  1. Very hard to beat a Road Master Chassis! Very nice looking coach...How are you carrying the golf cart?
  2. My lifted 2013 Jeep 2 door, has never had a wobble...I run 33.75 NITTO tires on 18" wheels while towing and NITTO 35/12.5/18 bead lock, when off road. I have a 3" lift. I do not know yet if I will have any issue with my 2020 Jeep Gladiator! We'll find out next week.
  3. He has a Safe T Steer on it, IS doubt it, AB's in rear only!
  4. Richard, The Lone Star Birds, was owners of Blue Bird Motorhomes...period. Blu Bird did not go out of business, they just decided to get out of the Motorhome side and go back to making Commercial Bus and school bus! Some of the members wanted to carry on with the chapter, I would be surprised if Ernie is no longer a member. Back in the day, every member of FMCA was proud of the coach they owned...so Chapters was formed on coach manufacturers...it still goes on today, one of the biggest Chapters today is Entegra. Some Chapters are regional, like Crusin Cajuns of La. it's based on their heritage, culture, food & music! We are members of CC. whiteeagle is correct...I was typing! 😁
  5. Bill, letting out half or more air in tires, only work if you have bead locks! I've been up 75 and had no problems in my AC Tradition after I got new shocks! I have the same harsh ride on the King Aire, new shocks are on the wish list, but backordered...like everything else! Same with my Fox 2.0 shocks for Jeep & hard top! 4-6 weeks! 🤬
  6. Since your coach started with out problem, I would be looking for mice droppings! 😁
  7. Welcome to th Forum! Are you a Commercial member of FMCA or is it a carry over # from something else? Nice looking SC!
  8. Once upon a time, a small group of Family's, with the same interests got together and formed, Family Motor Coach Association! Family=Mother, Father and kids! Motor Coach=Bus conversion! As time went by, FMCA grew exponentially bigger and bigger and went from Coast to Coast as more and more Motor Homes was being built by WB, Fleetwood, etc. To manage this influx FMCA came up with Areas and Chapters in each area! One of the oldest Chapters was/is Yankee Travelers, followed by The Bus Nuts...self explanatory what their name stood for! Like any organization, you need a President, VP, Secretary, Treasurer and Board of Directors and as the Club grew and most members belonged to one or more Chapters, we needed one voice to deliver to National, what the majority of the members of the Chapters wanted. Today they are National Directors. Somewhere along the line, FMCA Leaders have forgotten what Family and Motor Coach stand for! My take on this, our leaders in the past 10 years only care for the bottom line! Their Legacy! Richard, you and all others, who are not with a Chapter, have a voice! Send a letter to National, if they get enough of them, they got to do something! Sadly, when National send out to all members, they get back less than 6%...🤬
  9. RayIN. Yes, I run a lower tire pressure when I'm off roading in the desert and mountains. My Jeep tires hold 40 psi max cold, I run in the 12 psi to 20 psi depending on terrain! When I get to pavement, I air up to 35 hot.
  10. Ross, Tireman has on numerous posts! Since the invention of TPS and coaches running Radial Steel Belted tires, we know what caused all the blow outs on older models. In Texas, during summer, you do not want to run at max cold. My chart say's 115 psi front cold and 100 on rear drive and tag, cold. I use a 7% +/- during winter and no +, only - in Summer!
  11. Home built, looks like a late 50's pick up & a lot of rust. 😂
  12. Even a residential will open on rough roads, we have a French door and it came open Sunday, on I-10 in La, on way home! 🤬
  13. Mike, welcome to the Forum! Back in 2007 I got a 80 gallon diesel tank installed in my truck bed, with direct feed and used my main tank as my reserve...simple, but not cheap, I had an extra fuel gauge installed in cab and a rocker switch. I called 3 after market stores, before I found one that had experience with that set up! 2007 Silverado 4 x 4, Duramax 2500! They also put a Ranch guard bumper on so I could tow it. Get a locking gas cap!
  14. Don, sorry, but I have not had a Norcold since 1992! On all my coaches from 1967 to 1992, it was 3 way Dometic! RayIN has more experience than I on your system!
  15. Just be aware of your width and length, know how high it is above your head and it will take longer to stop than your car...other than that, it's no big deal. Most Cruise America are rented by people like you, zero experience! I would take one out to a large parking lot & practice backing up and stopping! Knowing how to set up for camping and your power system when your hooked up to park electric is golden! Think of the "Others as, they all want one, but can't.."! As soon as you both are comfortable with it, about 3 days, watch out for your in-laws, they'll all want to go with you! 😂🤬 Both of us drive and set up our 47 foot 4 inch long and 13 foot 4 inch high coach! I'm 77, wife is 72 & we did not ever spend six weeks in any driving school. We do Cruise Control at 63 to 65 mph and enjoy the scenery! More than 2 lane road, we pick the center lane or follow the truckers! Good Luck and enjoy RV'g!
  16. Clean the seals or replace the seals! Velcro the handles shut.
  17. For about 18 years, I ran my coach tires at sidewall PSI, weight of coach for travel? Who knew? Weight and Temp was not part of the equation, since we all ran non steel belted, Radial tires! TPM did not exist, so at every fuel stop/rest area, we would "Thump" the inner drive tires! I still do that once a day! I ran Kelly's back then!
  18. Sounds to me, the OP had the work done, then contacted Cornerstone...any extended warranty company, will want to be contacted before, any work is done by a known shop! I had 5 claims with Cornerstone in 6 years, biggest one was a $110,000, blown 1,000 hp engine...each time the shop called for warranty an agent would come and verify, then the work began!
  19. Bill, you have a fancy coach, just older. CK out the price of a new MA...
  20. Bill, we'll be there the 2nd. We have had more than enough rice for a while! FIVE and Wayne, I'm glad your check was not cashed! We won every battle and lost the war! 🤬 Still are..sad. Since Linda is skipping a generation, tax reasons and other, somebody will be mad. I'm doing the same! 😂
  21. Texas Rangers (121) come from the DPS...cream of the crop!
  22. RayIN, you got a point, but a rougher ride!
  23. I agree with Richard and it can be a catch 22 question. If I have in the 30's temps and we're going to our other house in South Texas, I don't adjust my PSI, it's 20-30 degrees warmer where we go and it's a 5 hour trip. If we go the 250 miles north to Dallas, then I will add air! The caveat is how big & how much does your coach weigh for travel to begin with? Mine is over 64,000#...way more than Ross or Ray! Tires are also bigger, 365 front and the other 6 are 315's! Full fuel is 200 gallons...that's variable weight, but fresh water at 140 gallons is not.
  24. I have to agree with Bill, in regards to the truck and garage! In regards to truck under cover, do you have enough property for a taller car port off the garage? We live on a ranch in Texas, so it's hard for me to understand...even my house (Sold) on an Island in Texas, the garage held 4 vehicles and 2 Harley's, with 13' 6" celling!
