Although we are not on the list, we have several friends that have stayed at our place. I have a 50 amp plug and a sewer dump right next to the drive. I haven't run a water line yet but plan on it some time in the future. I would also like to thank every one for the cards and letter. The SAW is recuperating nicely. In a month or so with continued therapy it should be almost as good a new. To help lift it's spirits I gave it a new blade and it made a world of difference. Herman

Have to agree on part of your statement Joe. "Very simple unit." Replacing the components was no big deal however getting the unit out and back in wasn't easy. Trying to loosen the nuts was difficult. I am going to contact Thetford and find out if there is and adjustment for the water level. Herman

I have been told that the cover material for electrical wire products, among other things, has Soy Bean by products in them making them a draw for rodents. I don't know this to be a fact but it makes since to me. One thing there is always a problem for RV'ers are ants. I found and tried a bottle of dog/cat Flea and Tick spray. I spray it on my sewer hose, water hose and power cord when we park. It has worked for us so far. However we did have a sever problems with ants in Shreveport. For some reason when ever one of our coach's mud flag touched the ground you could see a trail of ants climbing into the coach. Herman

kay, I would have agreed with your statement in the past, however now so many of the really run down trailer parks have begun using "Resort" in their names to attract new customers. As we all know RV Parks Review is a good place to start searching for a RV Park but I only consider those with current reviews and websites. The DW and I have found several nice small mom & pop parks off our GPS. I will go to Lodging then to RV parks. We have found some really nice ones and have also found some real duzzies. There is nothing wrong with asking to see your site before paying for it only to find out it is totally unacceptable. As for smoldering campfires, having started out as a Cub Scout in the early 40es all the way as Scout Master for my 3 sons, You never leave a fire unattended. Either watch, use and enjoy it or extinguish it. Sorry, the DW just cleaned my Soap Box and wants me to use it.

Priestlake, If you have a Rand McNally Atlas, look in the index. There is a page "State by State Auto Rules". It tells you Speed Limits, Insurance requirements, Trailer Brakes Requirements (and Yes your tow vehicle is considered a trailer) even down to Flare requirements. A few extra bucks spent to be in compliance with the law is worth a lot more then being told after an accident, "sorry your claim is denied due to the fact you were on the road with a non-compliant vehicle" So please be safe and legal rather than sorry. Correct, unless the tires have direction arrows I always ask that the date codes be mounted to the outside.

F451959, Yourd date code will be four digits. Example 0116 which means the tires were manufactured the first week of 2016. As for a spare, I just replaced three tires. I kept the best one and put it in my storage bay slide. We are going on a 7 week trip and in these temperatures I am not taking any chances. Herman

1 large gentleman, As to what has been said so for it seems that Lazy Days is not concerned with your problems. Get all the people you have spoken to at LD and their responses. Take your notes and your coach to the Factory. Not one of their service centers, but to the factory. Present your greviounces to the highest person you can fiend. They need to know how you have been treated by one of their so called Premium Dealers. You should be calm and not threatening. Let them know all you want is your coach fixed so you can enjoy it for a long time. I always like to talk face to face with someone rather than a blunt non emotional email. Bill, Welcome to the Forum. A few years back I saw a rack for cars to carry a John Boat on top of a car. What I remember was that it was mounted in the receiver hitch. It had a fixture that you connected the stern of the boat to the fixture. you then lifted the bow up and it folded over the top of the vehicle and on to a post mount on the front of the vehicle. The boat was secured to the rear on the fixture and to the post in the front. The boat was upside down and would not collect water in case of rain. You might try looking at Cabela's or Bass Pro's. Not to worry Bill. The air line on your coach doesn't know what kind of braking system it is supplying air to. Therefore you will be alright. The only difference might be the fittings where the air line connect to the tow vehicle. That should be no problem, If different, just change the fitting on the hose to match the Air Force 1. Herman

Greg, First go on the tire program. There it will instruct you what to do. Know the size tires you need. Call Michelin and register your credit card. It will be on file for 30 days. After that you will have to re-register. Check their list for participating dealers in your area. Call FMCA to get you cost. Its all in the Michelin Tire Program site. Welcome to the Forum. If you have a metal supply dealer in your ares, check with them. They have metal building contractors that purchase material and they might recommend one or more that can build a structure for you. Herman

Nighthawk, The aluminum wrap is a good reflector for the hot sum. However let me caution you using it on your side windows. If you have double pane Windows it can cause the gas between the pained to expand and cause the seals to rupture and you may end up with fogged windows. Herman

As in most everything manufactured the mechanical and electrical engineers do a great job. Then along comes a design engineer and messes up the whole thing. On our coach as well as Tom & Louise's, there 5 electrical areas. 1 on the drivers side in front, 2 more in the bedroom in a cabinet and 2 in the engine compartment. We had the coach for 9 years and I still find things. Oh well what else do we have to do on these cold summer days in Texas. Carl, I have seen duct work that was made of a card board type of material with foil insulation on the inside. I know it is light weight and the insulation might be peeling off on the inside. Herman

drewmark, Welcome to the Forum. As Carl said, why not . If you are sure there are no covenants and or deed restrictions you should be good to go. You may have to move to a dump every week or so if you don't have sewer or water on your property. As Carl asked where is your property located. In or out of the city limits? If within a city limits they may have some restrictions but then there should be Water and Electric available. Just remember it is one thing to dry camp for a short time but it is another to dry camp for an extended period of time. Good luck and I hope your gig is not too long so you can get back on the road.
