  1. The question is why is the OP having problems with his chasse battery's when they worked on/changed the house batteries? OP said "On the drive home the stop engine light on the dash illuminated and lights in the coach Dimmed." Why wasn't the alternator keeping up with the load? Need more information. Bill
  2. Amazing what you can learn when you can see the problem. Bill
  3. Just a guess but it sounds like someone replaced the inner rims with rims with the big valve stems or Newmar just used/put on rims with big valve stems and didn't notice it. Lots of times they use aluminum on the outers and steel on the inside rims. Bill
  4. Welcome to the forum. That is what insurance is fore. Bill
  5. Not a C fan. Most don't have enough towing capacity or CCC to be useful. You said "We want gas, something large enough to live in for several months" I don't see a C that would work for living comfortably in. Bill
  6. Welcome to the forum. Hearer is a good choice for a gas coach. https://www.newmarcorp.com/gas-motor-coaches/bay-star/floorplans/ If you want easey to drive I would look at this one. I have a friend who loves his with Comfort drive. He is full time at 90. https://www.newmarcorp.com/luxury-motor-coaches/new-aire/ Bill

  9. C-925790, Welcome to the forum. New one on me. I have never seen a oversize valve stem on a RV. Bill
  10. Tom, welcome to the forum. Have you looked at the Continentals under the FMCA tire program? Bill
  11. Welcome to the forum. Saying you are in Texas is nice but so am I and I can't see you. Where in Texas? Bill
  12. Ok hearer is my wild a** guess. Low voltage will produce lots of heat. Bill

  14. Welcome to the forum. Thank you for that information. Bill
  15. Welcome to the forum. Lots of work to bring one back if it is badly oxidized but worth it when you are done. Bill
  16. Ove Corse it is ease to spend your money. However with the age of the unit I would feel bad if I spent $$$ to fix a unit to have it leak back down and still need replacing. If you were handy and could put a tap on it so you could add Freon and see if it would take a charge and not leak back down right a way you could delay replacing it. If you have to pay someone to do all the work I would just replace it. Bill
  17. I would rather hire a RV inspector to go over the one I picked out. Bill
  18. What are you doing that uses so much propane that 60# "Might get you through a week" In my last camper we went all summer on les than 60#. Wayne, I have never had that fancy of a setup. Best I ever had was a extend a stay. Bill
  19. Yes they can be repaired and ports added to add freon. However as you noted it all cost money. With a unit that age I would be leaning toward a new unit. Bill
  20. The pictures in Google street view and Google Earth are not always current pictures. I think it is fun they let the car come in at Buckhorn Lake and take street view pictures. However they are listed as May 2016. Who knows the last time the areal views were taken. Yes there are lots of people headed out for the weekend/Spring Break. Bill
  21. Yes it wouldn't rout us to the TZ, so tried going to the town on the outher side of the river at the TZ. It routed us across the GW bridge and up the bank of the river to that town. At that time it was a $76.00 toll. I think TZ was $19.00. Bill
