    Double Coin Tires

I have survived for 72+ years, by putting SAFTY first and the expense second...I go with the expert and that is the Tireman! I have 8 Michelins, that I replaced in August of 2014, using FMCA Fleet Program! Look at the coach I drive, then ask yourself. "would I and my family feel safe at 65mph on, I want to save a few bucks tires?" You have a nice coach. If Michelin made "Mudders", they would be on my Jeep...
  2. Blake. No pun intended...LOL desertdeals690. If you do need a full paint job in future, go to "Rocky Point" , Mexico....$ 1,200 US for 4 colors! Friend had it done 3 years ago and I watched...great job! Carl
  3. Morning after the Company party...every body had a bad day!
  4. Is your coach level? Will the slide work with engine running? When it's "cold" outside, there is contraction and without a level coach, slides don't work real well. Blake has the answer if nothing else works. If you have to strap it, then go to shop!
  5. Newell would be my choice. Don't forget that 06' to 10' was not good years for the RV Industry! Carl
  6. Can you talk to the mechanic who fixed it 2 years ago? Or the dealer?
  7. Kay. If I remember correctly, Bluebird came out with their first Motorhome in 1973 and it had a Ford engine. Next, they used the 3208 Diesel aspirated and non aspirated. They came out with the Wanderlodge, top of the line coach, around 88' or 89'. Then the BMC. I don't remember the year that Bluebird made their last RV Coach...but they where top end coaches! I almost bought a 1985 DP 35', my wife won, she wanted a Barth. Bummer!
  8. I-55S, about 5 miles from Memphis is a good campground. Agree with Bill on Riverside in Little Rock. Since I generally come from Gladewater, TX. When going East or West on I-30, West bound I don't stop until Abilene, TX. If you have time, take I-30 to Mt. Pleasant and get on Hwy 271S to Gladewater, stay at Antique Capital of Texas RV Park, very nice. Then go Hwy 271 to I-20W...nice little side trip on good roads!
  9. 07' Tour, came with a Nocool and had it replaced with a 20 cu. ft. Samsung, no problems for 4 years! 11' Allegro Bus came with a Samsung French Door and the only problem I had was the plastic door tabs that kept on breaking...had metal tabs made, no more problem! The current Coach has a 19 Whirlpool 2 door...no problems! I have 2 good friends that I visit several times a year. One in NE Texas on a ranch, 2 miles of dirt road from gate to house! The other in La. Hwy 35 from I-10 to Kaplan has to be driven to believe and then a mile of dirt road to his house, also a large ranch! Then think of any bad road between E coast & W coast etc. I LOVE Residential Fringes!
  10. Very seldom that I run in below 32 degree weather, but when I do, I have Aqua Hot on, set at a comfortable 70! I can't relate to "0" degrees! My generator is also on...all electric coach.
  11. Ernie, Kay made no mention of Wanderlodge being a conversion. Prevost is also nice....but it all depends on how much he can spend...the last inquiry we had, it was $120K max and that is way low!

    Greetings

Happy New Year! Been retired 31 years and have not figured it out yet! Seems I had more time to do things when I was working...
  13. Interesting, but no info on weight. $ 5K is a bit steep!
  14. Happy New Year, Tom, and thanks for the reminder! Have no clue as to, how DMV computes the weight/cost! I asked the little Blake girl, but all she did was stare at me...I get to do it again next week on all my vehicles! Carl
  15. 2013 Modified Wrangler Sport Automatic. No base plate. Hook up to front bumper, "D" ring support. Road master A/T #6000 pounds. Invisa Brake (in a dust/water proof Lexan box). Blue OX is great for a heavy truck or SUV, but to heavy for me. The unit weights a ton! Transfer case in N and Transmission in P, key in my pocket. Happy New Year.
  16. "In XS"...(No, not the dead R & R Band).
  17. The biggest fee in Texas on RV's is License plate. It's by weight and mine is $832 per year!
  18. As Bill said...he's from Houston. I will assume he knows Texas and probably coastal La. That said, I would recommend the Milton, Fl. KOA, Exit 31 off I-10 for an extended stay...lots of places to visit in a 50 mile radius! Also, get on Hwy. 19/27/98 from Ft. Walton to Perry, Fl. and Perry to Hudson, Fl. Don't know where in Fl. he wants to go, but Chiefton or Hudson is a good jumping across Fl. spot. Tom mentioned Hwy 85 from I-8, it takes you to Anjo, then Why, Az. Organ Pipe is just north of Lukeville and it's in the NE section of the Socorro Desert. If you feel like it you can cross the border at Lukeville and go another 84 km to "Rocky Point, Mexico". Just make sure you have a full tank of fuel before leaving Anjo. In Why you can take Hwy. 86 to Tucson...good road last year! Happy New Year and have a great trip! Carl C.
  19. Too my knowledge, Freightliner does not take a 2 week vacation! Bob Tiffin being down that long...is new to me.
  20. Big enemy for Diamond Shield and Paint = Love Bugs! Get them off ASAP!! I have no pitting on my Shield, therefor, no reason to remove. For me, it's the biggest bang for the bucks and if I ever have to remove it, I would have it done and re applied by Professionals. My time, is the most valuable asset I have!!! The Blake Bra looks funky and the Plexi glass will yellow over time! Lexan is price prohibitive... Carl C.
  21. J. If read this link correctly, most of us can't legally go to FMCA convention this summer in Springfield, MA. I believe we covered this "Can of Worms" in depth on another post last year!
  22. Been 10 months! This will be interesting info for another....
  23. Herman. Happy New Year! Like your idea of one pass fits all States, but that is like Congress agreeing on a issue. It ain't going to happen in my life! From reading all the States that have a Tag, we would have as many cards to keep track off as we did in Texas during dry county days-- $3.00 for a club membership to get a beer! Carl
  24. I would do as Tom say's, but I would take I-30 out of Little Rock, then I-20/I-10 to Arizona. Less chance of deep freezing temps! Carl
  25. Got my current and a Allegro Bus from Lazydays, Tampa. Sales is good, service is not! I have noticed that their MSRP is higher than Factory MSRP. I will shop around before my next coach & talk to factory about price first...then order from a dealer that has good service! FMCA Convention is a great place to start.....
