Consider making major purchases prior to retirement, banks like that better. I retired from the Army in 1992 then 2 more times from major electrical mfgrs in 2000 at age 59. DW took medical retirement in 2001. We kept busy caring for our small ranch and our house, and of course our RV's. Today I really would not know what to do, as IMO we are witnessing the beginning of WWIII.

Today an old reliable brand has been redesigned and vastly improved, Pressure Pro is what I have in mind when I need to replace my present system.

Operate Residential Refrigerator While in Storage??
rayin replied to fagnaml's topic in Systems and Appliances
I gotta throw the BS flag on that call. We are now using a Frigidare brand (approx. 40 years old) in the basement of our house that had sat unplugged for close to 10 years. Wonder how a new refrigerator still carries a warranty after it was run-tested at the factory, then was unused until it was purchased at retail?? -
Herman the highest the thermometer got here today was only 88°F. Back home it's 34° and down-pouring rain.:(

OK thanks for that Wayne. I was remembering from over 30 years ago.

Then there is the man on irv2.com who has spent over $60K out of pocket for his 650HP ISX.

Reversed wiring blew a fuse somewhere between inverter/charger and battery bank.

I think Dish wifi depends on a phone line for upload.

"Many cities are in the process of installing 5G networks now, this may lower tower signal strength and capacity during the work of installing their 5G network" That was broadcast on local TV news here in S. FL. in Dec. -

My wife has a Verizon prepaid phone, we just bought a Verizon prepaid ( no charges for stopping/starting as needed) hotspot for $79 + $40/month for 100gb per month (current special offer) Just sayin. -
Yes, when the transient voltage suppressor (huge diode that gets very hot during operation) fails many components are/can be affected. Mine failed July 2020, causing the fuel distributor module on the main pump to fail. The final bill was $5K+ and it took Cummins Great Plains 2 weeks to obtain a new fuel distributor module, when it normally was received overnight. I was quoted $10K for a rebuilt main pump instead of only replacing the distributor module.

Who, What, When, Where or Just Lets Talk
rayin replied to hermanmullins's topic in General Discussion
Just now read this. Speaking from experience, attack that PT with vigor! I didn't and lost the use of my shoulder when working overhead, I've never regained the strength in that shoulder because I was a slacker during PT. -

Feb. 5 it was 39° here in Ft. Myers Beach (2 miles from Gulf water). By comparison, it was 9° with 10' snow N ice at home. re: groundhog is far too greasy to eat unless you boil it first, then remove it from that water and bake it. Same for raccoon, duck, opossum, beaver, and several other animals. Thankfully those days are now a faint memory. -
Our MH has a huge wing mounted atop the rear cap by OEM design, the rear cap stays surprisingly clean all the time. I have determined the rear flap only helps kick up stones when driving crushed stone roads.

As previously replied, local diesel fuel is blended for the coming season, but JIC I carry a quart of Power Service 9.1.1 in the red bottle during extremely cold weather. I have never experienced "gelled fuel" in my lifetime and I'm 79. I always refuel at 1/2 tank to avoid arriving in cold weather with totally untreated fuel.

Forecast is 39° Sunday morning here in Ft. Myers, FL. Oddly enough, local farmers are hoping for strong wind. They say it will prevent the incoming cold air from settling to the ground and ruining crops.

MIne was behind the dash panel, i had to remove the dash cover to locate an in-line fuse.

Another suggestion; wait 30 seconds after the store light illuminates before shutting off the jack panel, this allows time for the springs to fully-retract the jacks after the reed switch signals the jack is retracted.

The first step is to read the owners manual of the actual Jeep you plan to tow, it will have a section named "recreational towing": that is the only completely accurate information. The brand of tow-bar is immaterial, what is important is the maximum towing weight rating.

Kay, that's far too technical for me, all I know my lights work when I throw the switch.

Original MH florescent lights are 12V, and they are available for purchase; HOWEVER, the actual bulbs don't care about whether they are operating on 120VAC or 12VDC. I have 8 120VAC LED replacement bulbs from WalMart operating in my MH now. I've never seen 120VAC OEM lighting in an RV, it's all been 12VDC. Otherwise extended dry camping would be a pain in the keester. On a side note, many 120VAC televisions have a converter inside because it operates on 12V. I know of at least one person who has rewired a new TV to put in his RV to run on 12VDC by bypassing the built-in converter.

Wildbilll that is a wild machine, sounds like it was rushed through the build instead of listening to the engineers. Supposed to be 86°F here at Ft. Myers Beach today. but a cold front is coming through Tuesday that will lower the temp to 73° for 3 days.

However 12V is controlled by fuses or resettable breakers.

Are you sure it's leaking internally, or is the equalizing cylinder faulty or out of time? HWH FAQ information states to avoid stopping midway and reverse directions, complete movement before reversing directions to prevent an out of time condition.
