  1. Herman and Brett, you are absolutely correct. I had a customer come into my shop and told me that the tanks were empty and my tech found out the hard way they were not!
  2. Side cameras have a use. They are positioned at the front and show the blind area under the mirror. They only come on when the turn signal is on.
  3. I use See Level external sensors. Not 100 % but close.
  4. Look in the Rand Mcnally Wal Mart edition and it list all the WM and Sams clubs.
  5. You might try filling the bowl almost full of water before the initial flush. I have a built in rinse system that has a jet that is aimed at the trouble area of my tank, the spot directly under the toilet. When you are not moving for days or weeks the mountain that builds up is difficult to move, my jet spray is directed to that spot.
  6. We have been using an induction cook top in the motorhome for the last six years and even have a Samsung induction range at home. Having LP is another power source which is still a nice option.
  7. I have looked into having a dash cam and saw a number of them from various manufacturers at the AAPEX/SEMA show in Las Vegas last week. I looked at Fry's Electronics at the retail level and they start at around $100. I think there is a market for them but I think your price point is high.
  8. If a spark is present it makes no difference if it is pos or neg it will cause the gas to explode.
  9. I'm surprised that this type of switch is still on the market. These switches are dangerous because they can have an open spark and if there are any charge gasses present it could explode the top of the battery and spray acid all over. That is why when you use jumper cables the last connection should be the negative cable and attached to the frame a distance from the battery. It should be the first cable to be disconnected. I have witnessed too many battery explosions.
  10. You should have asked me at Redmond!! Just as BA said just loosen the four bolts and rotate the valve assy to the desired angle and tighten the bolts.
  11. I think it depends on the state. In Az glass coverage is mandatory I think with no deductible. I had new windshields installed some $2800 with no deductible. I have been with several different insurance companies and none has ever had a deductible for glass in the 45 years that I have lived here.
  12. I prefer air brakes that I have on my tow dolly because if I go down a long hill I don't burn up the dolly brakes, I use the exhaust brake and very little service brake.
  13. I always travel with a full tank and I dump it every few weeks if I'm at a campground and refill so as to have fresh water.
  14. Make sure you minivan is not all wheel drive. If it is you will need a trailer not a tow dolly.
  15. You need a electric brake controller to vary the amount of brake being applied.
  16. When we were an Onan dealer we always used 30 w Valvoline.
  17. Mine leaked at the drain fitting where it seals to the pan.
  18. Diesel is $3.19 in Casa Grande Az.
  19. Roughly 40 degrees cooler.
  20. I have a 900 series Norcold and it does not have a 12 volt mode. It needs 12 volt to run on LP or 120 volt.
  21. Thanks for the explaination. When I got home 2 weeks ago and drove my 2 cars out of the garage both factory tire indicators came on. When I checked all 8 tires they were all exactly 6 lbs low. When I had filled them in April with close to 100 degrees they were at 36 lbs. I found it odd that they all were still equal. The cars are 07 and 08 Prius with the same size tires.
  22. The chassis mfg all say don't drill or weld to their frames. I usually find an existing hole and bracket from there.
  23. Hey tireman, I meant to ask you this question when I saw you in Redmond. If I fill my tires first thing in the morning to the correct pressure, what happens when I get to colder climate. We sometimes wake up to 95 plus degrees and if I set my pressures and then go to the Oregon coast where its 38 degrees I am off somewhat. Thanks, Bruce Chong
  24. From Redmond to Morgan Hill Ca on b15 I got 10.43 mpg. About the same as with pure diesel.
