  1. Roger. We don't argue on this Forum! We try to help others and sometimes we miss, that's human nature! Why did you join this Forum? Is there something we can help you with? Carl
  2. Pack warm! I spoke with Fantasy about going 2 years ago...call them and they will answer all your questions and concerns! Carl
  3. Joe. Forget about skillet corn bread and scratch chili or, stew! Hard to regulate heat, that's why I went with regular electric...I love Cajun food and it's long cooking, unless your deep frying, now that you can do on Induction! I also love my cast iron and other cookware. Carl
  4. Ray. At 95K, you already have a very sweet deal! I have passed the word, and contact info, to the 13 Shrine Temples in Texas! 10 have RV clubs! Carl
  5. David. Great to hear from you again and happy you had a great first outing! I'm not opposed to the CRV, just a Jeep Wrangler guy! All depends on your life style. If I can't level by jacks or air...I'm out. I'll find a truck stop or Wall Mart, even in a storm! I stopped using blocks off wood for leveling 30+ years ago, now I use them to block front wheels when parked ! I'll be in Perry, perhaps we'll see you at the Forum get together the 17th at 5pm! Carl
  6. Joe. You need to roam around the Forum more. Your living a sheltered life! Your HOA is the Borough, whatever a borough is? Herman probably has a boro and I have a pair of ughs! Carl
  7. Herman. Confused. GY? Why did you not use the fleet program for your replacements? I also saw his price... Carl
  8. Get in touch with Remco....they say it's good, then go with it! Remco has been in the tow business for a long time! Sorry, you had to wait so long for a response! Carl
  9. I recognized my mistake after I posted! Tried to edit and could not.... Carl
  10. Gary. A Staker trailer, regardless of manufacturer, comes with 2 or 3 axles, depending on length/load. Mine was 34', 3 axles and held a 31' Scarab Cigarette with 2 engines, each at 640 hp! I pulled it with a 450 Centurion by Ford! This was back in 1994-2000, had I to do it over, I would have had a DP with the biggest CAT I could find. Carl
  11. I get it on regen, about 5 min and then the smell goes away even though the clean out lasts another 10 min. Nice part is, I know what it is and I don't have to pull off the road and stop...I still drive down the highway. Some units you must stop and wait. Exhaust pipes go over 1400 degrees during process! As campcop said, DEF engines don't have that issue! Carl
  12. Herman. Ditto! Cummins get's mine 2/24, it's been 13 months and 12,693 miles! Mine goes in every 11 to 13 months, regardless of mileage. In 14' I changed oil after 8 months...15K+ miles! This visit will be more extensive than normal, 7 years and 54K+! Carl
  13. First, I would call American Coach Tech Department with your Vin# and Fin#. They may have a more durable harness available. If not, then get a new one off the one you have. Good for another 105K and 12 years! Carl
  14. Court house! Just heard it on news this morning....Don't care if they advertise or not, made up my mind a long time ago! As for this post? Who knows.....raise your hand, it worked in school ! Carl
  15. Gray backs are good eating! Bake in oven 325 for 30 min. or grill, some Cajuns I know do a stew!
  16. A dealer ordered the gauge, 8 years and 2 coaches ago, don't remember name...it was not cheap! Freightliner is plastic, or was!
  17. FIVE. I don't see the GY mentioned in this post anywhere!? Carl
  18. jcbett. Unless your planning on hauling a 2 or 3 wheel bike plus a toad, I would just use the center receiver for your toad! Carl
  19. Casuall454. Good looking Jeep! Anybody who has a happy dog, is on my "good" list ! Maybe wrong, but your Entegra has a 20K hitch! Bill. I have had Staker trailers before, hauled "cigarette boats" ! Hit me over the head with a 2x4, why do you need certification? To me, your "weakest link" is the long tail. I would think that the chassis manufacturer would have compensated for that and the weight off the engine, so if you can pull 5K then you should have no problem with 7K....look at what goes down the Interstate, being pulled by Class C and A's....scary! If your trying to get re certified on your coach GVWR, good luck! You'll have a better chance repealing Obama Care! Carl
  20. tombrendafalls. What kind of coach are you referring to, that needs new oil every 6 months? In my 40+ years off Class A ownership, gas & diesel, I have never heard of that one! Carl
  21. Ray, Hana. God Bless! I'm going to miss your advise and adventures! Shame, you just got the cat trained....I don't suppose you can keep the DP as a guest house and see how Hana does over the next 6 mos. or so? Good time to sell is early Spring. Carl
  22. Hi Gary. You're right. Learn something new each day! Don't ever win a 6 pack from a guy who uses a pigeon for delivery! Carl
  23. That took care of towing! Now, on to original question by OP, brakes....? Carl
