Uneven Tire Tread Wear on Tow Dolly
hermanmullins replied to akadeadeye's topic in Toads-Towed Behind Motorhome
Possible. But I feel that you have a balance or alignment problem. Try towing the dolly behind your car or truck and have some one follow you. Have them look for extreme bouncing or wandering. Bounce=balance. Wandering=alignment. You can check the bearing by lifting each side one at a time and spin the wheel and see if you can hear or feel any roughness. then put your hands at the top of the wheel and see if it is is loose. That would mean you have a bearing going out. -
Yes.

Does it seem to hesitate when you accelerate? If so you may have a bad accelerator pump in the Carb.

William, If not said before, Welcome to the Forum. You stated that when you start your engine, your transmission has fault codes. You also said that your tac was not working. I have had a similar thing happening in my coach. I would start the engine and nothing on the dash would work, but the engine still started. I turned the engine off and turned it back on and every thing worked. I have determined that I need to replace the ignition switch. Some times I have to turn it off and on several times to get every thing to come on. Just thought this may help.

Sanitizing Water And Holding Tank With Vinegar
hermanmullins replied to tiffinphaeton's topic in Water and Holding Tanks
In our area of the country we are having a severe drought. I have set up an older Surflo pump to pump the water from my tank and run it in the flower beds. My wife like it for her flowers and it speed up flushing to water from the 95 gallon tank. -
Dwight, Although you can blow air back through the fuel line going into the tank. Too much air pressure can damage the filter sock on the pick up tube or fuel pump. This can cause problems for either one of them.

Need A Site To Park For 6 Months In/Near Concordville, PA

Try www.rvparkreviews.com nice guide to check out a park. -
Second thought. If you can remove the heater core and a Radiator shop can not repair it, Take it to Napa or one of the auto Parts houses and they can match it from a catalog. Parts such as that were off the shelf auto parts the Mfg. used. I am not sure I know what an Electric Assist Brake Master Cylinder. Are your brakes Air or hydraulic? But here again part in hand at a parts house might help in finding the parts. (master cylinder repair kit?)

How Much Gas To Keep In Toad?
hermanmullins replied to jacqui00's topic in Toads-Towed Behind Motorhome
This is related to something I have heard before. Has anyone out there ever heard that if you continue to run you vehicle(with the fuel pump in the tank) low on fuel that you can burn your fuel pump out because the fuel keeps the pump cool. I have heard of this but never verified it. ?? -
Welcome to the Forum. As Bill said, they should be fairly compatible. Most M/Hs are plumbed with Pec tubing and a lot of new plumbing fixtures have Pec fittings or can be adapted for Pec.

Uneven Tire Tread Wear on Tow Dolly
hermanmullins replied to akadeadeye's topic in Toads-Towed Behind Motorhome
Don, The only alignment for the toe dolly would toe in. You might take the dolly to a shop and have them check to see if it might be toed in or out too much. Also, and this is just me but I have always balanced the tires on every thing I drive or pull down the Highway. Like chicken soup for a dead man "it may not help but it couldn't hurt." -
Rotten Bathroom Floor-- How To Fix It?
hermanmullins replied to OldAsDirt's topic in Water and Holding Tanks
Bill, Yes most people that work with wood knows how to set the depth of a skil saw, and it works fine in the middle of a room. However if you are in a M/H bathroom you would have limited space. A skil saw blade set to make a 3/4" deep cut has a very limited run before it hit objects like walls. Now to the problem at hand. If OldasDirt's toilet is on a raised up platform he might be able to remove the toilet and remove the entire platform top the toilet rest on. Problem solved and no sawing. -
Towing - What Do I Need To Know?
hermanmullins replied to Pxr177's topic in Toads-Towed Behind Motorhome
The State of Texas says if you are towing a car. trailer or dolly that exceeds 4,500 lbs. you must have an auxilliary braking of some sort. Be sure and check with the Mfg. of the manual car to see if it can be towed 4 down. Is there a company that makes base plates for the vehicle you wish to tow. Also check the capacity of your hitch. What type of lighting will you need. Will what you tow exceed to GVW. Hope this helps.- 3 replies

Rotten Bathroom Floor-- How To Fix It?
hermanmullins replied to OldAsDirt's topic in Water and Holding Tanks
I just reread the question. It asked if the toilet could be screwed to 3/4" plywwod. To that question, Yes. But there is no way I would put a saw to the floor right over the Holding tank that would be right under the toilet. -
99 Discovery 12 Volt Light Wiring Question
hermanmullins replied to Whoachubby's topic in Electrical
Whoachubby, that is what is called "Hitting the nail on the head". Might I suggest that when you purchase your replacement switches that you buy several extras. With a M/H you never have enough extra parts. -
nekiatap, Welcome to the Forum, I know that Camping World carries the Gustafon lights. I don't know if they would have replacement parts. Check out www.gustafonlighting.com they have relpacement parts intheir catalog.

99 Discovery 12 Volt Light Wiring Question
hermanmullins replied to Whoachubby's topic in Electrical
Whoachubby, Welcome to the Forum. I have had the switch in both of my Bedroom reading lights go out is less then a week of one another. They are easy to remove from the wall. You can check for 12 volts there because you have both Black (Positive) and White (Ground). If you have 12 volts check the switch. If you do not have voltage there try to run a wire from the ground side of the coach battery and see if you have power at the positive side of the light. If you have power, reverse the wire on the battery to the positive and check the ground at the light. This way you can check for a bad power or ground. Hope this works. I am sure there are other test out there and you will hear from them soon. Good luck -
Oh well. M & G was closed for the week end but the Owner said that Montie could answer the question about your Jeep but he was sure they had on to fit. 800-817-7698. I like M & G so much I have them on speed dial.
