Well Jack, at least you know what I'm talking about dumping the air straight down when need to. Sorry you don't have that anymore as you and I know that it helps.
-
Brett, what do you think about their fan blade claim of more HP and fuel economy?
-
Sounds like the wiring in the steering column. I don't have manuals on F53 chassis but I wonder if it has a clock spring?
-
Mine has a vent on the unit that blow directed out of the center turning the roof vents off. I think it does a better job than the roof vents as air flow is much higher. You will get more noise. You turn the vent on and off by sliding the panel from one side to the other to expose the holes. See if you have something like that.

I believe some exhaust brake have an orifice on its plate that may cause more than a hiss out the tailpipe under extreme condition. I sometimes hear something similar when I get a heavy downshift with the exhaust brake on.

Most have hydraulic jacks like Wiggins (apples). You mention air leveler option (orange) I'm out of here.
-
I think we are talking apple and oranges here. I wrote "Works better to feather the brake pedal (key on engine off) hold the dump switch at the same time". What is stopping the air bags from filling back up if there is air pressure in the tanks? Most have hydraulic jack leveling system and air suspension doesn't play nice with it.
-
Works better to feather the brake pedal (key on engine off) hold the dump switch at the same time. That lets all the air out of the system. Then you level without problems. I see where some level coach and the air suspension will override the level and throw coach to one side.

Jared, gassing is bad if water level is good. Half inch over the plates only, not up to the bottom ring or you can be causing the gassing.

I went to the Interstate similar at Redmond and they state use wet type if access is good and dry cell type when access is bad. You don't want to mix type of batteries whether it be starting or house batteries as it will not charge properly. If you went to one type of battery to another you will have to adjust your charger inverter so you charge at the right rate.

Camping World Turns Down Warranty Repair Of Inside Step
huffypuff replied to lylefikse's topic in Extended Service Policies
Wow I had warranty work at the same place with no problem. Must be a tough problem. -
At the Redmond reunion my wife went to the Ladies Social. While there she won a couple of prizes. First one is a blanket that she will have to find a use for and the other one is a stuffed bear. She was instructed to take pictures of the many places the bear appear. She is to return the bear next year in Bend, OR. She took the first picture of it sitting on the dash as we were driving down the road leaving Redmond. The question we have is should the pictures be only RV travel related or more everyday life? What do we do with the pictures? Do we make a blog or a photo gallery? This care bear thing is new to us.

Found Out I Was Wrong!

Yes I had a great time at the rally and even join a new chapter in my area. That chapter is having a rally this coming September and I'm going to it. I'm also aware of another chapter I want to join and will be in contact with them soon thanks to Redmond for both. All of my neighbors there far and wide was very nice and my wife and I had great conversation with many of them. BTW the picture at the bottom is from Redmond and I did wipe it down but the wheels is dull from driving through a monsoon to get there on route 26. Roadmaster check my tow bar and deemed it worn out. Since it was and old model with no parts available for it (Eagle 8000) they took the old one in trade to quote "Get it off the road". I also got a 10 sensor tire pressure monitor system for better price than at Camping World thanks to tireman and a vendor. We got a quote for a remodel for the bedroom to add another closet and drawers since we had the room. I am also aware of a replacement fan blade on the direct drive diesel pusher I have that more quiet and robs less HP. Thanks to similars at Redmond I learn alot. One of the nightly entertainment I really enjoyed. This was well worth the money for this rally and I will attend another one. I know Bend, OR has one next year. My wife also has to return a stuff bear then. -
After 2002 model year. Before that no more than B5 because of the seals.

Found Out I Was Wrong!

I'm not trying to kick a hornet nest but the strap is fabric and can tear in a straight line like duct tape. Most fabric does that as I remember ripping many pants and shirts. -

Found Out I Was Wrong!

Where I was parked on D-3 street at Redmond, there is a X where the left front corner goes and a line where the left rear side is not suppose to cross. The rear is not to be pass the wiring run behind the coach. If your coach was in these boundaries you shouldn't have to move it. I wouldn't of and instead would of checked their coach to see if they were parked correctly. There was plenty of room there to park large SUV and have scooters and golf carts too. On a 12 year old coach, window awning straps are known to break on their own when they are under tension. I wouldn't blame anyone unless I'm 100% sure and saw it happen. I was lucky and didn't bump into anyone unfriendly there. -
Breakers Tripping When Using A/C & Appliances At Same Time
huffypuff replied to tilldee's topic in Electrical
You may need to have an intelitek control panel installed. Why? If your coach is 50 amp and you're plugged into 30 amp or worst 20 amp you will be overloading the source of your power. The power management in the intelitek will switch things off if you go over the rating. Example: When I was at Redmond this week my 50 amp coach was plugged into 30 amp. I was running my front A/C and used the microwave while the A/C was running. Guess what, there isn't enough amps for both on one leg since the frig was on 120 as well as HW heater. So the intelitek turned off the a/c until the microwave was done then turn the a/c back on. Are you sure this isn't what's happening? -
I could be wrong but I thought I saw them as a vendor at the Redmond, OR reunion.

huffypuff replied to huffypuff's topic in FMCA Redmond, Oregon, 2014 Family Reunion
Looks like there will be stormy drives to Redmond today and tomorrow. Please be safe and drive careful on these stormy condition. You can blame the storms on me as I shined up my coach for the drive there tomorrow. Mother nature wins another one.- 15 replies

Wow Khuskeysr what a different 6 years make. If you click my pic the one I have is covered with metal and painted to match at the roofline. It attached to the top edge of the slide with a four bolts near the front and rear. http://www.carefreeofcolorado.com/carefree/products?action=product&productid=46&categoryid=30 I found one mis drilled hole on the other side of coach filled with clear silicone. I never saw it till I hand waxed it because it up high near one of the awnings. Must of been like that since new but I will never know.
-
Are you replacing the whole awning or just the fabric? I had fabric replaced on one slide and one end slides in a channel on the roof and the other attached to the reel thats on the slide. http://www.rvworkshop.com/Slide-out-awning-replacement-fabric link

Most of the older Jeeps you put the transfer case in neutral and the automatic transmission in park. To unlock the steering is one click clockwise with the ignition off. There has been problems with some newer Jeeps as misprogrammed software for transfer case.

I have the power probe kit and I could test end to end with it. Plug into any 12/24 volt power source and with 50+ feet of leads all wires can be checked end to end whatever value it should supply. If the module is good and the cluster is good then I suspect a mouse in hidden area chew wires. http://www.powerprobe.com/webstore/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=205 I almost forgot, it has transmitter and remote for impossible jobs. No shop should be without this kit.
