A little off subject, but since the OP has now located the battery location! The first time that I or many in out neighborhood had seen a VW beetle, I was driving a bread truck back then, (early 60's) one customer had just purchased a new one. She proudly told me how amazing that little car was, including that it did not need or have a battery. I told her that was insane, there had to be one somewhere. Nope she replied, her husband had checked all over and there was not one. A year later, she met me at the door to inform that the battery had been located since the car was burned to the ground, the battery was under the rear seat and another couple rode to church in the rear seat, hit a bump, the battery shorted, and now you know the rest of the story.

The above statement is true on every unit that I have dealt with in the past. If the Op will please look at the tech sticker just inside the fridge door and verify the max amp draw of that unit, will be helpful to determine what may be happening. Many fridges of the 2010 vintage were very high wattage/amperage and will pull the batteries down very rapidly while on an inverter, and as stated in previous post, the charge to house batteries are kept to a minimum from the chassis supply. If max amperage is 8 or more then the average run amperage is very near 4 amps at 120 volts, this will deplete about 48 amps from a 12 volt DC supply.

Which Flags to Fly (If Any)? -- July 4, 2020 Weekend
kaypsmith replied to fagnaml's topic in General Discussion
I will be home and fly the American flag on top, Bonnie Blue just beneath that and let the ingrates wonder what it is. Of course only the low flying planes will see it, I could get away with the confederate battle flag, but bonnie blue is what I usually flag in an RV park, very few bother to ask what it represents. -
In a class C, the house batteries are sometimes under the hood, not sure about your brand MH, but worth looking there for them. Welcome to the forum and maybe somebody with more knowledge about Cobra will come along soon.

Here is a great article to read, it will help understand the GFCI device. https://www.rvtravel.com/30-and-50-amp-gfcis-in-campgrounds/

Try running the fan only on two wire extension cord directly to a 15 amp gfci circuit. If the fan doesn't trip that circuit, then your theory may well be correct. GFCI is not a load breaker, it is a means of checking for a difference of the load side against the neutral, ie., if the amp draw by law is 5 milliamp or more difference, the breaker will trip. Most manufacturers use 4 mills in order to be under the mandated specs. (Any bleed to ground will trip), please note that the bleed is not from hot to ground, it is from hot to neutral, that is the black to white wires, not black to bare, or green in some circuits. Bare or green is the ground wire, and they must not be bonded to the chassis of the coach, what is bonded to the chassis of the coach is the negative circuit of your 12/24 volt batteries.

Maybe the regulator, or the tank may have been filled by an incompetent LP filling station. If the tank was not properly purged, and the tank was overfilled, the same symptoms will appear. The tank can only be filled to 80% liquid, if more than this, does not leave enough room for the liquid to vaporize,

Ditto to led's, but it is even simpler now as there are led bulbs to just take out the fluorescent bulbs and insert the new bulb into the old socket and rewire eliminating the ballast.

Wayne, too much salt in the air that close to the water, LOL! In Florida, they sweep the sand to keep the grass from growing, puppy will need to learn to use the sand BOX?

Register MH at vacation home in another state?
kaypsmith replied to rthayer89's topic in Laws and Legislative Action
I do not know about Minnesota, I live in Alabama, here and in most other states, require the tag be bought in the DL state, unless it is a commercial tag, and those usually require a business address in the county and state where the tag is being purchased. Maybe a Minnesota resident will come along and shed better light on Minn. Welcome to the forum., and good luck with your venture. -
The vapor lock theory could be true after 42,000 miles, the heat over the many miles has probably caused a breakdown in several components which may have finally come to a head. So yes, this probably has solved the problem.

Welcome to the forum! Try this link. https://www.sdtrucksprings.com/w01-358-9780-firestone-air-spring-sleeve-style?gclid=Cj0KCQjwrIf3BRD1ARIsAMuugNt5gIA6AzYrcalzy-iQSuwsAbNHXiMNSMWESzryGYb35ueWqwj_d-YaAmU6EALw_wcB Most of the time, you can remove the air bag and take to a truck parts store, and find an exact match.

Towing a rav4 front wheel drive using tow dolly
kaypsmith replied to recruit4unow's topic in Toads-Towed Behind Motorhome
EZ tow dolly has a fixed plate for the car to sit on, therefore, if your steering has a locking mechanism, you will need to unlock it, probably the key has a position that will release the lock and not drain the battery. Since the Rav4 is front wheel drive only, all you need to do is to pull the front wheels onto the dolly, put the car in park, do not set the parking brake. Strap the wheels to the dolly and any safety chains that were provided with the dolly, store the ramps, make sure the lights and brakes on the dolly are hooked up and working. Happy tales and trails. -
Yep. Cedar Key, probably the best fishing in Florida, long desolate road between Cross City and Cedar Key is the reason for the 20 cent rip off, small wonder that it's not $2.00 per gallon, Columbians don't care how much gasoline cost. Sorry the devil made me do it. No joke. fishing is really great off the coast of Cedar Key. haven't been there in years, but was one of my favorite seafood restaurants back in the day. Joe, is looking for sites near Ocala area and below. Good luck Joe, sorry that I can't answer question about that area, been too many years to be accurate about that area. Half brother in law lives in Daytona and that's a little further north, although I used to love to visit the Daytona flea market.

I like Traeger, I have two of them, one tabletop for the coach and one barrel style, not gas, not charcoal, just wood pellets and both work great.

I started a new thread on headlights too dim, several months ago. You now have access to LED headlights in almost any shape. They require much lower current, meaning that those smaller wire sizes (higher gauge) in number should be adequate.

Many times, the builder will add a second pull because it is in a more convenient location because of the way the coach was built, ie. you probably only need to purge by either valve. I have chains on all valves that need to be purged that are attached to an outside wall so there is no need to crawl under the coach to purge. Please remember that my coach was an intercity bus that was very low to the ground for air foil purposes, and is the reason for the builder adding chains.

In the old days when we only used manual transmissions, driving instructors taught to go down a grade in the same gear that was necessary to climb the grade, and we used the stab brake technique back then to keep from over revving the engine.

What browser are you using? I was able to open IE11, Edge, and Google chrome without a problem.

When you plug in the fridge to the extension cord, what is the extension cord plugged into? If there is difference in amperage between neutral and hot, "uneven amperage between the two" a gfci will trip, nothing to do with overload of the circuit, regular gfci's are not there for overload protection, the breaker that the gfci takes care of that. If the extension cord is not plugged into a gfci circuit the gfci should not trip. As mentioned above the icemaker is probably still plugged into the gfci and that is what is tripping the gfi circuit. Or, the control board itself may be miswired or faulty, if the control board controls the icemaker also.

I found a custom bath maker (Creative Bath), they made my shower, counter tops, and tale top for me out of man made marble. Was very reasonable and shaped and colored to my liking. It weighs about one fourth the weight of granite and has held up very well. As Herman said if someone has the skills, a plastic laminate top could be used and actually use real wood molding, stained and finished around the edges can also be used if a detailed edge is desired.

When you got her home, did you hook to shore power?

As Brett said, call your states DMV for first hand talk, but here is a website that list by state. http://changingears.com/rv-sec-state-rv-license.shtml each state has it's own requirements for DL's, and DL's are reciprocal, but coach requirements are not.
