Probably the reason

I put it back into gear, just in case someone thinks it would be ok to unhitch it and push it away. If they gain access to the interior the parking brake being set is obvious with that being said most thieves are dumb, to shift the transfer case into neutral so it rolls wouldn't cross their minds. The alarm only has to wake us up, and it will, DW sleeps with one eye open .

I am more concerned with my tow bar walking away at a CG or parking for the night then I am the Toad. When we park for the night I set the parking brake on the toad, shift the transfer case back into 2wd, lock it up and it has a factory alarm and its equipped with a hard top. I figured if you tampered with the toad the alarm would wake us. While we are disconnecting the toad at a CG the coach is idling down (cooling) so I don't want to pull the keys to disconnect, if I keep them separate I know I will loose them .

Dave, to put it into perspective, our coach is a 2002, its winterized and parked at home. I have been in and out of it doing some minor work, the rear has only dropped 1-2 inches from November to January. I started it up and ran it on a 20+ mile road-test in the end of January after completing some engine TLC. While the dash air gauges are back at 10 PSI now the air suspension is still holding the proper ride height and that was 2-3 weeks ago. (and yes the HWH Air leveling system is not turned on ). I would seek out a place to make the proper repairs under warranty, if that doesn't work out then concur it yourself.

Our last coach had one 12v AGM house battery. We dry camped for a weekend here or there and never had a problem, running the furnace also. The interior lighting was mostly LED by then but still did good. I ran the generator in the AM making breakfast for an hour then again around 7PM for an hour.

Beautiful coach!

Tow bar to Toad, Pins, no locks. I have considered it but never moved on the purchase. I keep a spare set in the basement. Every stop I walk around and look, push/pull inspect hoses and light cable. The hitch riser on the coach and the tow bar to the coach has locks, those are keyed the same and the key is on the coach key ring.

I agree with Ernie!! I left the outside cover in place, I attached screen on the inside with Silicone and spray foamed over that. The refrigerator we selected, ironically is completely serviceable from that outside cover. Sometimes you win...sometimes you lose.

Carl, good point, you can clean the Toad also if on the road for awhile with a portable.

Im curious what part of that is actually leaking. The white colored collars are equipped with the O-rings I mentioned before, from experience they deteriorate and leak. It could really be just that simple or the valve is leaking.....

Here is where I bought ours; http://www.getyourkicksrv.com/products/bras_detailing/bras_detailing.htm

I gave ours to my neighbor, he make scrap yard runs often. Threw the doors in the trash. Thought about shooting it a few times, figured that wouldn't go over well with the other neighbors.

I spend too much on this coach as is....

Bill, you have them on your coach?

Herman, when I replaced the 5HP motor on our golf cart with an 11HP electric, I had to replace all of the cables with Welding cable. I like Kay's idea, give yourself some slack on the new ones.

We have been to many places that have low water pressure, when I encounter this I fill the fresh tank and leave the city water connected. When someone is showering I flip the pump switch to ON for more pressure, works every time!
-
Herman, I go through the same with ours when I slide the battery tray's out. To answer your question, I would replace with the same and here is why (picture below). The rope represents the battery cable, smaller cable the greater of a chance to create resistance. If it was built that way it was for a reason. Those large cables are expensive, if they were not needed you can bet Monaco wouldn't have used them.

Our coach came with a Dirt Devil installed from the factory. I used it once and put the attachments in the house and forgot about it. I sounded like a great idea and here is what I didn't like. The hose, dragging it around the interior, it was scratching the wood, it gets caught on stuff and I wasn't impressed with the suction. Empting and replacing the bags are messy and can get expensive vs. the modern bag less vacuums. My wife went shopping on Black Friday a few years ago and bought a Dyson portable, picked it up for less than 1/2 price. I mounted the charger in the coach next to an outlet and it resides in there. To finish the removal of the central system is on my list of things to do this year. Ours is inside under the refrigerator in its own compartment, I can use that space for other stuff once its gone.

What is the "gear" in question made of?

Keon, as Herman stated, some people will outline their campsite for a few reasons, one of which I know only works 10% of the time . 1, to keep rodents away, I have no idea if this is true or not. 2, to define your personal space that you have rented so peopled don't trample through your site and break your stuff. This is the one that only works 10% of the time. I have found "Crime Scene" tape works the best . Campground didn't like it but it kept the people's kids out of our site that don't know how to teach them respect these days. I told the CG if you enforce your rules you wont even know I'm here, they got the hint.

Watch out for the frozen ice cream you can keep now. A wise man once said "be careful, the weight you removed from the refrigerator might relocate to the drivers seat" . Thanks Herman....I still laugh about that!

Blake, congratulation's with your upgrade! Your wife will ask you repeatability the first year why this wasn't done before, mine did, 3 years later still comments on how much she loves it. Between the Residential refrigerator in this coach and the Tank less HW heater in the last one, those were the two best upgrades we could have ever done to either coach.
