  1. shyde555, Welcome to the FMCA Forums! What make and model furnace do you have? Do you have two furnaces, if so does the other one function properly?
  2. I test it annually, I replaced it when we bought it 6 years ago.
  3. I had a leak on the engine loop in the Aquahot bay. My engine pre-heat pump was leaking, the pump (which I never use) needed replaced, the part costs around $700.00. After doing some research I was told you simply cannot bypass it due to its offset design. LOL... Went to the hardware store, bought a piece of hard pipe and fittings, went home, heated and bent it to match the foot print of the pump, installed the pipe. Now we have interior heat from the engine loop again for less than $20.00.
  4. We always go for the little necks, otherwise they are too chewy
  5. This device is now available for testing the tower prior to plugging in. https://www.amazon.com/Progressive-Industries-Receptacle-Tester-Black/dp/B088D2JVN4/ref=asc_df_B088D2JVN4/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=459478253945&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=16531770091149451171&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9007366&hvtargid=pla-985603367991&psc=1 I have this one which appears to have been discontinued, the company no longer exists; I carry a back up from a lesson learned experience. A Campground smoked ours and we were just heading out for a day of adventure. After the tower was repaired I had to seek out a replacement or go without. It took the better part of a morning to get it all wrapped up so we could leave with piece of mind. Time is a precious thing when you are on vacation! The worst tower experience, we were in OK and pulled into a Campground after dark, found a spot, flipped the breakers up, I got shocked and the tower caught fire, glad I hadn't plugged anything into that one yet I am still not right after that
  6. They already own Entegra which is a top shelf brand.
  7. That's interesting! https://www.goshennews.com/news/thor-industries-buys-tiffin-motorhomes-for-300-million/article_794472b8-4396-11eb-a450-ff40ad0adb47.html#:~:text=ELKHART — Thor Industries Inc. has,A and Class C motorhomes.
  8. Well YES and NO. Progressive was bought out by another company. They still honor the lifetime warranty but it must meet the following criteria; Original purchaser can be the only person to submit a warranty claim. Must have the receipt of purchase. Must attach a photo of the electrical socket and plug. If any heat damage is present no warranty! Must not have any visible damage. I had my Progressive unit go bad on me camping in Maryland, fortunately I had met all of the requirements above. Their customer service department explained they were tightening up their policies. I had a Surge Guard unit fail also while Carl was over out house, it was 10 at the time and constantly in use. I sent that back to Surge Guard, they "rebuilt it" (looked like a new one to me...) and sent it back no charge, no fuss and no questions, I only paid for the freight to them. I have a Surge Guard at the house tower, a Surge Guard and Progressive portable in the RV (I carry a back up).
  9. Which is interesting considering most fleets have no way in the cab to monitor TPMS! Goes to show one hand has no clue with the other is doing. Fleets flip tires constantly, take off and match on other units or store. It’s daily occurrence, we struggle to get them matched in similar tread depth let alone program TPMS. In a fantasy world that has a one in a million chance of working. Fleet drivers ignore regen requests, engine lights and gauges until the are dead on the roadside. They can’t work a CB, TPMS light.... RV industry, this tire has a purpose!
  10. The simplest and probably the most cost effective solution, install mudflaps behind the coach tires (standard truck flaps). Most have them, if they’re not long enough add a few inches. Then they will always be there and there is nothing to fuss with.
  11. Bdata, welcome to the FMCA forums. Our coach also has 12R22.5's on it, I replaced the 295/80R22.5 since those are so difficult to obtain and only a few manufactures produce that size (I wanted options). My next round I plan on switching to the 315/80R22.5. Few items to caution; Wheel width, will your wheels handle that size tire? adequate clearance, especially in the front when you turn all the way to the steering stops, will they rub? Your tire installer should be able to see if the above items are a problem or not. The reason I am switching to the 315/80, the 12R22.5 is fading into the past slowly, and they are becoming harder to locate. The 315/80R22.5 is becoming more common and easier to come by. That is the main reason I switched in the first place, I figured if I had a problem on the road and needed tires the 12R would be easily accessible back then which equates to less time stranded. Since it appears times are changing I will be switching to the 315/80R22.5 next time I need tires.
  12. Dave, if all power is turned off that shouldn't matter. With no power to the control board its dead also.
  13. Just a little . What a difference 900 miles makes
  14. There appears to be a tether on the dogs front leg, or am I seeing something else?
  15. heavy rain and 39 today. Wednesday into Thursday they’ve upped the snow forecast to 12”+ of snow , could be as much as 18”. I am not and never will be mentally prepared for this much snow!!
  16. Jon48, are you experiencing any chips in the paint? This is our set up, we’ve been towing Jeeps for quite some time and never had any issues. All of the Jeep’s we’ve towed we’re equipped with some sort of lift being a leveling kit like the one in the photo or “3. Not sure if that helped. We only have the factory guard hanging off the underside of the coach.
  17. YUP, many manufactures feel the same way with an absorption refrigerator. However the OP has a "House" refrigerator per his original post. That tells me its a residential refrigerator but I could be wrong. Those come from the factory on the inverter now and many conversions flip those to the ice maker outlets behind the refrigerator so the inverter will run it. Our coach all outlets inside except where the absorption refrigerator originally connected were on the inverter. When you flip to shore or generator the inverter bypasses. Per the brochure on the OP's coach, the factory inverter was a 2000 watt with (4) 6 volt batteries. Now the real question's, the refrigerator selected will it run on the factory inverter assuming its an MSW? Was the inverter swapped out for a PSW?
  18. I believe that was the point of his question, it certainly was my DW’s thoughts. Her perspective, those closer parking spots at a grocery store or shopping area won’t accommodate an RV, maybe a Type B but we saw them on a 45’ DP. The cars, I can completely understand! The RV, I guess there are reasons as mentioned above we apparently never thought of. Thats a nice set up you have!!
