Donna, Welcome to the Forum. Do you have time before you need to be in AZ? If so coming across on I-10 you will have the sites of Mobile & New Orleans, NASA in Houston, Ft. Davis and the McDonald's Observatory, El Paso, Tucson, Phenoix and Lake Havasu. Going up from there you have the Grand Canyon, Moab, The painted Desert, Jackson Hole Wyoming, Yellowstone, Cody Wyoming (great museum), Devils Tower, Mount Rushmore, Sturgis South Dakota, just to name a fee. Have a great trip. There is so much to see you may have to save some of then till the next y time. Herman

Can't imagine being in a plane that is on fire. If a motor home is on fire at 60 MPH it doesn't take much to stop and get out. Not to easy to pull over and get out of a plane at 5,000 feet. I have jumped from a plane, but it was by desire not necessity. Herman

Ray, You might want to look at the weather report for the Dallas/Ft. Worth area for the next few days. It isn't going to be pretty. Very cold with possible snow and freezing conditions. After Monday it looks to get much better and be in the mid to upper 50's. Unlike the Pac/Northwest our road crews don't have the experience yours do. Ray, I just went back and read your original post on your trip East December 10, 2013.Since then there have been 107, now 108 post to your story. On that trip it became obvious that without bad luck on that trip you wouldn't have had any luck at all. Glad you and Hanna are back on the road and heading East again. Blake, floor looks great. I noticed your furnace is under you refrigerator. This is only a problem in finding a unit to fit. I was fortunate that I only had drawers under ours and was able to install it at floor level. Good luck and let us know how the swap out goes. Herman

gatorbits, Welcome to the Forum. Since your coach is under warranty you should go to your dealer and tell him that changing part numbers is not your problem. They must repair the coach to the condition they sold it in. Be nice but also put your request in writing, dated and have your dealer sign and date your copy. This is in case Winnebago trys to put it off til after the warranty expires. This a CMS situation. Herman

glsponchos, Like Bill said, never heard of this company. Even under Obamacare your Medicare and supplemental coverage is good nation wide. Now when out of the US there may be some difficulties to coverage by some companies. If I remember correctly when traveling abroad you should always contact you insurance company and ask if you are covered when abroad. and if not do they have a rider to maintain coverage when abroad. Wayne, How are those two Fam Camps? We are looking at staying at both on the way to Chandler. Though I am not retired military the couple we will be traveling with,he, is. If you are ever in GA. the Fam Camp at Ft. Benning is a beautiful camp Uchee Fam Camp. Another nice place to stop if going through Oklahoma is in Shawnee, the Heart of Oklahoma Expo Center. By the way cc, if you use the potato it might not hurt to throw that potato away afterwords. Another idea. Go to your local hardware store and see if you can get a small cork. A small tapered one that will fit into the broken bulbs socket. I think you should be able to find one made of rubber. Herman

Bill, Thinking of doing the same to mine this year. I would like to have them sand blasted then primed, powder coated and then having the tubs insides rhyno lined. there seems to be enough room, but will check before. Herman

You can remove a broken light bulb with a potato. All you have to do is shove the potato into the bulb and turn it counter clock wise. You might try cutting a potato down and shoving it into the bulb. You might also try, with the power off, putting the end of a screw driver in the bulb and give it a couple of taps with a small hammer and then see if it might turn. the potato will only work if the bulb will turn and isn't stuck. If neither of these work, give the DW a head mounted flash light to wear when when cooking. Might work of at least one half of a second before she tell you where to go. But that wont be an issue, there are enough of us here that know the way by heart. Herman

Lee, Welcome to the Forum. Have you checked with the tow bar manufacturers to see if they make base plates for the 2017 Acadia? I would check with Roadmaster first. Since you already have their bar it would be an easy hook up. Roadmaster, Blue Ox and Remco, to mention a few, make adapters that will mate one tow bar to another type of base plates. A 60 watt incandescent light bulb in a drop light in the water bay work quite well. Just make sure that it hangs without touching anything. Keep warm, Herman

Ken, As said, Welcome. My suggestion would be to call Aqua Hot and ask for the contact information for John Corona (not sure if this is how John spells his last name) or Lloyd De Gerald. These two men are the absolute best Service technicians in the country for Aqua Hot. One or both will be in Chandler and both will be doing service there. Aqua Hot doesn't have any techs at the factory, they rely on their service techs. John is in Colorado and Lloyd is in Arkansas. Good Luck, Herman
