  1. Hello Todd: During the Forums Meet & Greet, I mentioned that I would like to see the Mark All Read brought back. Brett stated that it is in the upper right corner. Not true. In each sub category such as Motorhomes and Electrical, there is a Mark All Read button. But only the items in that sub category are marked read. The other sub category is unchanged. I have to enter each sub category, and Mark All Read even though I did not want to read that category. I have tried Google Chrome and Firefox with the same results. Another user the next day told me that he has the same problem. Ross Boyer
  2. Once I have read forums that are of interest to me, how do I mark all forums read without doing each forum individually?
  3. Both are good benefits, but many times I have heard members that did not know the difference. Therefore, I posted the clarification so that other members that read this thread that do not know the difference will not get confused by a post that was not consistent with the original topic.
  4. To avoid confusion, FMCAssist is not FMCA Roadside Assistance. FMCAssist is repatriation for medical situations which is included in you dues. FMCA Roadside Assistance is for your motor vehicles, and there is a yearly charge. This topic started for Roadside not repatriation assistance.
  5. I have used Blue Beacon twice. Check their web site carefully. There are options that you do not want and some that you do. The Rain X is a good option. One that I remember that you do not want is an acid wash of your wheels which would discolor aluminum.
  6. i leave ours down more than 6 months at a time. Depending on the type of jacks you have, you may want to wipe them down with hydraulic or transmission fluid to clean them before retracting, but other than that there should be no problems leaving them extended.
  7. Usually the max speed to tow is based on the drive train limit the manufacturer recommends.
  8. The current and past couple of issues of Family Motor Coaching magazine has present great detail about the convention. I am volunteering there, hope you will attend.
  9. FMCAssist is worldwide. Only return of motorhomes is limited to Canada, Mexico and USA to a max of $5,000.
  10. Bill Adams: You might want to consider keeping your membership active to be able to maintain the FMCAssist travel assist benefit to return you or your remains in a medical emergency. Similar insurance would cast you about $105-$115/per year; therefore, the dues are worth the yearly amount.
  11. We use a water softener. Have not thought we needed a reverse osmosis system. My main concern is that system uses between 6 & 10 times the water usage. Also the flow rate of a system probably not enough to handle a whole coach system. Usually they are for drinking water and ice makers.
  12. Yes, you can get glue on at most auto parts stores.
  13. If you decide to use various weather apps on your phone, possibly you might choose a indoor outdoor thermometer. Ours will handel 8 remotes, but we use only 3. One under the hood where it gets good air flow for the outside temp. 2nd is in the water bay to be sure we don't freeze even though there is a light aimed at the water pump on a temperature sensor to turn it on. 3rd is in the refrigerator to keep an eye on any changes in there.
  14. Rockler Woodworking stores has a variety. You can look on line, request a catalog or visit one if their stores. They have stores in many major cities across he country. I know Indianapolis and Phoenix have Rocklers. Call 800-279-4441 to find a location close to you. You might try custom cabinet shops and ask where they get custom sizes.
  15. Try, with the jacks up, top off the reservoir with transmission fluid. There is a sensor in the top of the tank that tells the system that the jacks are retracted by the level of fluid.
  16. I was asked how I measured db. Per instructions from Willson, I used my iPhone.
  17. I recently purchased a Wilson cell booster. I only got 4db improvement. Called Wilson, and I was told that if the signal isn't 85db or less that their boosters would not help. Mine was -118db. Remember that the smaller the number, the stronger the signal. Therefore, when traveling, at some locations you may or may not have any booster be effective.
  18. I don't remember the name or location in southern Ca, but Google Henderson. There are as I remember 2 authorized locations outside of the home locations, one in Illinois and one in southern CA. I had a solid front axle front end, they did a perfect job. The tech drove our motor home 4 times before he was satisfied. Sorry I cannot give you more information than that, it was about 10 years ago on our previous motor home.
  19. But all that said, we need to have much, much better quality for the $100's of thousands that we pay for even an entry level Class A motorhome. The auto manufactures did it due to foreign competition. I guess we will have to wait for China and Japan to make Quality Motorhomes.
  20. While Delorme has not had a 2016 upgrade, Street Atlas 2015 is still available. I sit in my easy chair at home and plan our whole trip including where we will stop for fuel and possible restaurants. The laptop sits well on the dash, plug in the GPS that comes with the software, and plug into the outlet just below the laptop that runs on the invertor. I need the invertor to be on anyway due to traveling with a residential refrigerator. Directions are at the bottom of the screen in 1/2 inch high letters. When it states that I have 130 miles to the next turn, I don't worry about what is next for about 2 hours. There is a learning curve as there is with any new system.
  21. Mine were 16x16, but I think it comes in 12x12, also. I was planning on laying on the diagonal, but found I would have used about 20% more due to waste. The pattern I used is a lot easier to lay because you can lay a chalk line the full length and work from that line to the outer edges. Any imperfections that you may have will be harder to detect. Also, this is just one of 6 or 8 colors available. I am sure that there are other sites where the product is available, but you can contact Habegger Flooring, 260-724-2180, 1337 Village Green Drive, Decatur, IN 46733, or stop in and see them. Nice people.
  22. I was asked to post pictures our Villa Stone flooring. Floor 1 is at the driver seat where I cut the edge off two commercial hard rubber stair treads to make a surface that wasn't slick below my feet. The treads were installed with contact cement because the floor at this location is a steel plate. The color shift between Floor 1 and 2&3 is due to change in sunlight. Floor 1 is the closest to the true color. Floor 2 & 3 are of the rest of the floor. No tile was installed on the slide out or in the bedroom. Floor 4 just shows my installation of s Samsung RF197 residential refrigerator. I don't know how to rotate Floor 2,3,&4.
  23. If both valves are open on the inside shower or outside sprayer but the hand valve is closed on the head, the water will circulate on some systems causing the pump to recirculate, too.
