  1. Rich. I take it your computer and files are up and running again?! Carl
  2. Tom. Thank you for bringing back to life some old memories! Makes me want to return and see what has changed, and how in the past 32 years! I was in Transit thru Denver 2 years ago, and several times earlier, but never stopped to look. Next time I will look, thanks to you! Carl
  3. Bill, you'll get no argument from me! Marathon drive will never cross my path again... I'm out by 10am and in, hooked up by 4:30pm, then HH. Carl
  4. Strange place for a TV....on top of dog house, hope it comes off easy so you can have access to engine! Well cared for! Happy travels Carl
  5. You want excellent beef in Amarillo. Coyote Bluff Café, Hoffbrau Steak House, Embers Steak house...Big Tex is a tourist trap, you will not find locals spending money on choice beef. The foremention has prime, aged beef! Also for good food, try the restaurant in the basement of the Police Dept. Excellent Tex-Mex and steak! Carl
  6. Bill E. Do you have the same chassis and air system on the 01' Zanzibar? If you do, pull 2 bags and try them on the 99', if it works, you need new bags, if not...another problem! Carl
  7. Contact Tiffin Tech Dept. they'll know...Tiffin keeps a pretty good record of all the coaches they have built...they like to brag about how many off the older ones are still on the road !
  8. daveglynn. Welcome to the Forum! Did you have a 2016 Ventana? if so, when did you buy it? A new one is what the Dealer can get for it. Google Newmar and see what the MSRP is, then subtract 30% to 35% and that's what you can expect to pay a Dealer if you haggle a little. They will generally add 10% on Manufacturer MSRP...so for us, we have a lot off % to play with! Sorry for your loss. As long as you and your DW is OK, everything else can be replaced. I'm guessing you need the info. for an Insurance claim....get a good attorney, unless you have "replacement cost insurance", they will low ball you to tears! Good Luck Carl
  9. CarlBrothers. Did you find anyone?
  10. Tabasco? Had no clue what that was, until I started work, chipping paint, on a work over barge, in the bayou's of LA. between NO and Pilot Town, in Jan. '64 ! That was not "the good ole days"!
  11. Donald. Welcome to the Forum! WOW ! A '78 KH, have not seen one in years and it's always nice to hear that someone still run and appreciate the older coaches! My suggestion for you, call Cummins Tech. Dept., Cummins owns Onan...I would start with Cummins Custom Care Div. Headquarter in Atlanta, GA. The CCD does all things Motor Home, gas or diesel. Whatever you do, stay away from Camping World ! Carl
  12. You both know, this post is over 4 years old? Carl
  13. Very grateful I did not have to explore the pros/cons of C-rat. (VN '62-'63)
  14. Wayne. Shock wave of gases that travel at over 25,000 ft/sec. primarily Nitrogen and Carbon Oxide. The gases cut into and expand any little seam. Heat or a bullet will not cause C4 to explode, it takes extreme heat and explosive to do it (blasting cap). When you set it off it will degenerate into gas. In small amounts it will burn and the gas will make you get a euphoric high, Hello VN ! Carl
  15. Tom...I couldn't help it.. Carl
  16. You where alive in the 1903 area?
  17. Berg. Welcome to Forum! I would call Winngard parts Dept. to see if they have the board...I read your post, but that don't mean that parts has depleted their stock. Same with Tiffin Parts. You may find it in a Direct/DISH shop in a small town, they do double duty, RV's and homes! Also, find a computer repair shop, they may be able to fix your panel. Luck Carl
  18. Would like to see that...
  19. WBill, I did earlier, impressive and scary, if your in a CRV or Jeep! I would think, they would move in a big crane and track dozer or two...I don't think they would blow it up! Way, to risky...don't need another slide, I was looking at the rocks behind the dozer. Mostly sand stone. Very unstable!
  20. Byron. If you don't, we may never travel together... I suspect that, sooner rather than later, we will have a luxury tax on RV"s! Every Socialistic Country has one, with the exception of Sweden and a modified one in Norway! Something to think about...
  21. Rut? Did you not see what the road now looks like? Another rut, is the least of their problems!
  22. We figured you did ! No, apology needed... I think Byron, after he got his Degree, realized that to get on the open road, beat a desk job anytime! Carl
  23. Herman. I only had forks out for King Cake, during a Mardi Grass Parade. Actually everyone knew the rules, get it in coach, take it outside to eat...we had 3 RV's on Seawall. Found out later that a friend of a friend, refused to follow the rules and took a 4 year old inside to eat...That became the last time any off us took our RV ! Now we have a 42' open goose neck trailer. As they say, "it only takes one ah to ruin a good thing"! Fork was not the problem....4 year old and cake everywhere, including bedroom!
  24. I had that sound in my Allegro bus, turned out to be the remnants of a plastic fork! Carl
