  1. It's not just Govt. sites. All web sites can have errors like that. They start prettying up their web site and it just breaks links when they start moving stuff around. More prevalent on web sites that have a lot of items linked.
  2. I'll guarantee that several months ago the Changing Gears web site had good links to all of the sites listed on their page. Now, one of 3 things will happen. One, you get to the web site, 2, you will get a page not found error, or 3, you get to the state web site and that page will say "page not found," which indicates that the state has changed the location of their driver license information. You will notice on those pages that give you a 404 error that there is a hyperlink. If you notice for Alabama the hyperlink is http://dps.alabama.gov/DriverLicense, But that will get an error. Backing up to dps.alabama.gov also gives an error, but just alabama.gov will get you to the Alabama web site. From there you can search in their search box for Alabama driver license and be given some choices. Not as easy as just clicking on the link in Changing Gears, but it is not Changing Gears fault that the states have moved their information pages. It is very difficult for a web site to keep up with everyone else's problem links.
  3. Yes, but they are Govt. Websites so it would be easy to search on their main site for the information. Not to many DL's change.
  4. Exactly what I do. Keeps the list short. I just skip the ones I'm not interested in.
  5. Five, I will not argue with you that my 2015 (2014 build) has or does not have engine preheat. Here is a snip from my manual, you can take it for what it is worth. I do no that when I turn it on with that "engine preheat" switch to the far right, it heats the engine up. What can I say. Yep, has to be a Marine thing, I mean everyone knows we do "it" better! 😁
  6. Carl, I have received very little amounts of PM's and all that I have received were good. No spam - no don't start now!
  7. I agree with Richard except for the "class of license." Class C, B, and A all have different meaning in different states. In Texas, if the vehicle is below 26,000 pounds all one needs is a regular class C license but if it is over 26,000 pounds a Class B or A is needed depending on the weight of the towed vehicle. Yes, different states, different laws but the driver license is reciprocal as long as the driver is legal in the driver license state of record. All rules and regulations pertaining to anything other than the class of license being reciprocal is determined state by state.
  8. All the states recognize and reciprocate on licenses. If you license is legal in your state it is legal in all the other states. A problem could arise in the different state laws for vehicle length weight, height, towing. etc. However, I have never been stopped for any of those checks. I think someone would have to be doing something wrong or dangerous on the highway to be stopped. California has a law for towing that the speed limit is 55 mph when towing. I try to stay with that but sometimes I'll push it to 59 or 60. So far so good.
  9. I do it like Brett said. Those I'm not interested in I just skip. Usually only a dozen or so unread unless I skip a day. When I'm through with today's posts I click on "Mark site read." Next time I log in I only see those sites I have not read.
  10. Define loosing money versus not making as much.
  11. Herman, My email clients program allows me to to drage a spam into my inbox and then it is no longer spam, or I can click on an item that declares in "not spam." If for some reason I need to check the spam folder I sort by email address and then it is easy to find the email that I want sending to me.
  12. If I put items in the spam folder I don't need to check the spam folder, just right click and delete spam. Of course, I have never used WEB email, only CLIENT email.
  13. I love the engine loop Hot water when you stop with nothing turned on to heat the water except the running engine for a couple hundred miles. My pre-heat switch is on my Energy Management Panel. Just says "Engine."
  14. Mine has an engine pre-heat also. (400D)
  15. What does all the money go to in all the RV Clubs. I mean, according to the article the loss for FMCA would be $700,000 in revenue. If they were to received $700,000 what would it be used for?
  16. Brian, that is why I carry an extended service plan. I consider it nothing more than insurance like I pay every year for my sticks and bricks house. Over the years my ESP has paid for itself. Others have not been so fortunate, or unfortunate, depending on how you look at it.
  17. You don't have to put that on the application. TSD will call you and you give it over the phone so it doesn't get "On the Internet." Bank # and account number are for the withdrawing by TSD. The SSN is in case you default on payments, like not having enough the the account, that they can track you down. I set up a separate account with my FCU bank and populated it with $500. As I use it I transfer more $$ into it.
  18. A little squirt goes a long ways....:-)
  19. Ceramic Wax is good stuff. Using Meguires?
  20. Ray, try "Wash-Wax-All." Good product with a fantastic application mop. I bought the kit and have been very satisfied with it. Waterless.
