  1. Cheap and easy like I posted before some painters tape and a couple of rattle cans from walmart. Ok add in some scotch brite a small can of acetone to clean it before painting. Bill
  2. When I used the program the money went to Michelin via credit card. Since the money never goes to FMCA I am suspicious of this dealers storey. By the way welcome to the forum echo3 Bill
  3. Welcome to the forum. Where are you headed? Bill
  4. That part would be fine. However I find it totally disingenuous to next post videos of split rim tires exploding. When the Op in his first post on the forum ask a simple question. All the OP wanted to know was "Can a portable air compressor properly inflate coach tires (245/70R19.5 )". Ok I used 5 psi as an example. Adding a caution is one thing. However tireman9 never answered the OPs question instead starts implying (using videos) you can't add air unless you have a cage. How much air did you add the last time you adjusted tire preshure on your RV? All the OP wanted to know was "Can a portable air compressor properly inflate coach tires (245/70R19.5 )". Bill
  5. Seriously, Show me where you have your approved safety cage stored on your RV so you can check the tire pressure and maybe add 5 psi. If you have all this knowledge on tires, why are you showing videos of exploding split rims that are illegal to be used on a RV? Well since the mid 70. Why are you showing fake video (it depicts what could happen with a dummy) where the tire was deliberately blown up? All the OP wanted to know was "Can a portable air compressor properly inflate coach tires (245/70R19.5 )" jamestilden, Hope you weren't put off by all this and come back. Bill
  6. What does Ca say about "if you are out of state" when it expires? Bill
  7. I would look at possibly painting it with a paint made for plastics. Prep would be a big part of getting good results. Bill
  8. First welcome to the forum. Yes you can get a portable Compressor to air up your tiers. The thing to pay attention to when looking is what is it's working pressure and what kind of volume can you get before it is below the pressure you are shooting for in your tire. You probably have run into this before, where you don't have enough difference in air pressure between the pressure in the air compressor and in the tire you are trying to air up. It will take a long time. I have a DEWALT DWFP55126 6-Gallon 165 PSI Pancake Compressor You can get them from Amazon under $130.00. If you really need a 12V unit I recommend the Viair 40047 400P-RV Automatic Portable Compressor Kit also on Amazon $312.95 Let us know if you have questions or what you get. Bill
  9. manholt, If you re read what the OP said, carefully, you will note he is not asking about Wallace, ID. Where he lives. He was asking about McCall, ID. My suggestion is based on my opinion that new RV travelers would benefit from having their first experiences camping in a quality full hookup campground would be preferable. I also posted tools to help them find places. The statement "how does one find a good overnight places along the route, especially in small towns?" Made me think they were implying they wanted to stay primarily in small towns. Hence my last reply. However as they haven't answered the questions about destinations and routes. I will leave future answers to your all wise expertise. Bill
  10. Well as you can see the OP hasn't been back since March 13. After re reading, I think a much better search criteria would be "finding great campgrounds on my route" You then take your toad and explore the small towns. I don't think sleeping in a parking lot as a good place to camp. Bill
  11. With all the variations I would call FLEETWOOD Parts, Service & Technical Support 800-322-8216 They can send you wiring diagrams and tell you where to look. Bill
  12. Yes like that, Don't remember the exact horses right now it was 4 years ago. But highly recommend it if you have any interest in horses. Bill
  13. See this is where having your coach in your signature (see wolfe10) would save time. On what coach? For a emergency repair? or as a permanent repair of a leak or just to get out of doing the repair/replacement of the roof caulk? Bill
  14. You should see Kentucky Horse Park as long as you are in Georgetown. It is part of the Smithsonian and is the home of some famous retired Kentucky Derby winners. They have a neet program where they bring several out and do a presentation about their careers and you can nearly touch the horses you are that close. Really interesting place. Bill
  15. Ok I understand it is easier to sell the new batteries if you have some installed. I don't feel that need to go live like a hermit in the outback. You still need to move so you can dump and refill your water. Back in the 60s when I started camping whe would go on multi week trips to places like the Algonquin Provincial Park in Canada. for a 3 week canoe camping trip with no hookups. Actually I am pretty shure RV stands for Recreational Vehicle. We all Recreate in different ways. Bill
  16. djwest21, welcome to the form. Well that is 2 votes for Nevada Treasures. You ought to send a PM to Punxsyjumper and see if they are still there. Bill
  17. Lets not scare the kids with pictures. Back to the nuts you linked to I would use the ones with a real threaded nut. You can get them in different dimensions (thread size like 10/32) and in the distance from the center of the hole to the folded over part. so you can have more edge distance. They slip over the edge so they don't turn when you are running the screw in. I have only seen the arched flat "nuts" used in a metal holder that was like a strip with several of the "Nuts" slid in a track like strip nutplates. Bill
  18. The clip nuts will work if you arn't realey concerned about strength. Bill
  19. I think they are absolutely marvelous technology. In the last 3 years I have spent exactly one night not hooked up and ran the generator for AC. So explain why I should spend that kind of money? DD how many do you have to sell to make back the cost of your new toys? Bill
  20. Just wondering if the TVs were set up properly and did you do a channel search after each change. Bill
  21. You may be SOL. RV water systems are not made to run at hi preshure. That is why you have to run waterpreshure regulators. This is about as good as you can find. 4 GPM at 55 PSI https://www.pentair.com/content/pentair/en/applications/enjoying-water/rv/water-delivery/4048_high_flow_pump.html Bill
  22. The big problem with the socialist state of Kalifornia is "do as I say not as I do" Last time I was out there they had a major drought going on. Not one water restriction in place, in fact all the towns along 99 were watering the center and sides of the road. They were on tv moaning about the drought but watering the freeway. Bill
  23. Carl, in Main, Mcdonalds sells lobster rolls. Bill
  24. Well I don't do the all you can eat places as much but I haven't found a bad place of the ones we have been to in Providence on Federal hill, like Siena, or Camille's. If you want old school try Aunt Carrie's it is a 1920s era clam shack at,1240 Ocean Rd, Narragansett, RI 02882. Bill
  25. This is what the OP said. Hope we hear back from the OP. Bill
