Benefits Of Tow Dolly Over 4 Tires On The Ground?
manholt replied to bdensford's topic in Toads-Towed Behind Motorhome
Since you first joined the Forum, I thought your 83' CJ-7 was your toad ! Why else have it in your profile? Carl -
Mike. Sorry it did not work out for both of you! Best wishes on future... Carl

Ha. I'm in Ruidoso, NM for same reason! Had 2in. off dime size hail yesterday...thankfully no damage to coach, but there is nothing but bare limbs on tree next to me! I'm fast becoming a "tree hugger"! Happy you found the problem and to answer your question, it's located in center front or side off overflow tank. Enjoy the Mountains! Carl

Not offend, maybe once every 2 years, I find myself in the situation that I don't have a campground to stay in! If the only spot available is a Truck Stop, then I park as far away from the trucks as possible, I run the generator no matter the outside temperature...the trucks make enough noise and they don't care about me, unless I'm taking up their space. I don't care if it's Flying J, Love's or a Shell station. TS is TS to me! I would prefer a rest area for 4 hours and move to another for 4 more....but if you don't come early, you can't find a place that does not have wall to wall trucks!

Bill. I looked at original last Friday and saw no link, it did not show on your last mail either. I don't understand.

If they did not throw a tomato or raw egg at you...then they liked it! I know how car folks, like boat folks, can be a little aloof sometimes....I don't seal with them and their only 10% of the bunch anyway! I think you would go over real good, with 90%, the folks I have seen at seminars in FMCA want to learn...if they knew it, they would not be there! Read all of J's posts on the subject. When I hear of paint or clear anything in a spray can. I automatically think of lawn furniture or arts and crafts...not a Class A DP...

Another Toad. 2016 Grand Cherokee or 2016 F-150?
manholt replied to blakeloke's topic in Toads-Towed Behind Motorhome
The Jeep Cherokee has or had the "Death Wobble". The Grand Cherokee had issues between 08-14. Don't know if that has been fixed. Check the 16' towable guide at FMCA.com Did you try the Jeep unlimited? That you can tow all day long! Carl -
I have had a lot of Toyotas, the TRD models, no problem, Tacoma plain jane...don't know. Call Toyota, they seem to change year after year. Or if you are a FMCA member then go to FMCA. com and check the 16' towable guide.

Isn't that house paint?

AC unit was never an issue before they put in artificial celling's and duct's. We pulled and washed the filter every month, so if it felt loose I just tighten it up! Now, losing a showed that was another issue and happened more than once!

ALFA was started and built by the Son, of the owner off Fleetwood. When his father died, everything when Bankrupt, not because of the sub-prime Bank problem, but because of California Death Tax, he had no will (I will live forever) and probate court wanted $86 million ! ALFA folded, because of slumping sales over the previous years, so the son just shut it down! Carl

Gc's, Since the ALFA was built in California as a Division of Fleetwood, I would call them and perhaps they could still recommend someone....it would not hurt. I forgot what chassis your on, but call them with your VIN# and FIN# at hand.

With just me in here, yes. Have done 10 days, several times. I have a hunting/fishing camp on a friends property in LA., it's 1.6 miles from the house, took 10 months to build it. I could only get within .3 miles, due to deep rutted dirt road. No H/Up's....now the whole 1.6 miles is paved and I have a 200' x 300' parking slab with full H/Up's and cable. The camp is on beams, 20' high, 1280 sq. ft. Main cooking area is on a cement slab under house and a covered slab next to it,...Larry and his family use it also.

Lyle. Do you know where Rocky Point, Mexico is? I watched as they did a whole 42' Fifth Wheel...my best friends, 2 years ago...it's amazing, $800 US. They have a lot off shops down there and stiff competition. Google it if you don't know where it's at. about 4 hrs. due south on 85 from Phoenix. 84km from border...very safe. Puerto Ponesco, on the Sea of Cortez! I'll be there after the Winter FMCA rally in March! Carl

2 separate inverter/chargers, both charge 4 house batteries and one also does engine when on inverter and 50A HU or 20A in garage! Both have charge on/off and inverter on/off. When coach is stored and on 20A, I shut everything off except refrigerator, then put one on inverter and 5A charge and one on 5A charge. That's why it's a mystery to me, why so much battery for Fridge? Run a Onan Diesel 10KW gen. 150 fuel.
