  1. Jeff, Hi. Just call the office and you can get that info on INTO and National well in advance! As long as you have been doing your FMCA thing, I would have thought that you would know more than me!
  2. Joe. If both your tanks are full, but you still have water....you have a outside shower! Bill. Joes DW would give you more than just the look, if you dragged them to the public showers!
  3. Yes, welcome! Bill is a little confused today, he woke up and discovered to his horror that it's Mothers day, not Fathers...Oops! What does your owners manual say about being towed? I'm guessing that since your AWD, it's an automatic and you would need a Remco disconnect or lube pump to tow 4 down. Carl
  4. With WB nothing is simple, just broken, like Tiffin and AC. limited Quality control. .
  5. Just out of curiosity, what is the purpose of a slide with in a slide? Carl
  6. Do you know that you Quoted a 5 year old post?
  7. She learned all about running the gears and exhaust brake from Brett, then practiced all the way back from AZ via Ruidoso, NM.
  8. DD. That should make the, new to you one, taste better!
  9. Brett. Been there and done that. But Linda is fairly new to Mt. travel...3 trips up the Alcan does not prepare you for Angel Fire or the back way to Red River. She has been up Wolf Pass, but in a 32 foot not a 40 foot DP pulling a full size Expedition! That's the reason to take 285 to 160.
  10. I also have the electric macerator toilet and it uses a lot of water for everything a litter for yellow is ridiculous ! My 60 gal. is good for 8 days avg. Just me and no female basketball team...Gray is 80 gal. In summer with 2-3 showers a day, about 5 days...if I had Joe's tribe, 2 days max! Joe, water & honey wagon about $80 per! If you can get them! Apparently, your not the only one with a harem..
  11. Thank you, Linda and I will be coming out of Taos, NM (have some business to attend to), then heading to Denver. Didn't feel comfortable taking Linda up to Angel Fire and connecting with 64 to I-25.
  12. I have no problem changing channel when camped, on the road and alone that's another issue! Most times when on the road, it's on the BB king blues channel, but since he passed away, mow there is a lot of heavy metal on there, time and place for everything...channel 26 is classic rock, but not taking my eyes of road! 70% of my driving in Texas is Farm to Market roads.
  13. Send your thought and concerns to you regional VP. A lot easier than trying to throw it all into the National arena! Also, if your not with a chapter, pick one and let your voice and opinion be heard...Change takes time, not going to happen overnight and it won't happen at all if you just sit around and do nothing! I'm involved with 3 international fraternal and 1 domestic Clubs, FMCA, Six State South Central Region and 4 Chapters. I already know, what's going thru your mind, but I also did it when I was working! Carl
  14. I just read all of it and noticed that the $250 fine is for a commercial vehicle, private is $100!
  15. Bill, they only have PPL in Texas! These folks are in California! Besides that, PPL only sells on consignment, 15%.
  16. List it in FMCA magazine if your a member, any clubs or chapters that your a member of. Luck
  17. I use my coach air to fill up my Jeep tires, 45 psi when towing and 35 in the woods...sometimes 25, I do carry a air tank in jeep.
  18. Is Hwy 160 a doable road for a 45 foot with toad? Carl

    New to RVing

Kay. Reflecting back, I must admit that age has a lot to do with me and my girl friend slowing down. Up till 5+ years ago, it was all about the destination, so my cruise control sat at 73 on most Interstates. Now it's at 63 and the Destination is based upon when we get there, if we get there! We will have 6 weeks to get from Texas to Indy and FMCA. Slight detour to Taos, NM and Denver, CO.
  20. Good Bye to $249 a year Sirus! Like that a lot. My taste in music depends on the moment and Sirius does not have the flexibility! Thanks
  21. I understand what your saying, but to me and where I live...it's a tad nit picky and over kill. One thing don't fit all. From May to November in the South and particularly in Texas, I can check mine in the morning and be 5 to 7 psi low, get on the road and check again after driving 10-15 miles and be the same amount or more over! There are a dozen or more reasons why that is and half again as many mathematical formulas as why! Back in the era of non radial or steel belted tires, we did not have the Technology of TPM's and yes, I had blow outs a lot. Since Radials and Steel belted came about, I have only had one, same reason, no TPM technology ! My opinion is that #1 thru 7 is more of a concern in cooler parts of the Country. Just my 2 cents! Carl
  22. As long as you wash it of with a low pressure sprayer (I don't use soap, just a hose) and lube it every 30 days, you should not have any problems. Also, very important, is to allow step to open all the way, before putting any weight on it...that includes pets or kids! Since I started doing the above, have not had a problem in 3+ years! Carl
  23. Kay. That's pathetic, one more that should not be allowed out to play! Wonder how often he gets a Air Horn blast from a 18 wheeler?
