  1. Ellen, Go to FMCA home page and pull up Towing Guide. There should be a guide with state by STA list of speed, length and so on that will give you the answer. Herman
  2. It was as you said, nice to put faces to friends we already know. Thank goodness I have really big shoulders. Herman
  3. Carl, Wait till you get back to Gladewater and go to Athens and let them do it at the plant. Marty and them will have their pit for the under coach hook ups. See you tonight. Herman
  4. Barkley, Where are you parked? I will come over and say Howdy. I have had brief visits with both Carl and Brett [working right now]. Herman
  5. Yes, you may purchase WD-40 in Bulk [55 Gallon Drums]. You have to get it from an Industrial Supply House. We used it in spray bottles to clean equipment since when it dries it does not attract dust and dirt. Herman
  6. RL, Good information. Will you be in Perry? Lots of us would like to meet and visit with you. Carl, Brett, Jeff and my self are already here. Parked a lady the other day, she was taking the Driving Class, that recognized my name. She said they were hoping to come to the Meet and Great on Thursday. Herman
  7. Bill, Sounds like a bargain to me. What Brand are they? Are they the best, maybe not but I always go with Interstate. My reason is that no matter where I go there is an Interstate dealer close by. Sorry you wont be in Perry. Herman
  8. Firmshard, Welcome to the Forum. To me it looks like either a Champion circa 75 or so, or maybe a Winnebago Chief of the same era. Like the others to me it would not be prudent to put money into it, however if that is your cup of tea, go for it. Herman
  9. scole456, Welcome to the Forum. There should be a trap door in the bottom of the unit. There is where you will find the oil filter and should be able to see the fuel filter. On some units you may have to remove a side panel. Check which side the fuel line comes into the unit, that should be the side the filter is on. Herman
  10. kranky, Welcome to the Forum. You have a nice looking unit. A safe speed on the Hwy. is one that is comfortable for you, the old lady should be ok keeping up. Give her some fresh blood, change the oil and all the filters. Lube all fittings until lots of grease comes out of each location, will make it like your changing the grease. Change all belts. Inspect the tires and check the age Check the age. If over 7 years be prepared to replace them. Have the coolant checked. Also it might be a good Idea to have the transmission serviced. At 29 years, she has still has a lot to give. Be happy to show her off. Herman
  11. Have you pushed the Test Button on the buzzing GFI?. If the Buzzing stops replace it. Herman
  12. Steve, Yes you may come to the rally in Perry for the day. You may purchase a day pass at registration. Please don't hold me to it but I believe it is $5 or 7.00 per person. Herman
  13. Carl and Joe, By water dust protect is I presume you are asking about the air connect. M & G will give you a 90 degree spark plug cap to go over the inlet. This will allow the unit to let air in and out when not hooked to the coach. If the air connection is capped the brake on the vehicle you will either have no brakes or it might lock your brakes. So If you are planning on doing some mudding it would be prudent to make an extension line/hose to raise it up like the jeeps had for their air intakes. Lloyd is a nice fellow. Can be a bit grouchy at times but aren't we all. Herman
  14. bfowler, Welcome to the Forum. If you could provide a bit more information. Coach, model year, and more description of what is going on. Did it just happen or was is a gradual change? Let us know and I hope we can help. Herman
  15. Yes Al, South Central Area [aka Six-State Rally Association] will hold our Rally in Shawnee, OK on September 11 to 14th, 2016. Registration will begin around the 1st of May. We would love to have you'll attend. Herman
  16. Some times an area may have a "Burn Ban" in effect. I have seen it so bad that in Oklahoma they even banned the sale of charcoal. a case such as that is the only time I can see where you might have a problem. Now if your neighbor in the next camp site has all his windows open with his suction fan on, that might be another story. As for a carrier, you might look into one of those Power Chairs carriers that fit into your receiver hitch. You would most likely have to modify it some. Herman
  17. Kay, Will you be in Perry? Herman
  18. Ron, Sorry if I misunderstood your post. I have Rhino hoses with two extensions. The first extension had the twist or screw on connecting sleeve that two ends screw together. The other has both male and female connectors which have "O"rings and just 1/4 turn to connect. That was what I thought you have. If what you have is the sleeve where each end screws in the sleeve then you may not be securing [screwing] them together enough. If the leaking continues might I suggest Depends. Herman
  19. Al, I am Southern Region VP for South Central. Our rally this year is at Heartland of Oklahoma Expo. Center, April 11 to 15. At this point I'm not sure if any of the Brake Mfg. will be there. Blue Ox comes most years. M & G come some times. Sorry I can't speak for any of the other Area. Since you are unable to attend Perry try to make plans for West Springfield, Mass. It will be in late July and early August. Herman
  20. Ron, Have you checked each end for the "O" rings. They may have picked up some debris. If they look OK try pulling each and turning it over and reinstall it. Herman
  21. HOW is an FMCA Chapter, the Happy Oklahoma Wanders. They are a 40 year old chapter where most of their members live in either OK City or Tulsa areas. Next month, April 21st to 23rd, they will be celebrating their 40th Anniversary at the Choctaw KOA in Durant. If you would like send me your info. in a PM and I will make sure you get the information. Herman
  22. AIR, There is, It is the FMCA National Rally going on in Perry GA. next week. There will be vendors for most every type of Auxiliary Brake Made. Its not too late to come, that is if you aren't already on your way. Herman
  23. Brett, Carl will most likely come soaking wet. He is just leaving Texas. Herman
