Who, What, When, Where or Just Lets Talk
hermanmullins replied to hermanmullins's topic in General Discussion
Kay, Bill's SPELL CHECK has a mind of it's own. What Bill was referring to is the Rally at Coffee Creek RV Park in Santos, Texas that the South Texas Renegades Chapter is having there on March 12-14, 2020. And yes we will be going there as it is on our way to Tucson. Good and Active Chapter. Herman -

Our Holiday Travel Misadventure-- So Far
hermanmullins replied to huffypuff's topic in General Discussion
Puff, Congratulations on the new coach. My coach doesn't require DEF but I have seen lots of comments here on the Forum about Bulk DEF at stations. Most are not good and all recommend buying it in 2.5 gallon containers. I also understand it does have a shelf life, sorry I don't know how long. Again Congratulations. Herman -
Thanks Mark, I am not familiar with the Ford chassis but several on the Forum are. You should get some great help soon. Herman

I changed out my Nevercool for a residential unit about 4 year ago. I had the doors from the old unit all this time. About 5 months ago I cleaned out the shop and all 4 of the doors went to the dump. I would have been happy to give them to you. Sorry. Herman

Mark, Welcome to the Forum. We need a bit more information on your coach. Gas or diesel? I'm not sure which chassis you have. With this info you will get lots of suggestions. Herman

True they all must meet standards. However all standards have parameters. Some manufacturers will meet the highest standards while some will just barely meet the lowest. Everyone of us need to pick what meets their own needs. Toyo meets my needs in both quality and price. I have 8 on our coach.

Looks like a good Idea. Priced on ebay from $85 to $389.00. I would be looking at getting a set if I had jacks, I only have air leveling which works fine. Herman

Tiger, I have not heard of Snap Pads before. Could you send a picture of them? Herman

Just me. My coach came with 295/80R22.5 tires on it and it was set for the best steering and turning radius and I see no reason to vary from that. No cutting, grinding or adjusting needs to be done. I may be wrong but I trust that the engineer's at Roadmaster to know a lot more then I do. (well sometimes) Herman

WVCHOZON, Welcome to the Forum. I am assuming from your post that you are not a member of FMCA, we would love to have you join. Also that you are full timers and in search of a Mail Forwarding Service. Send an email to Dan Ball, Dan is the Director of Membership & Marketing for FMCA, he will be more than happy to tell you about the service. dball@fmca.com Not being a full timer, I can't be of much help with this but Dan will be very helpful. Would you like for me to send you an application to join FMCA? You may also go to FMCA.COM and click on Membership to find an Application. Herman

pjbrau, As Carl said, Welcome. Just wondering if you have a question. You only quoted two post but didn't ask or make a remark. Please let us know if you have an issue and maybe there is an answer out there. And again, Welcome Herman

Recommendations on RV Parks to stay at in Branson MO
hermanmullins replied to ianbullock's topic in Campgrounds
Breezy2, Welcome to the Forum. I think we stayed in Musicland about 18 years ago. Aren't the upper levels pullins and the lowest level is where they have the pull throughs? I just looked at the website and that was the place we stayed. When the gentleman directed us into to our spot the nose of our 28 foot coach was right on the edge of a steep drop off. We didn't have a tow vehicle at the time so we rented a car from a local place. Herman -
How about Hank williams, Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire, Garth Brooks, Merle Haggard, Marty Robbins, Charley Pride, Randy Travis, Barbara Mandrell, Kenny Rogers, Ray Price, Eddy Arnold, Tennessee Ernie Ford, Glen Campbell, and my all time favorite John Denver. All great in their own way and I can listen to them all day long. Herman

Most any that I can hear the word clearly. John Denver , Louie Armstrong, Raly Charles, The New Christy Minstrel, Willie Nelson, Barbara Streisand, and the list just keeps on going. Listen to this.Wings-I'mAlive!.pps Herman Wings-I'mAlive!.pps

My way is to remove all power (I don't like to be shocked), then on all connections, back off a bit then re-tighten each screw. Then turn the power back on. Just my way of doing it. Herman

d, As you said "IF" you decide to do it yourself then that would be good time to check several things. First look at the back of the panel and see if there are any signs of water. If so then go further and see if you can see any signs of a leak. If there is no signs on the back side of the panel then you are good to go. Another thought. If you have the panel down and get the fabric from Winnebago, why not take it to an auto upholstery and have them glue the new fabric on. They are experienced in headliners and know how to do it without wrinkles. Let us know how you make out. Herman

Joe you are right that is why I mentioned a trip to the factory. Richard's suggestion of using the 3m spray might work. However if it doesn't work it may prevent a proper repair later on. dbrown's problem is not one I would want to have. Good Luck d, herman

Towing an Equinox or Traverse
hermanmullins replied to jimbusby3's topic in Toads-Towed Behind Motorhome
Jim, Since you are talking about 2020 vehicles my suggestion would be to go take a look at the owners manuals for directions and then call the company tech departments. Also consult with tow bar manufacturer and brake manufacturer. Good luck, Herman -
In the second picture you can see an approx. 2" wide strip. There will be another one on the other side of the panel. They have to be removed to expose the screws or clips holding the panel up. I do not know how the strip is to be removed. A call to the manufacturer of your coach would be in order to find our how everything is secured to the overhead. At the same time ask how the ceiling panel is secured all the way around. It may be simple or it could be very difficult. It may require a trip to the manufacturer. Sorry I can't be of more help. Bob, did your licence office tell you that you had to have a person with a class B with you? When I took mine in Texas fellow that was going to go with me had a health issue and couldn't go. I called the DPS office and they said and I quote "We don't ask how you got here.) You may get the same answer. If you have a friend with CDL they may be able to go with you. Herman
