  1. Saw a trailer with a add on it for a wheel conversion to 19.5. I know they do the 19.5 conversion on Dodge trucks but hadn't seen it on tow behind trailers. http://www.boarwheel.com/ Might be a good idea if you are near your upper weight on your current tires and rims. Bill
  2. I went with Duracell EGC2s because I don't drycamp enough to justify the more expensive set up. We will see how long they last. The last ones were over 6 years old. Bill
  3. Scott, welcome to the forum. Who told you it was a Freightliner chassis? Most likely it is a Ford F53. Looking at the right wiring diagrams will make it easier to find your problem. Bill
  4. I find my dash fans to be quite noisey. Well you already have them, try them, after you get tired of the noise I would look at the ones Brett linked to. Bill
  5. Welcome to the forum. Have you looked at the towing guide? You need to know if the one you are looking at is towable 4 down. Bill
  6. After re reading this I to am wondering why you didn't just plug the coach in as you had power available. The electrical management system in the London Aire is way ahead of the battery minder. Bill
  7. When I bought my CR-V I had the dealer install the light kit. They installed a Blue Ox kit that added additional lights in the tail lights and were not tied into the cars wiring. Bill
  8. What exactly are you looking for? Where are you going? The Mountaindirectory.com has some good information but I have been in all the states in the west and haven't had a problem. I would get some of the apps that help you find where to stay and help you plan your travel. Like RV parkey, Google Maps, CoPilot, Rv park reviews, gasbuddy, for a start. The only time I have seen any problems is when you get off on Secondary state and county roads. Bill
  9. What towbar set up are you using? All the major makers have wiring kits to hook up the lights. You can check Remco towing to. www.remcotowing.com/Towing/Store.php Bill
  10. There is a secret method to prevent it from accumulate miles. I will share it with you. Hook it up behind your RV following all instructions and tow it. I haven't had anything since my 63 VW bus that would accumulate mileage(direct cable drive) when being towed. Bill
  11. Glad it went well. How long will you be in Cleburne Texas? I am on the road and won't be back till end of June. Just outside Cincinnati Oh tonight. Bill
  12. Get the hose back. Take the hose to the parts store with you. When they say what is it to say "I don't know my buddy sent me to get one just like this". You may have to try a couple places but I bet they have one that will work. They also have universal hoses, just find one long enough and the right diameter. Bill
  13. I would call Newmar customer service and see if they have any ideas. Bill
  14. https://www.amazon.com/s?k=heat+shrink+tape&gclid=CjwKCAjw5dnmBRACEiwAmMYGOWGkvhyNbcNjGjrD6i5xqECQdvfSD3DutXvNa2Eb7TGKP8IFYwjmXhoCsVoQAvD_BwE&hvadid=153712533964&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9014826&hvnetw=g&hvpos=1o2&hvqmt=b&hvrand=7460438149607007922&hvtargid=kwd-149266696&hydadcr=6892_9167079&tag=googhydr-20&ref=pd_sl_15so7ojtp8_b or https://buyheatshrink.com/heatshrinktubing?campaign=1679566210&adgroup=65395285836&feeditem=&keyword=heat shrink tubing&matchtype=p&device=c&network=g&gclid=CjwKCAjw5dnmBRACEiwAmMYGOZs6R8-pYrwyGOIyEtZNR9QqT9qpwIfLZrIeYfJt0jz-YRrSFSVZThoCzzoQAvD_BwE&creative=326164408933&gclid=CjwKCAjw5dnmBRACEiwAmMYGOZs6R8-pYrwyGOIyEtZNR9QqT9qpwIfLZrIeYfJt0jz-YRrSFSVZThoCzzoQAvD_BwE Bill
  15. I would protect the 1/4 x 1 inch copper bars with at least some shrink tape to prevent accidental arking or shorting across them. Bill
  16. Let's start over. Have you checked the outlet the RV is plugged into with a meter? On the 120 side I would see (if you have power to the main shore power cord)if the auto transfer switch is connecting to shore power. My default setting is to the generator. Are your battery switches on? What does each battery read at the battery with your meter? Do you have 12+ volts? Do you have 12+Volts after the inline fuse? Keep following the circuit to the battery control panel or till you find where the power stops. If you don't have 12v power nothing in the RV will work because everything uses 12 Volt power for the control boards. Bill
  17. Welcome to the forum. I posted some links you might look at on the first page of this thread. Look and see if anything is interesting to you. Let me know what you think. Bill
  18. Do you have 12V power? Have you checked the power at the receptacle you are plugged in to? Bill
  19. Good job, glad you got it fixed. Bill
  20. Hi Joe, welcome to the forum. What makes you think the readings are wrong? Bill
  21. That explains how you made it to NM the first night. The name on the pictures link to a place in Maryland. That would have been a tough first day. Glad you are enjoying your new toy. Bill
  22. I wouldn't mess with the misters. Just learn to drive it using the manual shift arrows. The biggest thing is "if you can't accelerate in the gear you are in drop down till you can." Your governed RPM should be 2600 RPM. When you find the gear you can accelerate in keep your RPM around 2400 RPM. This will help to keep your engine cool. The econ button is good for slight hills and keeps the transmission in a higher gear longer thus improving mileage. This also drives up EGt and water temperature. I have driven that road with my little 5.9 ISB with nearly as much weight and didn't have a problem. Bill
  23. Yes, absolutely if Remco doesn't think it can be towed I wouldn't try. Bill
  24. What is a on-road? I think it was 3 years ago I drove I-15 from Shelby, Montana to Victorville, California. Yes there are some grades that could be a problem if you don't know how to drive them but I didn't have a problem. I didn't think it was all that bad. Bill
