Wayne. You telling me you live on the wrong side of town? While your in WA. you should stop and see Huffy Puff. The weather promises to behave for the rest of the month! April is one off our 2 months a year with perfect weather! Carl

Newell still build mid entry, especially in their 38' and 40', very popular! Carl

One statement that makes no sense to me. "You want to stay in Luxury Private Campgrounds, because you have a Luxury 45 footer"! What does that have to do with the OP's question? FIVE, you're correct.....wondered about that statement also! It also, does not belong to OP's question! I have not had a problem financing anything as a retiree. I suggest, OP puts the question to their Banker or Broker! Carl

I don't know in what part of the country your at, but during the Summer, there are RV rallies everywhere. FMCA's next big one is August 3, in West Springfield, Mass. You can Google for Good Sam and Hershey. All 3 are great areas to visit and learn first hand what you want vs. what you need! Enjoy the next 22 months. Carl

Rewillia. I retired in Feb of 1985 at 42 years young! My first RV, was a class "A", 1967 Winnebago in 1967! $6,800 cash at the LA, CA. Auto show. As the years and different models of new and used Class "A" came my way, I have paid in 2 ways, both depended on what I made in interest vs. what the bank charged in interest! Taken enough out of Savings to buy and then, put up, for collateral (newer a house, land, boat or coach) a CD and let interest make payments or just pay cash! I worked as a consultant, therefore I could not prove continuity of income. Still can't! Lending institutions are happy if you can prove $3,333.03 per week ! They understand static, not $15,000 this month and $40,000 last month....I have no clue what my "Credit Score" is! Nor, do I care. Carl

Potluck Recipes Dishes You Enjoy While Traveling

Joe. That's a great idea, under the circumstances I'll send via email! Carl -
Wayne,, Herman. Totally agree with you! Carl

You're not alone...cars, boats, planes and RV depreciate! House appreciate. Your coach did not do anything different then mine in 2005-2013! A 05' Monaco Dynasty 42' DP, in 13' was worth about $80k.

Joe. What is a 5 ton porta power? Carl

MSRP in the Coach world is whatever a Newbie or a sucker will pay! I have always asked for and gotten 30-35% off MSRP! The bank is going to finance 80% of the new figure even though they know that the value of the coach will depreciate 30% off the buy number as soon as coach leaves dealership! Then in 2013 a dude comes along and wants the same numbers financed as it was new in 2005! Not going to happen, ever! Carl

Atlanta, Straight Thru Or Use The 285 Bypass
manholt replied to ropech's question in Destinations/Attractions
I was on the same insane Interstate. going over to I-20W, so I took the loop, not to bad, If I was going too Ashville, NC. then I would just miss downtown. In Texas, I always take the Loop, most are toll now so traffic is a little lighter! -
Roadmaster with base plate and cables $1,400 + brake system installed $ 1,400.

There are times, that it is important, to bring older treads forward and thank you Tom, for reminding us all why we are here! Happy Easter and future travels to all. Carl

Wayne. You forgot, brother Joe, now ex cop and full time, when in coach, gourmet chef and chief griller, who carries enough grilles etc to make Chef Bobby Flay jealous! I have no alarms, no unusual lights on coach. At home I have some motion detector lights, set at 5' above ground, also have 6 signs that my friend gave me, 2 different alarm company's, I got them side by side. The odds are in my favor that the Police and the Sheriff will not be on coffee break at the same time. lol. also they don't know if I'm hooked up or not! Priceless! They both patrol my subdivision day and night. We have way to many cops on west end of Island...one way in and 1 way off....some from the hood in Freeport tried to make it 2 ways....no, you can't drive across the Gulf of Mexico! Carl

Sorry about your disappointment. As I understand it, you paid? $200K in 2013 for a 2005 coach? Are you surprised that the lenders would not go $200K? If these numbers are correct then I would expect the lenders to go for $50-$75K. If you paid $200K then you bought a coach for $100,000 more than actual worth! There is little value for things like, "Like New" or "Immaculate". Also, 36,000 miles on now, a 11 year old coach, I would hate to see the seals, bushings, belts and every thing in engine that needs to be run in order to keep all the parts well lubed ! What the lenders would go with, was approximately 80% of Value per NADA in 2013...Normal. Carl

Yea. Your 43' Cardinal had a lot more livability area, than my 45'...I agree, it would be a tough call to downsize to a coach!

manholt replied to bizsmith@yahoo.com's topic in Water and Holding Tanks
Bill. I'm in wonderful TX.. 3" Sewer Hose Connection Not Lining Up With Hole In Floor
manholt replied to jleamont's topic in Water and Holding Tanks
Combination of both would work...rubber to protect hose and then metal. Thing is I hook up and dump as needed, 3 women in an RV have got to be a strain on any system, especially when there are not any water use rules! I take a 5 min. shower in coach and 10-30 in house, Joe told me, each woman avg. 15 min. 2 or more times a day! I don't even know why he has holding tanks!! Carl -

Wayne, This is a real tough question: "What is the requirements of a critter guard"? Well, Wayne, think it's sole function, is to keep critters out off coach ! Eeh? Carl -
Is Legal Documentation Required For Pets When Traveling?
manholt replied to RochelMontijano's topic in Pets
There is another case for documentation, if you, your children and your animal is here from another country, then the pet would have Quarantine papers and you would have a Visa! Carl
