  1. I avoid NYC at all cost, won't even fly in anymore! However, we found that as you go further north of the Hudson River in NY, it gets a lot better and is a beautiful State. Last summer we stayed at 2 KOA's on our way to Montreal, Ca. Woodstock for 3 days and Lake Placid for 3 days! 😀
  2. Kay fully understand and did the same until 5 years ago...times are changing rapidly, exponentially for the worst...any LEO will agree! Please bring back the mental hospitals!!
  3. We will be right behind you! We're due in Tucson the 24th! We got the packet in the mail, so no will call this time!!! LOL
  4. Back in the 1960;s & 70's, before Jacks...thanks for bad memories! 😂
  5. I use vinegar to clean windows, make BBQ sauce, with EVOO for salad and clean my coffee maker! RayIn, Kay uses 10% HP...I either can't find it or maybe I need a license.
  6. The time in March that we travel to AZ., we are 90% guaranteed to stay over in Deming, NM due to blowing dust storm! Then 50 miles further west, you can run into snow, sleet and combo, between Lordsburg, NM and Benson, AZ.
  7. 1. If you know ahead of time where you will enter and exit NY, within a hundred miles+/- rent a lock box & leave gun/ammo! 2. Leave it at home. 3. Full Timer. Leave it in a lock box in the area you spend most time! It's easy to find lock box for rent. Mail Room, Train Station, around Air Ports, etc.
  8. Yep! We have 3 water wells, 2 of them are artisan..sediment will come out of all. PVC & Poly lines do not rust. We do carry a soft water system in house and in coach, also sediment filters and a charcoal filter in drinking water taps! Only chloride we get is from the salt. I clean the whole coach system, fresh tank and hose with HP 3% twice a year...we are not dead, 53 years of coach ownership, the one listed below, is coach #18!
  9. It's only a 2 year old post, some folks here may take offends to your thought...we don't care or differentiate with what your coach is worth, age or type RV! Yes, most folks like Q, for me it's a ways to go, so we stay in Texas during winter..get's to cold at the ranch, we have another S&B in south Texas! Enjoy yourself & hope you make the Winter FMCA Rally in Tucson, in March...we'll be there!
  10. Will we hear back from OP? Like Puff, my old 30 A, ran 1 ac at a time. Way back in the 1960's & 70's, all we had was 15 A, in coach & Park & it ran a small roof AC...9,300 BTU..I think.
  11. We certainly will try! We leave today & will move in tomorrow, then 2 days of walk thru & will be home again Sunday! A 1,000 mile trip the 4th of March, then Tucson, AZ!
  12. So I also found out, when I went and talked about why I had $1,051.58 in roaming charge from Canada! I was going to change, then they told me about why I should not, $51.58 a month pre-pay is a good thing! Linda has a totally different plan, but she needs 250 to 300 G a month for her research!
  13. That bit of information is good, but it invokes a lousy picture in my mind.. Ray, when are you getting the new coach?
  14. Kay, clapping after entertainment on Bora Bora Island 2012. Linda picked it, now she want's to go there! Grrrr.
  15. We did Mass Pike last summer, coming out of Canada...Insanity for one exit, then took the long way around. We got on no Toll road going back to Texas..A lot more scenic and we still got back in 3 easy days!😂
  16. RayIn, read it..unreal. Wayne, I feel your pain! 50 A. and water hose at Alamo RV Park, San Antonio, Texas 2012. Drug it all for 40 miles to next Rally..$450 replacement + Mobil RV. Not a good day!
  17. Also, please let us know what leveling system you have. Attwood, Power Gear Jacks only or Air/Jacks, HWH ?
  18. MNWilliams. Welcome to the Forum! When your coach is in your garage, does the tires sit on wood or cardboard? We use that as a moisture barrier, we also put down our jacks to take weight of tires and air bags. As Rich said...he beat me, while I was Typing. IMHO. I would get 6 Toyos or Continental tires, since you will be riding on them for 8,000+ miles this Summer! Peace of mind and no stress is golden! Happy Tales & Trails!
  19. That also goes for Engine number...VIN is on insurance card.
  20. f442485. Weigh your coach, could be you have to much air in tires for load...that will give you a harsher ride!
  21. Yep! 1964, Desoto, TX. Then again on a big Texas map in 1976...Lake LBJ, Texas! 😂
  22. ST230's is what I have now, all 315. Love them. Bill, as I'm sure you noticed, we changed my Avatar..no problem. The signature? Big problem!
  23. That's a first for me! I missed most of the 70's, I had coaches, but was only able to use them for 45 days every 367 days away. 1968 to 1980 I worked in Europe and middle east. Back then, if you worked 1 year + a day outside US it was Tax Free...POTUS Carter changed that. 😡 I'm now off the Box!
  24. Would help to know Make, Model & Year of coach!
