  1. Kevin & Deb, Kay and Sue, Welcome all to FMCA. You are both correct, FMCA is a great group of folks. If you haven't done so yet, look up a chapter in your area and go to a Rally. You again will meet a lot of new friends. Herman Mullins President of Lone Star Chapter
  2. Welcome to the Forum. Sam is on the right track. If your jacks are HWH they do take Transmission fluid. My manual said to lower one jack about 3 inches and add fluid until the warning alarm goes off. Worked on our last coach when the fluid was low. Herman
  3. Mike, knowing some of the folks on the Forum, I would not open myself up by asking them where to go. They may tell you. If you get a chance go to Thermopilis and the hot springs. Cody is good also. Looking forward to seeing you in Gillette. Herman
  4. Larry, I understand your thinking. However I would only use a lubricant for protection if I were going to be parked for a long period of time. When you were ready to move I would be sure to wipe the piston with WD 40 to clean and remove the dirt before raising the Jacks. Under normal travel your jack pistons will be up and covered with the fluid. Herman
  5. WD 40 drys and doesn't leave a film to attract dirt like silicone would do. Herman
  6. rawylie, As Brett said, Welcome to the Forum. I live in the DFW area, and if I may help you send me a Personnal Message. Herman
  7. Chambo1, Welcome to the Forum. The likely reason WalMart will not allow you to park there is there is a city ordinance against it and not them. Other places would would fall under the same rule. Check out http://rvparkreview.com. You may find a location closer. Good Luck, Herman
  8. Rick Welcome to the Forum. Downstream is a new casino and has two locations to park. Both are close to the casino but I don't know about rig size. A little ways off the Interstate in Grove, OK there are two nice parks. Ceder Oaks can handle long rigs and you can get a site over looking Grand Lake. Also there is a park called Bears Den. They also can handle long rigs however we have not stayed there. We have stayed a Ceder Oaks many times, Great folks. Herman
  9. A word of caution to everyone. Safe or no safe. If you have a fire in your coach, There is nothing worth more then your life. Everything else can be replaced. Get out, call for help, but be safe. Herman
  10. Try extending the jack all the way with the weight of the coach on it. Measure the height for a reference. Go back after several hours and remeasure at the same point. If your coach has settled any, look for signs of fluid. If there are signs of fluid you have a leak. If not then you have a leaking check valve in your system and the fluid is leaking back into the reservoir. Herman
  11. I have to agree with Brett. Any time you trip a breaker the moment you plug in the unit you have a direct short. Follow your lead back to the unit you may find a bare wire. Look for a burnt spot on metal where the wire may have come in contact. Good luck. Herman
  12. David, Welcome to the Forum. Give Paul Davis a look. His company is Mr Olivers. Check out his web site: http://mrolivers.com/ He has quite a few coaches to view. Also check out Motor Homes of Texas: http://motorhomesoftexas.com. David has some really nice coaches. Your will have a hard time finding two better dealers. Paul or David. Herman
  13. Dboy, If when you are connected to CG water and your Fresh Water tank is filling up even though you have the valve in the correct position you have a bad reverse flow check valve bad in your pump. It is a very inexpensive part and easy to replace.
  14. For a nice scenic drive go up 69 to I-40 East to I-540. Take I-540 North out of Alma (just out of Ft. Smith). Go north through Fayetteville and Springdale. Its been a long time since I drove from Springdale to 65 on 412 but I remember it was a good road with a lot of small towns. Enjoy Arkansas and Branson
  15. DB, Welcome to the Forum. I may not understand your question. Do you mean that the Gray water is getting into the Holding Tank (Black Water)? My 02 Dynasty has two valves one large valve for the holding tank and a smaller valve for the gray water. They are connected by a "Y" fitting to the discharge connection. If you had a leaking valve you would have bad water come out when you remover the cap. You have two connections in the bay. One is for connecting to the city water and for filling your fresh water tank. the other is for flushing your holding tank. There are no connections from the fresh water to the holding tank. Just a silly question, did you by some chance connect your hose to the wrong connection and filled your holding tank with fresh water? It can happen, I know, no more needs to be said. Herman
  16. randy, One more thing. It is not a bad idea to carry a spare solenoid with you. Solenoids are just a magnatic unit, so while there is power to it it is active. Over a period of time they just give out, as you found out. A spare will almost surely guarentee that the solenoid in your coach will last for ever since you have a backup. Good luck and happy you got your problem solved. Herman
  17. Leonard and Sondra, Welcome to FMCA and the Forum. We are so happy that you chose Sedalia to begin your adventure. One of the Volunteer Chapters for Six-State this year are the Gateway Getaways. Their Chapter President is Keith Jerome, who is also the Northern Region Vice President of Six-State. They have a great chapter and Keith would be happy to visit with you and tell you all about everything. So when you are settled at your site look Keith up. If you need help I will be happy to assist you in any thing you need. Just look for the guy on the golf cart with the Orange Cowboy Hat, that would be me. Again welcome. Herman Mullins SRA Parking Captain President Lone Star Chapter.
  18. rim030150, Don't despair, all of us understand your dilemma. Your are very smart to document everything. In Texas we have the Lemon Law. I am not sure about other states. At present time with all of the turmoil with Mfgrs. even the factories have no clue what is going to happen with their company and/or job. This does not make for a good situation all around. We hope you get this resolved and can get back to what we all enjoy, Camping and working on our coaches. Good Luck and keep us informed on the outcome so we can all learn by your situation. Herman
  19. Medico, I said it once and I will say it again, "IT AIN'T GOING TO FIT". Nice Coach Herman
  20. Larry, Welcome to the Forum. There are all kinds of Rallies. Some go into the desert, park in a circle and build a camp fire in the middle. Then there are some that go to a high priced casino and park in style. Some go to different RV Parks and some go into pastures. For our chapter, Lone Star, we have 5 rallies each year and go to 5 different Parks. We charge a set fee that the Wagon Masters and their assistants will plan for 2 breakfast and 3 dinners. As for the South Central Rally each year, we go to locations where they can accommodate at least 600 coaches. Folks may register for 50 amp full hooks up, 30 amp full, Elec only, generator or dry camping. Like Bob, I would like to invite you to join Lone Star at one of our Rallies and South Central at our Rally in Sedalia MO. September 11-12-13-14, 2013. Go back and give the Midwest Rally another chance and then come further down to Sedalia and have fun with more great folks. 21. gmoreno, You can use your existing tail lights with no problem. You can go to Camping World or a store like CW and get a tail light wiring kit. The kit contains 4 diodes. Follow the directions and even if your battery is disconected you tail lights will still work. Herman
  22. Crazy, Since you paid for 50 amp service you may need an extension cable. A 50 amp extension. Sorry to say but they are not inexpensive. But on the bright side once you have bought one you will be set for a long time. Good luck and enjoy Gillette. Herman
  23. JustCruzzin, First Welcome to the Forum. Check with Wineguard. I looked up your unit and it said that it is compatiable with both Dish and Direct. There will be some dip switches that need to be set. Wineguard Tech can walk you throught the process. Good Luck, Herman
  24. Oscar, Go over to Port Aransas/Aransas Pass. You will need to take the Ferry but there are Parks there and a lot of beaches. Sorry about Rockport, lots of parks very little beach. Herman
  25. James, Contact American and they can give you the specs on your chassis and you can give them to Henderson. Good luck, Herman
