  1. Interesting that I have never seen them or seen advertising saying they offer that service at rally's or shows. I did not see them at Perry Ga. this last time. I will be at the FMCA 6 state in Conroe next month and I will look for them. Bill
  2. Once gain this is a 3 year old post. It unlikely they are following it. Bill
  3. Welcome to the forum vgsully. It is simple enough go to the Michelin web site in this case for the XRV http://www.michelinrvtires.com/tires/selector/#!/info/xrv Here are the main things you will need to match in a different brand. Overall Diameter 37.1 in, Overall Width 9.2 in, Max Load Per Tire Single 4675/110 lbs/psi, Max Load Per Tire Dual 4410/110 lbs/psi All you have to do is match with, diameter and load range. Good year says 235/80R22.5 = 245/75R22.5 Bill
  4. You did notice this is a 3 year old post. Bill
  5. Not always, The female chuck in the front of your coach is so the tow truck can connect a air hose. They use a task made hose that has male fittings on both ends. Bill
  6. That exhaust pipe gets HOT you might try adding a heat shield over it. Adding an extension probably won't make that much difference. Bill
  7. As good scouts you probably have scouted out Pharr places. I was in Pharr, TX this February. May be down that way again after the FMCA rally in Cornrow in October. Bill
  8. Find the floor plan you and especially your wife likes. The only downside to a rear bath is if you don't have a half bath in the middle if you have company or kids they have to go through the bedroom to get to the bathroom at night. Bill
  9. I was doing some reading on this subject. Both Cat and Cummins say you don't need any additives. The big caveat is "if the fuel meets the required standards." Now how do we know if the fuel meets all the requirements? Now it is interesting that Cat says that additives will not improve performance but may "restore" performance. They now recommend 256-4968 Caterpillar fuel conditioner can improves mileage by 2-3%. They also recommend, 343-6210 Caterpillar Fuel system cleaner. Cummins only approves products manufactured by Cummins or it’s subsidiaries. https://www.cumminsfiltration.com/pdfs/product_lit/americas_brochures/LT32599_08.pdf So while saying you don't need additives they sell and recommend them. I am going to continue to run the Fleetguard Asphaltene Conditioner or Diesel Kleen. Bill
  10. edsugghd, Welcome to the forum. I would go read the information that rlbarkleyii posted. You might want to change your practices. rlbarkleyii, Thanks for posting that link I have seen it before but couldn't find my link. I think it is interesting that the thing most of us hate is one of the best things to do for lubricity, I am talking about running a Biodiesel mix. I find it is hard to find a place that isn't selling at lest 5% and have seen as high as 50%. Well on my old 03 Cummins I run Diesel clean more for the clean but adding to the lubricity can't hurt. Bill
  11. Welcome to the forum. If it doesn't get more than 8-10 degrees even 30.I wouldn't worry about It. You can see more than that from sunny side to the shady side on a summer day. Bill
  12. Just a thought. I have a main switch in the panel with the water pump and battery switches. I also have a switch by both sinks. First find the switch over the door on the main panel and make shure it is on. Try turning on the switch by the sink in the kitchen. Go out side and see if you can hear the igniter spark, it will spark for a while then stop if it doesn't ignite. If it doesn't ignite cycle the main switch off and on and it should try to light. Make shure your propane is on and the stove lights.Bill
  13. One big thing that is not stressed enough in the manual. NEVER go into neutral from reverse when getting ready to tow. ALWAYS go into neutral from drive. I have heard of at least two transmission failures from not doing it right. Bill
  14. Welcome to the forum. I found some Accuride: http://www.amazon.com/Accuride-28608AOP-Piloted-Aluminum-Wheel/dp/B00U6JJZRO/ref=pd_sim_sbs_293_4?ie=UTF8&refRID=0VYR6TBVN3HPHJ9G7CBP&dpSrc=sims&dpST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_ Here is an Alcoa: http://www.amazon.com/22-5-Stud-Piloted-Alcoa-Aluminum-10-11-25/dp/B001NPMNWE Bill
  15. This is why I recommended the blue 242 and because it is the easiest to find. http://www.loctiteproducts.com/p/10/15/t_lkr_blue/overview/Loctite-Threadlocker-Blue-242.htm Bill
  16. Welcome to the forum Chuckwagon, Never back up when towing 4 down you will damage the suspension and or the tow bar. Repeat, never back up when towing 4 down you will damage the suspension and or the tow bar. Now that being said I think a NSA surge braking system should work fine. I had surge brakes on my tow dolly and no problems. When you get right down to it all but the brake systems that are activated by your coach have some type of surge detection system. The Brake Buddy has a inertia detector that just detects the "surge" a different way. Bill
  17. Would be interesting to hear what the owner had to say, the repeatable part any way. Bill
  18. I still haven't heard why you think you need that high a weight rated tire. Look hear: http://www.summitracing.com/oh/search/part-type/wheels?N=4294920860%2B4294920342%2B4294947557 Bill
  19. When you do plan on being at a rally go register/sine up with Blue OX the very first thing. They only do so many per rally so you want to get on the list as quick as you can. They came to the coach and picked up the tow bar basically rebuilt it re certified it and brought it back for $30.00. Yes it never hurts to look in the for sale listings. I found mine on Craig's list. Bill
  20. Why do you think you need such a hi capacity tire? The originals in your post were at best = to load range "E" or about 2790@80 psi. I found 16" tiers that will match or exceed that load and you can step up to load range "G" for a capacity of 3415@110 psi. Replacing with 16" rims is going to be easier and a lot cheaper than having someone cut and weld rims. You can buy 19.5 rims with out going through having someone cut and weld rims that may or may not be true. Do you have 6 or 10 lug rims? By the way you need a 265/70R 19.5 load range "G" at 105 psi to cover your 4800lbs. Bill
  21. How fast were you driving? Speed cost fuel mileage. You might like to read this thread. http://community.fmca.com/topic/3324-ford-v10-gas-mileage/ Bill
  22. Good job Dave. Small world in that you were close enough to help in person. Bill
  23. Just be sure to use the blue Loctite so you can take the screws lose if you decide to. Bill
