manholt replied to aztec7fan's topic in General Discussion
WOW! They won't be found any time soon...Last Tuesday, probably outside the US by now! Missing any salesmen? Carl -
roswald. Welcome to the Forum! Weight in your coach could be an issue. What is your engine and chassis? Carl

Tag Axle and Ride Comfort on Different Motorhome Lengths
manholt replied to manholt's topic in Type A motorhomes
FIVE. Steering tags have been around for a long, long time...just like lifting tags. I'm guessing 20+ years! -
FIVE. Not lately, I have had all I want from AC...I needed a bay door for my coach, was told they would ship the one I needed in 3 days, told them where to ship it, Oh, your not at AC in Texas? No. "I just remembered it's on back order, be approximately 40 business days"...My door is currently in San Antonio being duplicated, be back on coach Tuesday! I'm not brand oriented... I will not re new my ACC, and I will not buy another AC. I don't have the time left to play games...Back order, engine battery compartment bay door on a 2010, 45 foot Tradition? BS! Carl

pj, there are a lot of people who work in your field, all over the US, some have coaches and tow, others tow a fithwheel or trailer. Matter of taste! Your good to go, as for hook up and off, once you have done it a couple of times...5 minutes! Since I travel alone, takes me about 2 min to unhook and 5 to hook up! Enjoy your freedom.. Carl

Blake. Got your coach sitting 25' feet away from mine...nice ride, no wonder trucks don't move you! Got a 42' Dynasty right behind you, also 2005. In front of me is a 1989 Eagle Custom Coach, belongs to owner of TCC, took me inside..WOW! All Electric, re done last year. Got a 2006 Prevost by Liberty, behind me...Lady from Fredericksburg, TX. owns and drives it. She does Peaches...duh. Over in Cabinet shop, there are 9 different brands, from 1989 to 2006 all getting remodeling done, then custom paint jobs! Average cost $85K. That really got me thinking! Carl

I take it your South of the Honey store?

Battery voltage is 12.9 at batteries...inverter/converter is doing it's job (both of them). Rich, that is way beyond my feeble capabilities...I'll get the tech and look over his shoulder! I do want to learn... Joe, there is a Forum member here, he will send you a PM...give you something to wrap your brain around! Carl

Herman. Someone at the OK. rally, put a hold on it. It's still under Pending...the other thing is that it has 8,300+ hours on the generator and it needs a complete over haul at 10,000 hours max. I have been thru every coach there, and I have a height problem, I don't feel like stooping over to move around...remember, I'm close to 6' 8"! There is only one there, that I may look at again...I'm in no rush.

Mike. Can you handle a foot or more of rain in a 24 to 30 hour period? With out flooding yourself? Carl
-
OK. I have blinking touch pads again! My batteries are good, set to AGM, currently on 50A shore. Yes, the Tech is next door, but I need to know what to do when I'm the only tech around...this has been an on/off problem since I bought the coach in 2013. The AC Factory Techs looked at it in pre-rally to Redmond, OR, 2014 and could not find anything! Any one have a thought? Carl
-
Joe. If you go by his "Handle", you just lost the bet.. 96' Beaver Monteray! That would be copper. Carl
-
Got a little carried away! Or wishful thinking...I'm surrounded by them!
-
Monaco Dynasty, pre 2006, Foretravel, pre 2004, Country coach, pre 2005, Holiday Rambler, pre 2005, Safari, pre 2005, Trek, pre 2005, Blue Bird any year, Prevost pre 2000 and there are a lot more out there! Carl
-
Can't argue logic...if your looking for other places, sell the coach and go by car! The biggest freedom we have as owners of a RV, is that if you don't like your neighbors or surroundings get boring...un hook and move! Carl

4fmcalogin. Welcome to the Forum! Any photos? Carl

The Good Lord Bless you!

Byron. I think the caster change was fairly recent... Carl
-
Since 2003, Subaru has changed the caster and chamber on all their models...so, per Remco, they are not towable! The only exception is the Outback, it can be flat towed. Carl

Big Mike, you're liable to get a bunch of folks! That's very nice of you, to do that. Thankfully this one ain't heading for Texas, I sure do feel for all the folks that are liable to get the effects of Matthews.. Carl

Deen. You have my deepest sympathy! Been there and all I can say, it takes time, lots of time. Having the grandson, should help! I have been Class A coaches, since 1967, Charter GS Life, Escapees 201703, NRA Life, FMCA gets complicated because my DW kept her name and I traveled a lot, so she paid the bills...F 6328, mine is F 342963, not that it really matters. Send me a PM or check my profile for my mail add. anytime you need to talk! Carl -
TheKassman. 35' sleeps 4, R-Vision dropped the Class A line in 09' last coach built was 08...now they make trailers. There's one 05' for sale at PPL, $22,500. They where a good entry level coach, but like most manufacturers, got caught in the big Bank bang in 08'! Sorry, don't recall anymore. you can Google them. Carl

Tag Axle and Ride Comfort on Different Motorhome Lengths
manholt replied to manholt's topic in Type A motorhomes
I can dump my tag air, but no lift. Schnautz. ObedB is another "old" retired Trucker on this forum! Blake. Is that the front or back of a dog? I'm guessing standard poodle, looking for a post to mark.. Carl -
427600. I towed a 2007 Chevy 2500 Silverado. 4x4, Duramax with Allison for 18 months all over the US and had no problem with it. I pulled it with a Allegro Bus 36' DP 2011, Blue Ox 10K, Brake master, Blue Ox base plate! Carl
