  1. There is a very good video by Fire Guy...ask FMCA where you can watch it and make sure you try the escape plan, before you might need it! I would not ride in a coach, where the owner had no escape plan beyond the frond door!
  2. David, there is a 2014 Essex listed at http://motorhomesoftexas.com/, good price also! http://motorhomesoftexas.com/coachrv/newmar/2014--essex--45--C1916 Carl
  3. Also, new or used? Carl
  4. I would just pick one, call them and get all the information about lot ownership in each state that your interested in. From what I've seen, they run from $20K to $200K+! Good luck.. Carl
  5. No. I was told you had been to Cracker B. prior to leaving. I went to I-20E to get on Toll rd. 49S to Hwy 110S . I'm at TCC and found out I have some more damage than what photos showed, about $6,000 more! Carl
  6. I would think Prevost and Newell is superior to anything else! Regardless of length...
  7. Have to agree with BillAdam on this. Are you looking to re-locate? Vacation property? what? I'm confused.
  8. Bob, welcome to the Forum. I have stayed at the Miami Everglades RV Resort, nice park and 10 min. from Harbor. Easy to get in and out for any size rig...need to make reservation now! Feb is high season. Carl
  9. david. Thanks for checking back in! It was nice meeting you in Shawnee and hope to do so again. Safe travels. Carl
  10. schnautz. Welcome to the Forum! ! Looks, is probably 90% of why folks buy one and then discover what they have been missing in ride quality! The down side of a big coach is cost of maintenance, also you need to be aware of the does and don'ts when driving...you can't run it like you did your 36' and your in the truck stop when your fueling. Wider turns, especially in camp grounds! Be mindful of where your rear end and toad is at, at all times. Your stopping distance has increased expodentialy, due to weight and inertia! Enjoy your new ride.. Carl
  11. Herman, diplomacy is not your long suit... Carl
  12. Good to hear from you again, Blake. Hope you still have just one hand free, on occasion! Carl
  13. Ken. Well said. After this year perhaps we can move forward, one year at a time! Carl
  14. Your 09' was built in 08', CC went full Bankrupt. and now is owned by Winnebago!
  15. Erniee. If you have not done so yet. Check out Prevost Stuff...several Royal's for sale. Carl
  16. Every state has different laws. I don't have any, but know folks that do and they have bought lots in one park. They use one and allow the park to rent the rest for a %, but more to it than that, just like renting out a condo...fees, maintenance, insurance, etc. Think FL. Carl
  17. They're not as careful as you, your paying for their time, in the event of an accident your still responsible, and on and on! Cummins don't pad bills, truck centers do! Carl
  18. Todd. Like you...I think we have better things to do! Carl
  19. 4-6 hrs for a test? How much do they want for that? Carl
  20. Skip. Only number 7. 1-6 has been in place since 1971, no one could have foreseen what would be forthcoming by 2016, just as we do not know what's going to happen in the future in regards to Motor Homes. I have no problem with the proposal and I hope the FMCA membership feels the same way! Carl National Director
  21. FIVE. You ever driven a Roadmaster 10 bag chassis? I drove a 2000 CC 40' Tag Prevost in 1999, I could not justify the cost and had no trade, to off set the cost, so I walked away, the ride driving it, was like no other coach I have driven before or after! So, I think the chassis has more to do with the ride, than the length...Drove a friends GMC 26' in 1976 and it also, was like a Cadillac! Currently I'm at Texas Custom Coach to get my back end fixed...turned out to be a whole lot more damage than expected, structural and fiberglass, and 1 Aluminum bay door to replace...will get a revised estimate and time frame later today...my guess would be close to $10K, instead off $2,425 original estimate based on photos!...after it's fixed a copy will be mailed to FMCA, this would and should never have happened to begin with! I was repeatedly told by the Parking attendants not to un hook my toad, that put this directly into FMCA's Lap! I was not the only coach that had a ops, because of the attendants in Shawnee, OK. 6 State Rally! Carl
  22. Medico. Your coach is for sale, $266,450 and your F # is still attached to your front end ! WOW... Carl
  23. Herman, Joe. I have kept a log of all my trips. Unfortunately a computer and camera was stolen in 2010, from my coach while I was out playing golf...stuck in a garage bay for 6 weeks in FL., never occurred to me, to back up a log...lost 4 years! Camera had 750+ pictures in it from a 2 week cruise to all the navigational Fjords in Norway...I had returned a week earlier and took my camera with me to FL so I could edit the Journey! Both items was replaced by the dealership. The computer lives at home now, it's a Apple and the one with the log is in coach, a Samsung. Yes, I back up everything every month! Carl
