  1. CW, Glad to hear you will be coming to Indy. First, NO you will not be able to run more that 1 A/C at a time on 30 amp power. To be able to run all 3 you would defiantly need 50 amp service. Now they have 2 other area you may consider. First there is the 6:00 to 11:00 Area. Here you may run your generator from 6 AM til 11 PM. There is another area, Full Generator, where you may run your generator 24 hours. What some folks will do on 30 amp power is run one A/C, say the front during the day and evening and turn it off and run the Bed Room A/C during the night. Either of these area would strictly your choose. Since this will be your first National Convention please except some strong advise. Spent the night before arriving at the Fairgrounds, in an RV Park. This way you will be able to dump both your Black and Gray tanks and Fill your water Tanks. Coming in with empty holding tanks and a full water tank is imperative that you do this. They will have Honey Wagons available as well as Water Trucks. There is a charge for both, you may inquire about both at the Information Booth at the Convention. Upon arrival be patient it sometimes take time to get you to your parking area, but I can guarantee it will be worth the wait. Hope to see you there. Keep looking here since I will be posting the Day,Time and Seminar Room for an Introduction to the FMCA Forum with a Meet and Greet of Forum folks. Herman
  2. Joe have you noticed the looks you get from the truckers when you do this. I have had them come up and ask what and why. Then their response is 'Oh'. The one thing I noticed is after I fill and check my Trip Tech will shows 124 Gallons in the tank. It will stay at 124 for about a 100 miles. Herman
  3. Having made the mistake of flushing with the vent fan still on 😯 , a bit of a pleasant fragrance is better than the alternative. 😦 Herman
  4. I can tell everyone were the leak came from but not until presented with a Supoena by the special Prosecutor to testify before the Senate committee. Til then I will remain silent. 😐 Herman
  5. Again, I am sorry but you have to call FMCA (513-474-3622) and speak to Noah. I am not a computer, i phone, Android Geek. I do get unlimited Data that works very well for us when home. We live in the country in an all metal home. Until I got the MiFi I had to put my phone (Hot Spot) in the window to get at least 2 bars. Now with the MiFi we can go to any RV park and be on line no matter what kind if WiFi they have if they have WiFi at all. It is as simple as one two three. 1) Call Noah at FMCA, 2) ask your questions and 3) make your decision. Sorry to be so blunt, but all you have to do is make a call and get all your questions answered. Herman
  6. At present time I am using the MiFi. As I said, call for Noah at FMCA. The program is very new. If you are too sceptical, than don't make the call. As everything in life, "It's your choice ". Herman
  7. Jim, sounds like Government Math to me. Herman
  8. I have two tanks, Holding (Black) and Gray Water. I may drain my Gray more then two times before I dump the Holding. I always try to have water in the Gray to flush the hose after dumping the Holding. I also have a built in flush connection but do not use it until I return home. Since we will be dumping every third day while on the road. When we return home I will flush several times till the water shows clear in the drain elbow. I will then put 3 or 4 gallons of water in the Holding tank add a deodorant pack in and store the coach till the next trip.
  9. Kay, We run our Samsung RF-18 residential on our 2000 watt inverter (MSW) all the time and have never had a problem using our 850 watt Sharpe Convection/Micro Wave at the same time. Herman
  10. Mike, Mill Creek is a fairly nice Park. But you better check the pricing. The last time I heard it was in the neighborhood of $65.00/night. As Jim said August in Canton is VERY HOT. It is not a place that you can see in only one weekend. There are RV sites on the grounds. I might suggest checking with Canton Civic Center for availability. Herman
  11. Tom, Sorry for your illness. Glad you are back and will be able to come to Indy. Safe travels. Herman
  12. Jeff & Joe, You both are correct in the fact that announcing Rally dates way out there would be ideal. However in the real world it isn't as simple as just calling and making reservations. The Ex. Board and Staff have so much to take into consideration in finding a location that can accommodate every thing needed. It would be simple to just say every March we will be going to Perry and every July we will be going to Gillette. But it is still the goal to have a Rally that will attract members to go to something new. I always leave the months of March and July open for FMCA Rallies. I also keep Mid September to early October open for Six-State. That's just me. Unfortunately we live in the real world and have to, as Clint Eastwood said, "Adjust, Adapt and Overcome". Now I will turn the Soap Box over to someone else. Thanks for listening. Herman
  13. Am I missing something. I thought it was found to be a faulty sensor and that the toiler was not mysteriously filling by itself. However that's a nice diagram. Herman
  14. That's what happens when WB hires ex NASCAR pit crew people to work on the assembly line. Herman
  15. Speaking of the outside faucet, the DW was cleaning in the coach. It was in the garage. She turned on the pump for some water and heard water running. The outside faucet latterly BLEW the hot side valve apart. Dadgum plastic. Thank goodness for the manifold. Just shut off the hot and cold valves and continued to get ready for the rally. Herman
  16. Clay, Welcome to the forum, I only have one thing to add. Herman
  17. Tom, Are you and Louise still in Edinbury? If so are you in the coach and hooked up to the parks water? Since you said it appears to be a pressure issue have you tried using the coach's pump when showering? Maybe there might be enough pressure between the two to activate the water heater. The last pump I installed has a pressure of 55 lbs. Just a thought. Hope to see you'll down the road. Herman
  18. Thanks Kay, I wasn't going to state the obvious. 😅 Herman
  19. Each Rally is different. Cost of both dumps and water will vary quite a bit. In Chandler as a Volunteer we got 1 free dump. As for water we ran over 800 feet of hose from the one hydrant and were able to get every one a load of water. I would like to "THANK" the fellows that maned the hoses to service each coach. It took quite a while but they got it done. THANKS FOR A JOB WELL DONE! Herman
  20. Bill, Wolf Creek might be 4 lanes wide but it is not for the faint at heart. Been through there in a 32 footer towing a Jeep and a 40 footer towing a Yukon. At no time was there any chance to look at the scenery. But Bobbie got to tell me all about it. Herman
  21. Robert, Sound to me like one end of the fabric has slipped. Herman
  22. Bigeasy, Welcome to the Forum. I have drawer latches that also brake on my coach. Brown plastic with one part a snap over latch with a hook type catch. the catch part brakes from time to time. You can purchase replacements for them at most RV shops. The kits come with both catch and latch. However I found that the cause for the breakage is due to the fact that the screw is just a tad larger then the slot. This put a continuing pressure on the plastic slot. I have repaired several by using super glue to glue the pieces together the when I remount the catch I put a flat washer on the screw which covers the complete slot eliminating the breakage. It worked so well that I just went ahead and put washers on all mine before they broke. Haven't one break since doing this. Herman
  23. Things that can help cool you and your coach when parked. Put foil screen over the windshield. They make shields to fit or it can be purchased at a home improvement store. DO NOT cover side duel pane windows with any reflective material. The reflecting heat will cause the air between the panes to expand and break the seals. There are window shades that are complete black out shades. They will help reduce any sun light from entering the coach. One that comes to mind is MCD Innovations in McKinney Texas but there are several others that also make very good shades. When driving and you don't already have your generator on and the roof airs on, do so when about an hour before you plan on parking for the night. It will give your system a chance to begin the cool down before you hook up. If all else fails to cool you down enough, take a cold shower, do not dry off, step out and then stand under a A/C vent. May not work but the DW will get a big laugh out of it and forget about being hot. Herman
