Yes, when the transient voltage suppressor (huge diode that gets very hot during operation) fails many components are/can be affected. Mine failed July 2020, causing the fuel distributor module on the main pump to fail. The final bill was $5K+ and it took Cummins Great Plains 2 weeks to obtain a new fuel distributor module, when it normally was received overnight. I was quoted $10K for a rebuilt main pump instead of only replacing the distributor module.

Original MH florescent lights are 12V, and they are available for purchase; HOWEVER, the actual bulbs don't care about whether they are operating on 120VAC or 12VDC. I have 8 120VAC LED replacement bulbs from WalMart operating in my MH now. I've never seen 120VAC OEM lighting in an RV, it's all been 12VDC. Otherwise extended dry camping would be a pain in the keester. On a side note, many 120VAC televisions have a converter inside because it operates on 12V. I know of at least one person who has rewired a new TV to put in his RV to run on 12VDC by bypassing the built-in converter.

I have my dash camera at the bottom of the glass in front of me for easier access and it's closer to a cigar plug. It displays everything in front of me, from ~6' to 600' on flat ground.
