  1. Had Safe-T-Plus on my 2008. Great device. Highly recommended by me. I plan on getting one installed on the present one as soon as I can. Safe-T-Plus has developed a stabilizer for the IFS systems.
  2. In VN you could get flip-flops made from tires that if the strap didn't break would last a lifetime. I don't remember seeing a brand name as they were all made from the tread but I'll wager some were from the Michelin trees!! 🙂
  3. Based on the projected path, we stayed home. Galveston, 14 miles from us, was under mandatory evacuation, as were some other Texas town. We expected some outer bands here and we have friends in Port Arthur, TX and neither them or us had any rain and no surge. We didn't even have wind. Went grocery shopping today in Kemah, TX at a WM and there were maybe a dozen or so people shopping. Was nice. Thank you Lord.
  4. I have a couple of motion detector Ring Stick-up cameras and they work great. Only time they access the internet is if there is motion and then it notifies you. They are table top or wall mounted. Nice feature about the table top is that you can move it anywhere so in a motorhome you could set it so it only sees motion at the door but if you want to see the dogs walking by, that could be in the "zone" also.
  5. I call roadside assistance and tell the everything about my tire and have them bring me one.
  6. Sure is straight. Thanks.
  7. Michelin tires are made in many countries and first appeared in France by two Michelin brothers. They do have factories in China. How would one know where the tire came from. Might be able to tell from the bar code on the tire. China is 690–699 but only on a 13 number bar code..
  8. Wonder about the shadows. Also wonder why one picture has two white lines and the next only one!
  9. If it is hinged it could be the hinges themselves that have sagged. Try replacing the hinges. If you lift up on the door when you close it does it close with dragging? --- back to hinges.
  10. The Blue Sticky Tack doesn't work? It is a putty like substance and you tear off as much as you need, fold it like dough, stick it to the object and stick it to the wall. I have used that stuff on some pretty shiny surfaces. Just make sure the surface is clean of debris and oils - use alcohol. Loctite Fun Tac is another name. It can also be used to hold down items on counters for when you are moving down the highway.
  11. I know RV'ers that have 2000, 2001 coaches and they are i perfect condition. Find one of them or newer and you are good to go.
  12. If you do the fastest route it is 5442 miles and will take 80 hours. That would be14 days at about 8 hours a day just driving to make the trip. The fastest route will have tolls. Then consider the stopping, resting, stretching and eating and those hours will increase or the amount of days will increase. It is 2438 miles to Bend and then 3001 miles to Venice. That is a lot of ground to cover in two months. Yes it is doable especially if all you want to do is get there and visit with no sight seeing and then it will depend on the length of your visit. Thirty six hours to get to Bend, non-stop with a two week visit in Bend. then 44 hours non-stop to get to Venice, FL. You'll have a little time to stop and smell the roses. By non-stop I'm implying 8 hours a day and not counting rest stops. Doable, but not my choice.
  13. Some RV parks have a limit on the age of a MH and typically 10 years or newer are allowed to stay. Some will let you stay with a 10 year old RV but require a picture and have the option of turning you away when you show up. If the coach is in "looking good" condition you can stay. There are some that just use the 10 year old rule and it is written in there stone! So, judge accordingly and make your decisions of how many years you want to travel and if you can purchase another one sometime down the road that is newer.
  14. Well, my coach does everything automatically if I have the thermostat program set properly. In manual mode the generator has priority. When I plug in my surge protector this is about a 2 and 1/2 or more minute delay before it kicks in. I thump on the coach and DW turns AC's off - waits a full minute or more, then turns the generator off. At this time nothing is power up except maybe by inverter. Pedestal power kicks in, I thump on the coach and DW turns AC's back on. Now, I have my thermostat programmed for loss of power and battery level less than 12.2 volts. In either of those two cases the Auto Generator Start will kick in. The auto load function on the generator will keep things from running until it cycles up then the AC's will kick back on. However, if power at the pedestal is restored the generator will turn off and the pedestal power takes over and there is no loss of AC power or cycling. It has to be magic.
  15. Well Herman, if you want to miss I-45 and going through Houston, Take 99.
  16. JZ, guess that part wasn't clear to me. Yep! Time for the Pro's. If you were closer to me There is a great technician in Houston, Rudy Legett.
  17. Herman, do you have EZ-TAG? if so, follow the GPS to Hwy-6. Head toward Sugar Land and pick up 99 Toll, OR 36 to I-69 to 99 toll. Bypasses Houston. 99 Toll will put you 4 miles South of Tom Ball.
  18. Water, as you know, seeks its own level. Dripping water can be coming from anywhere. Try tipping the coach, and you only need to bump it a half inch or so to make water flow in a different direction. In the case of the Aquahot you have to run your fingers around the connections feeling for moisture. You man never see it but you will be able to feel it. That pipe was where mine was dripping from also. The pipe had nothing to do with the drip. I forgot what the pipe is.
  19. Joe, you missed it. In Central Mass you are correct about the prices but there are not upscale rvparks in the area. They all are ones that I, and possibly you, would not stay at.
  20. My brother and lots of cousins live in Central Mass. (East Brookfield) and Normandy Farms is about 60 miles away and Minute Man is about 45. Those are the only two places I would stay to see family. Everything, and I mean everything anywhere close to him I would not let a dog stay at. They are all terrible and run down. I have visited them all trying to find a place to stay. My previous MH I could run the front up on boards in his driveway and get level - only 40 ft MH. To try and do that again the back of the 43 footer would scrape the driveway. To much of a slope, and getting out of the driveway with the 40 footer he had to remove the mailbox. That area is terrible for anyone wanting to stay in an RV.
  21. JZ, I had that problem with my AquaHot. Checking to make sure it was not antifreeze, and it was not, trouble shooting led me to the inlet side of the tank. The connections are just regular plastic hose connections on mine. I was able to snake a hand in there (neighbors hand) and tighten the connections. Like a hose, they just have to be hand tight. Anyhow, just a thought for you to look at.
  22. I only have the TSD card. Most banks will let you set up a separate account, mine does. I populate that account with say $500 and set up an automatic withdrawal. Should some one hack the will only get the left overs of the $500. When on the road and I fill up a couple times I just log into my back account and transfer more into that separate account. So simple.
  23. See if this would work for you 50 to 30 amp adapter They call it a 30 to 50. This is NOT a dog bone adapter. I would definitely have a surge guard in-line, like the EMS-PT50C or similar.
  24. Try the North East for disappointment. They are very seasonal and make all their money between May and October. Forget weekends if you have not gotten reservations 6 months to a year ahead of schedule. Don, I'm near Galveston. Hot, humid, did I say hot - yep - hot. We typically are out of here sometime in June and don't return until October but the virus has put us at a no-go risk because of age, and DW's past bouts with ARDS.
