Don, I’ve run both on 30 amp many times. As long as that’s the only thing on. Water heater on propane or Diesel only (depending on what you have) and refrigerator on propane (if residential, not an issue, doesn’t draw enough).

F53 compressor is under the engine. I am guessing you spilled some down the fill tube and it channeled down or the front cover is leaking. That engine is not known for oil leaks. I think I’d clean it up and see if it reappeared.

Hankook and Sumitomo (last company I worked for) BFG, Michelin and Yokohama now. To be completely honest, there is ZERO ride difference and so far no difference in mileage before replacing worth discussing. We get a lot of Michelin excessive vibration at specific speeds which causes us to replace them prematurely. Very frustrating when you spend that much on a virgin steer tire.

There was an EF1 with winds from 86 to 110 MPH that hit a campground we go to in VA on the water a few years back. Tossed the trailers around like toys that were in its path, all of the motorhomes looked unharmed in its path, unless something fell onto them. One trailer was standing straight up a tree, the only thing holding it was the 50 amp cord, which remained connected. We had reservations for the following weekend. The foot print of the wheels is wider than the jacks. In a mild storm I would leave them down.

YUP, that's about all I would be concerned with in a Motorhome. In that situation I would consider bringing the slides in to keep the toppers protected.

After being in the trucking industry (service dept) and having a career working on Fire Apparatus, my only option would be Spartan. Freighliner has wiring and poor engineering problems on all of their products. In my experience Freighliner under engineers and Spartan over engineers.

I replaced both of the ones on our coach and kept the other side (male fitting) just in case we need a tow. I do recommend putting a rubber or plastic cap over these open fittings. Not a common problem with a Spartan but...Check the electrical plug at the rear of the coach where the chassis wiring ties into the coach wiring for the rear lighting. Freightliner didn't use a weather tight, sealed plug on most of their chassis (everyone I have ever seen). Given the age of your coach, the seal in that connector could have failed by now and it could be corroded. As Rich Mentioned above, start with checking power and ground at the sockets,, follow the wiring forward.

If I had one I’d probably use it like Puff. At home, took it out to replace it, though...hmm a wine chiller in that spot would get more use...wine chiller it is. Now I’m the dish washer. When I was a mechanic it felt good on my hands.

The 295/75 has a lighter load range thus a lighter weight rating. I went through something similar, here’s the post and I would seek a different brand in the correct size. Ours handled poorly with them on the drive axle also. I didn’t realize it until I swapped them out two years after this post.

What did you call them for? So far...I have had good luck with them on our coach. The three times I called I got an old Monaco employee that knew more in their head than they had on paper for support.

Got to love an Airstream! I had a 98 Surburban 2500 LT with the 454, 4x4, Great SUV, I loved it! Wasn’t bad on gas like most would think. 19 highway from Florida to PA with the cruise set at 85, that truck was a beast.

Seals and gaskets on a modern engine/chassis are not an issue like they once were when they sit. Rope seals and cork haven’t been used in quite a while and the rubber type seals are much better now. The biggest concern is the fuel getting skunked, be it diesel or unleaded. As Kay mentioned unleaded is terrible if no fuel treatment was added. Diesel is hit or miss, if it is a bio blend without treatment it’s probably going to cause you some grief. Just the corrosive properties in ULSD can be a problem also.
