I have had the Garman 760 LMT for a couple years now. If the 770 is similar then it is like any GPS it does have its limitations and is not "always" right. DW has an iPad and it is also used when we are on the road. When in doubt i follow the co-pilot navigator. It also helps to look at the route before departing, like the night before. Many times I have seen where taking one road may not be the quickest by a couple minutes or more but it is the easiest. One route may take 3 hours and 12 minutes and the other easier one 3 hours and 20 minutes. Not a big brain job for me to choose the easier route. Hey the Garman 770 LMT is a great device with construction and traffic updates. I would purchase another one just like it if it were to break. Just be aware of limitations.

Wait until you get a "Brake Check!" Brake Check - cars pull in front of you then slam on their brakes. The especially do it to 18 wheelers but a few MH's have had it done to them also.

FMCA Assist is the big bang for the buck. Cheapest insurance program anyone could possibly find.

Herman, I spent two years on the USS Eldorado (AGC-11) Marine Communications Detachment, Ships Company and I can say unequivocally yours (sailors) does smell. Don't ever say yours doesn't. Carl, payback is the Devil.

Rustoleum puts out a good rust reformer that I have used with success.

I do basically the same thing but without the 3 way manifold. Before the final 3 minute fill and dump I have DW do the Power Flush as described above. We have never had a sewer smell in the MH. (Unless I'm using the BR)

Have you looked in truck stores, like Freightliner, for trucker's seats. They have several different models some all automatic, some air ride, etc.

Hi Chris, just a few items. Are the duals on a 1 ton dually the same as the duals on a motorhome? Most likely with very slight differences. Can a MH operator drive a 1 ton pulling a 40' 5th wheel, backing it up, etc.? Probably not. I do say that my personal experience going from a 5th wheel to the MH was a no brainer. I found it easier to drive the MH. I would expect that FMCA would have MH drivers drive MH's and 5th wheel drivers drive 5th weels. 100% that FMCA should be self sustaining. I think increasing the membership, and still making cuts, to include other than MH's would achieve that goal.

Google search for RVillage and then click on FMCA in the search results for RVillage. Very nice ad. I have no idea what its worth is.

p.s., the wheel usually comes with a short straight valve and a dual headed trucker's tire inflation head is necessary to fill it and a dual headed trucker's gauge to check pressure. The inner tire is usually the same and the two trucker's items are needed. As Joe pointed out, easy to rotate the back tires.

Ah grasshoppers, I do one other step every so many dumps of the black. I have DW fill the toilet basin to the rim and then flush, and I have her do it twice. I call it the "power" flush. If you have a clear valve you can see the additional "brown that must go down."

Typically the outer wheel valve stem points inward and the inner wheel points outward. Using the Dually Valve I have a 135˚ or more valve for the outer and a straight for the inner. Nice thing about it is there are no extensions. These are valves directly fitted to the wheel.

Where there is sound and a volume control there is a speaker. Disconnect the speaker wire. Requires a little electronics knowledge.

I'll bet there is some company out there that would be willing to take a hunk of your money.

Friend has a Thor and the hose for the washer rubbed against the wiper wearing it out. Solution was to buy a 90˚ elbow which directs the rubber hose away from the wiper arm.

Mypopslou, yes, with my TST TPMS system the monitor is always 3 psi below what 3 other gauges I have indicate. The 3 other all read within 1/2 psi of each other. I mentioned this to TST and it was stated that the monitor is more accurate. So, with that said, and you know what the readings are, just use it as a reference. If your monitor states 105 psi you then have approximately 110 psi in the tires.

Many people have had good experiences with the braided extensions but in my case I got a bad set on install. The braid near the crimp leaked. Cost me a couple tires. So, I used the Dually Valve Stems and they work wonderfully. Call them with your specifications and ask questions. They are well worth the investment.

I have two. Just make sure they are continuous recording, that is they re-write over the sd card when it gets full. Only video worth keeping is the last one recorded.

When we stayed it was at the New Orleans West KOA. As you are driving to it you will say, "Hmmm! Do I really want to be in this area?" They do not have pull-throughs but the back-in were wide enough and the ground guide (at that time) was great. It is about 25 minutes from down town NO and the have a shuttle twice a day that will bring you to down-town. From what I have heard you do not want to be down-town at night - but that is hearsay.

For what it's worth, I have to turn my "steps" off or the trickle charge will not keep up with the discharge rate. First six months of ownership of the MH the service batteries would keep dropping down to 11.x volts. Called Winnebago and they said that the step motor should be off. Never had a problem after turning the steps off and plugged into 110 v at storage unit.

Wouldn't bother me as long as it is above 12' 4" (Think basement AC). If the sign says over "weight or" restricted and I'm over that weight I stay off. If it says "Trucks not allowed," then I'm cautious but I'm not a truck. Registrations says Recreational Vehicle. If I know the route I'm taking I'll use this web site AITA Online knowing that it is NOT all inclusive.

A three point turn looks to be definitely out of the question. Talk about a highway to nowhere. There might be a "Dead End" sign just about 50 or more miles up the path.

I have a 2008 and it does not have DEF, thank goodness.
