FIVE. I stay on 63/64 cruise control. My mpg goes down when I'm at less than 63 and more than 67....70-75, I would be filling up every 375 to 425 miles. 450-470 miles=72 gal. I can go 800+ but then I get real close to the Generator shut off line...in late fall, winter and early spring, when I don't run Gen...900+ max. Most I have ever put in was 122.3 gal.

Routine Maintenance Suggestions for Houston Area
manholt replied to fagnaml's topic in Type A motorhomes
Know the place. Mike is in Ohio and may or may not buy the coach...so, anything in Texas does not apply, until he takes a trip here, if he gets a DP. My guess is that he is concerned about the cost of maintaining and feeding before he buys the horse. -
Call FMCA and find out if they have a phone # for the Volunteers. Explain your situation, they don't open until the 3rd and am sure they will find some thing for you to do! Also, by calling the convention, they will hold your space for you! Good luck on repairs... Carl

Ah, yes! I forgot, when there is a convention, nobody is taking care of the FMCA computer for a week. Therefor we get double postings and other strange things! Wayne. Your answer about money is the reason why I'm reluctant to bring up the obvious! You are right in saying that the cost is no guarantee that you will not break down somewhere sometime....Million dollar coach just don't travel the way we do, they are a Winter home on wheels and most owners have 2 homes...one, generally, where they come from to live and use 5 months a year and the other for 5 months a year. Most don't bother with a Toad, need car, rent one. They have the cars and trucks at both homes! They also travel with clubs, like Liberty or Marathon or Foretravel owners Club. Also, FMCA Custom Coach Club and the Bus Nut's. Most of these clubs have Tech's and parts Van with them, so a break down, is more comfortable, than ours! Carl

Mike. You can't go by the price of service in Texas and say it's the same in Ohio...guessing it's higher where your at. Since Indiana is your next door neighbor and 90% of all RV's are now made there, that's the place to shop around for service, it's a hit and miss thing. If you buy this coach and you have the time, drive it to Red Bay, AL. Home of Tiffin and have them go thru the coach...it would also serve as a shake down trip and you could have anything that may not work be fixed at factory! -
Box with Spray Canister in Engine Compartment - What Is It?

I should have said Wild Bill. Did not mean you Bill....too many Bills! Sorry for confusion! Also, it should read, one hand....the other always has a beer in it (his trademark). -
If it is in rear and in ground (first time for everything). then it should be right below the surface where it enters. If all else fails, then go to the City plumbing inspectors office and have them look it up! I did that for my house, I'm second owner, they asked me why I wanted it..."Your not open after 5pm and weekends", cost me $3 for 3 pages. Did the same for Electric, Same question, answer, cost.
-
Los5saint. Goggle Remco, then ask them if your 97' can be towed...what they answer is golden!
-
That would not be a good place to have a built in BBQ! LOL...slide out trays are inexpensive, I had one made to size for a Colorado P/U bed with glides it was less than $500 installed. Dealer will charge $1,500+!
-
Joe. If your on city sewer, you should have a clean out port on your line..mine is just outside garage, it comes out from wall and drops into ground, there is a screw in access 4". Yours might be on side of house...all lines have joined into a 6".

RV Stops On Ohio Turnpike If Traveling Through

With 15' between RV's, guess they don't count Tow's or Toad's! -
All coaches have laminated roofs ... it's what the last cover that's important.
-
Harry. What happened to the Newmar Canyon Star? You said you wanted a quality coach...your not going to get that in a CC by Coachman aka Forest River!

Caveat: Over 40' is not allowed.... -
I miss having a dog around. It's a small price to pay to get a little chilly or wet, feed it and give water, for unconditional love! Cats, they are fine when they belong to someone else! Oh, well, nice to know there is something for everyone out there.

Wayne. Your just bound and determined that the 08' POS, is not going to get the better of you! I would have gotten rid of it a long time ago. I don't beat myself up and hate stress! Really sad that your having that kind off major problems with it...my Powergear is acting up also and as soon as I get the electrical problems fixed...today, I will go thru the long process of re-zero my computer...right now it thinks that flat is a twist on Jacks or air! That might be your problem also....WildBill has a step by step write up under leveling on this Forum and I have the Installation manual.

Joe, that's because Bill knows Blake, he also only has on hand to work with! -
Took long enough.

We still don't know what the OP's is suppose to be! Only Cummins can tell the OP what it is to his engine....re read Brett.

harry, Goggle Coachman, the factory...do the same with Tiffin and Fleetwood. Fleetwood has DP Bounder, very popular. Expedition, also popular! Carl
