than a Motorhome, anymore than we can in regards to sex, creed, color, national origins or handicap! I foresee a lot of lawsuits...
  18. Now the DC and CC comes with the micro chip. My Visa cards, one in USA Bank of America, has been a DC since 1985! A Visa in Norway, DC since 1981...no problems on either! Flip the one from Norway over, it has my picture, DOB, Bank Acct. number and Birth number (same as SS here)! Both cards are free, no annual fee. I can have a DC from B of A that gives 5% back, but it has an annual fee of $185.
  19. I have the regular FMCA cards, time for a small change...Linda suggested adding a picture of the coach on the back in color! Kay. That really is a nice looking MCI you have! Saw a photo that Joe took, but the angle was wrong and it came out too dark. DD69. Nice paint job, I get tired of looking at all the "cookie cutter" coaches!
  20. Stan. Bet you and DW looked up and cringed going into tunnel....I know, I would ! Mine is 13' 3" with antenna!
  21. Not against the WW system, but when I can get the same results at 10% or less with other polymer products, why not?
  22. One picture of the whole system...not one segment at a time as earlier posted...would be a tremendous help!
  23. TLizzie. Welcome to the Forum! Depending on the system you have, your correct.
