Chris, You will find nearly all tire dealers will inflate to the "sidewall" pressure. You will have to set it after you get home. Bill

Welcome to the forum Norm, It is unfortunate that they are trying to move old stock on you. Hopefully you can get them swapped for newer/fresher ones. Have you looked at the 2 tire programs available to you? I am favoring the Continental program right now. The one big take away from all this is tires start to deteriorate when they come out of the mold. There is no such thing as "shelf Life" it is all the same. Keep us updated. Bill

I keep advocating for a "towable option package" Where you could special order one with a towable transmission and base plate, lights ready to tow. Bill

Ilike my Surge Guard portable for that reason. At Least 3 times last summer I had problems with the power ata site. Having the portable allowed me to go check a different site before I moved the couch. In one state park I tryed 4 places before finding good power. I know I probbabley need the practise backing in but. Bill

Carl, It may never ride as smooth as your Cadillac. I know you know but a reminder for others who read this. Even when you have all the individual weights you will still use the heaviest on each axle to set the air preshure for that axle. When you add 10% for safety (depending on your weight) you may be back to close to what you are running now. I will be interested to see how the new tires affect your ride. Older tires tend to be harder and ride harsher than new ones. Bill

I don't carry a spare. Keep in mind the spare is going to age out the same as your outher tires. I would put the money in a savings account. Bill

Just like I posted above. 2014 is the last year you can tow a CR-V. Bill

I was told before DEF you still had to re gen the particulate filter. Might be wrong. Bill

I think it would be better if you decide which of the ones in the guide fit your needs. Then ask if someone has experience with that one. What I like may not match up with what you like. I like the Honda CR-V but 2014 was the last year you could tow one. Bill

You can post it to me here I won't tell anyone. BAck to traveling up the Maine coast. I recommend you stay on 1 and don't get off on 1A with the coach. I have driven on highway 1 from the main's south border to Eastport We stayed at Seaview Campground & Cottages,16 Norwood Rd, Eastport, ME 04631, eastport maine.com,(207) 853-4471. This is the most North Eastern campground in the US. If you go to Eastport stop at Ray's Mustard Factory. Bill -
Allowing Towables Vote At Indianapolis In July

, This is a perfect example of the problem. I am sorry about picking on Ross but this a perfect example of the problem. "We did this one thing and we don't need to do anything else". If recruting new members is critical to your survival you should have it on every piece of literature and correspondence that goes out and yes on the web site prominently displayed. Not where you have to hunt for it. Bill -
Carl, is the spacing enough you could stop with just the tag on the scale? Or on a different area of the scale. Look at this it may give you a better idea. https://catscale.com/how-to-weigh/ Bill

That sounds like a good idea to present the resources of the forum as a seminar. Bill -

Yes great answer both of you. You seem to miss the point. Perhaps it points to the systemic problem with recruiting. Bill -
Carl, The quote was from the TRUCK tire web site. http://www.michelintruck.com/reference-materials/manuals-bulletins-and-warranties/ The heading of this bulletin was "Service Life for RV/Motorhome Tires". So yes I think it is relevant to RV/Motorhome tires. This bulletin also shows a date code. Bill

Allowing Towables Vote At Indianapolis In July

I have spend quite a bit of time reading on the FMCA website and can't find where it talks about the $10.00 coupon. This needs to be HIGHLIGHTED and promoted. I even printed a app to read and can't see it. I usually keep a couple of apps handey. Bill -
My observation is that tires between 7-10 years old fail at a significantly higher rate than tiers between 5-7 years old. I wonder why Michelin would say this if age was not a consideration. "While most tires will need replacement before they achieve 10 years, it is recommended that any tires in service 10 years or more from the date of manufacture, including spare tires, be replaced with new tires as a simple precaution even if such tires appear serviceable and even if they have not reached the legal wear limit. For tires that were on an original equipment vehicle (i.e., acquired by the consumer on a new vehicle), follow the vehicle manufacturer’s tire replacement recommendations, when specified (but not to exceed 10 years)." This is from a Michelin Technical Bulletin dated May 15, 2006, I have seen nothing to change it. Bill

To change your notification settings. Go to Account then account settings, then click on Notification Settings change what you want then click on save. You can also add your coach info to your signature by going to Signature. I think the biggest bang for the buck right now is to get a all wheel alignment then weigh the coach and set air pressure based on weight. Let us know if it helps. Bill

I haven't had that much of a problem geting around in my 38ft coach with the toad. Yes if you try to drive through every little town you will have problems driving a car. The outher problem is there are a lot of campgrounds that close after Labor Day. I talked to a guy who had a campground at Newfound Lake about staying open later. He was close to a big ski area. He told me the city would not let him stay open. I know the owner of Worden Pond Family Campground in RI and they close right after Labor Day. They open Memorial day. Joe you might like this place $45.00 for 50 amp and water. Dump site or pump out. Great location. -

I had planned on going over the Tappan Z but couldn't get the map navigation program to go that way. So I tried routing to the town on the outher side of the TZ so it would take me that way. I thought we were good to go. Apparently it changed and yes it was routing me to that town buy going up 95 till I crossed the GW then going north on the outher side of the river to that town. Note to self ALWAYS confirm routes on map. When I looked online before that trip they said I needed a Commercial account. I ended up not geting it online because of the time constraints. (it would get to me 10 days after I left) I ended up doing a walk in in New Hampshire. There they told me I didn't need a commercial E-ZPass. They also instructed me to put the transponder for the toad in its foil pouch so it couldn't be read when in tow. When it is in tow it is charged as a "trailer" at a lower rate than if it was driven. They never asked how much the coach weighed and it has worked flawlessly. Bill -
Personally I would get the 50 amp spot and then you don't have to worry. Bill

I drove I-95 from DC to RI. This was before I got my E-ZPass and the toll on the George Washington bridge was $76.00 cash only. I don't know what it would be with my pass and I don't intend to find out. Bill -

If you are going to be traveling in the North East that you get an E-ZPass for the coach and for your toad. Saves money on tolls and much easier not stopping to pay tolls. Bill
