pop, mine is just big enough to feed the Phantoms. Cost $27 at NAPA. I had it hard wired. My engine batteries are fine for 2 or 3 days of camping..so I don't connect the charger, all 10 batteries are AGM's. I use the same charger on my HD Classic Cruiser.

Oh, well above my pay grade! I got yo remember, every thing elect has changed in the past 8 years!!!

On my trip to Canada this Summer, with 23 other coaches, a lady had the WB View, pulling a Jeep Rubicon 4 door, 4,700+#, no problem. M&G brake, 10,000# Blue Ox! We covered all the Maritime Province's, 4,000+ miles in 61 days, she lives in Oregon. She had to show the weight paper work to the Wagon Master, before we left Montreal. Brett, your right. A lot also depends on how many are traveling in unit.

Nothing unusual about start batteries not getting charged when connected to shore power. I have a trickle charger on mine & plug it into coach in bay...inconvenient, but...Kay is on the right track..fuse or no fuel.

I would not recommend a dolly! You are well within the 5,000# using the 4 wheel down approach...the weight of the hitch is already accounted for, so the only thing your adding is the weight of the towbar! Also, the rear axle has a stamp on it, with the weight rating...that's why WB would not comment... With a car at 3,000# & a dolly at 800+# & tongue weight...you'll be close to the GMC and a lot of hassle in driving & where to put dolly when not in use.

What kind of batteries do you have, acid or AGM? If acid, are they full? How old are they? Before you disconnect the starter battery/batteries and house batteries, take pictures of how they are connected, for every wire you disconnect, take a picture!

I'm having mine removed, then the top and bottom re painted, & clear coated. Estimate = $6,400. Other body work and paint done for $2,700. Having coach re modeled...will be done by next Feb. about 70% so far has been covered by ins. including my front & all body work.

I have M&G for toad brakes, Linda has AF 1, can I tow hers as set up?
-
Have you tried starting Generator or used the button to allow a start by using house batteries? That button or switch normally is on left side of steering colum on dash.

Ray, how is your DW ? Any improvement?

A photo was taken of the truck & trailer, crossing into Mexico at Del Rio. Truck is or was a silver chevy 2500, photo is also of driver / perp! I suspect that by now, trailer is another color with Mex Tags and same with truck...perp could be anywhere in N. America! He is not Mexican. Go to KHOU. Houston.
-
I think the green is trailer lights/brake.

Love the colors! On the Forum, look for a post by IanBullock. Send him a Personal Message, before he retired he lived in Ontario, now he's in Ottawa.

Since we tow different weights, we find it easier to carry same PSI all the way around. It covers the difference between a Ford Expedition EL and a Jeep 2 door Wrangler. If you want less weight on 6, go with 90+10 for safety. I carry a pot air compressor in my bay, 150 psi set at 115 psi. Seldom have to use it...we fill up at the ranch, using a 225 psi compressor. Overkill for tires, but great for power washing all the buildings and equipment. Most any Truck Stops will have air.

Very nice and I like mid entry!!!

dorite. Welcome to the Forum. The 2018, yes! 2019, don't know...I would call Jeep and ask about DK4...could not find on Internet. One reason of many, why I have a Wrangler. Been looking at Unlimited and Gladiator 4x4!

Bill, you'll have to ask the Convention Committee. I suspect that they have (I hope) a plan B & C. I'm sure that a lot of members, have made a lot of plans and reservations, so they need to be notified asap...I canceled a week in a hard to get space in the Woodstock area, charged me $25!

Welcome. I have a AC Tradition 45', run BF Goodrich 315/80/22.5, at 115 psi & that includes an extra 10 psi for my weight. Every 2 years, I remove everything out of bays, then put back those items that we have used during the past 2 years. The items that stays out, we weigh and subtract from coach weight. Same with all can goods & clothing in coach! We still have 3 houses between us, so we are not full time.

Sanitizing Water And Holding Tank With Vinegar
manholt replied to tiffinphaeton's topic in Water and Holding Tanks
When I lived full time on Galveston Island, TX. I sanitized the City water that went into coach. The water comes from a city on the mainland and then it's pumped to the island via pipe that was laid down, on bottom of the ship channel in 1882!! I don't trust it, anymore than I trust the well water we have at the ranch...we treat it, but. I would not trust it in Flint, MI, either! It's amazing how fast some, backpedal, when txtiger came on! What concerns me, is not the fresh water tank, but the water lines in coach and the inside of hose, that delivers the water! -
Padre Island, there's north & south...they where on the north end, interesting as there are many houses there...No camping on beach that we know off, except for the pass! It is no short drive from there to border!
