  1. Find the diameter and go to your local part house. I bought tips for both my Generator and my AquaHot at O'Reilly's Herman
  2. Jeff, I am sorry if you miss understood, but the ballot did go to all members. All member of FMCA had to opportunity to vote. So whose fault was it if they didn't vote? As far as I am concerned the people that had a feeling on the subject voted and those that didn't care did not. The membership has made the decision and I for one will live with the decision. I will just learn how the successfully park towables. Now let get on with making FMCA Better. Herman
  3. Yes, it is a small 3 amp maintainer charger. To use the block heater in my coach you must plug it in the outlet I have mentioned. The charger stays plugged, but not the heater, in all the time but is not on unless on shore power or the generator is running. Herman
  4. As Wayne said check the switch before and after to make sure you have power in and on the out side of the switch. Also check the switch for continuity. I had one of my scorches aka reading lights do the same thing. Thought I was going to have to replace both so they would match. The parts man at Bayou Outdoors RV in Shreveport looked at the socket and fixed the light. It is a 12 volt light and required a bulb with 2 pins and not just one. It seems that the connectors in the base had shifted and the pins would not make contact. He twisted the contact in the base til they would line up when the bulb was put in and turned in the connections. Works like a dream now. Herman
  5. At least we are off the Verizon/Sprint topic for a few days. But like MacArthur it to shall return. Herman
  6. Agree, my plug has a switch on dash, "Block Heater", that I leave on all the time. This leaves the plug hot when hooked to shore power or when the generator is on. Sorry I didn't explain enough. Herman
  7. Mikey, You may take it to Auto Zone, O'Reilly or your Ford dealer and have them read the codes for you. Herman
  8. FYI, If you might be traveling through Livingston Texas there is a fellow in the Escapees camp ground that weighs coaches. Sorry, I had his card but can't locate it now. You can google Escapees and they may have his contact information. You may also check with your Area Rallies to see if they will have a vendor weighing coaches at their Rally. Herman
  9. Darn Right. Chalk Boards, wooden pencils and fountain pins. Good enough for Franklin D Roosevelt, good enough for me. Sorry I may have to explain who FDR was. Herman
  10. Have been planning on going to HWH to have my leveling sensors adjusted. However thing just keep popping up that prevent the trip. Until then I will continue to use the "Bob Chalk" method to level. Bob has a Marathon MH with all the bells and whistles. He will sit and manually level his unit. he will get it where he feels it is right and Barbra, his much better half, will open the bath room door. When the door doesn't ghost (swing in or out when opened) he considers the coach level. It may not be scientific, but hay it works. Say no to swinging doors. Herman
  11. Richard, I know that you said that you didn't want to attach an awning to the coach for several reasons. That I understand. What I can't fathom is if you were able to get an awning made that would attach to a slide on the side of the coach, where would you store it. To be of any usable size it would need to be at least 10 feet long and extend at least the same. Then for any height, you would need for it to attach at least 8 to 9 feet above the ground. To put up an awning this size would require a minimum of 2 if not 3 people, a safe ladder (maybe 2) and storage for all. I will be willing to bet that if you were able to have such an awning and frame made you would only put it up once while traveling and it would be stored and never used again. So IMHO either bite the bullet and install a awning made for a motor home/TT or get a 10 X 10 or 12 X 12 popup tent and set it up and take it down and be able to store it in any of your bays. Herman
  12. Wayne, you need to get outside more. And a Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. Herman
  13. Thought I would ask the folks here if this is the best way to tow my Tracker? Sorry, I couldn't refuse sharing this in the towing section. Herman
  14. As Bill said you have on strange dump set up.Most systems have one outlet where the holding tank comes in one side and the gray water comes in the other side. When you dump you connect your sewer hose to the out let ant the other into the sewer. You then pull to holding tank valve handle and leave it open until the tank is empty and then close the valve. Then repeat the procedure with the gray tank. With a Macerator Pump the process is the same except it take much longer. Holding first then the gray. A picture of your setup would help. Herman
  15. Brett, I looked at the map and saw one of the most inspiring places I have been. It is the St. Joseph Apache Mission in Mescalero. It has a rich history and is a beautiful Mission. Herman
  16. Check your water level in your reservoir. The low water level alarm is the same as low air. I know from experience Herman
  17. West, I am sorry that you feel that way. I can assure you the FMCA is in no way trying to SCAM you. They are doing their dead level best to accommodate each and every member that is looking to take advantage of a very nice benefit. Have you contacted Cincinnati at 513-474-3622 and asked for help. There are some really nice folks that are more than willing to move mountains to help each and every member. Herman
  18. From looking at the picture he could have parked much further back, needed less hose and power cable. But then we can't see the whole picture. And we wouldn't have any humor in our day. As the ole radio announcers would say "Keep those cards and letters coming " and pictures to. Herman
  19. Billy Yes they said 24 to 48 hours, but remember there was a week end. And I am sure they are being bombarded with request and registrations, so again please be patient, you will be taken care of. Herman
  20. Although the solenoid was replaced less than a year ago they may have put in the wrong solenoid. They may have put in a momentary one rather than a continuous solenoid. Makes a world of difference. Herman
  21. tojomi, I had mine done 2 years ago. It is one job best left to the professionals. Yours is a side mounted unit. It has to come out from the bottom. and the coach must be raised high enough for it to be lowered out the bottom. I had mine done in Denton Texas at Inland Truck Parts. They did a great job. There is a company in Oregon called Source Engineering that will make you a new radiator, they have all part numbers, for around $4,000.00 plus freight. From all I had heard they do great work. Inland truck Parts removed mine sent it to Dallas where it was recored and put it back in with new clamps hoses and all the fluids for the same price. Good Luck. Herman
