More on cleaning using ice. Bill

This guy has a couple of videos out that show the reality of your black tank. I think you will find them informative. Bill

Yes we had a cold spell last couple of days but should be close to 80 today. I mowed the lawn yesterday. Ok truth is I had the lawn crew mow. They are on the job so I can leave town at any time and not worry about mowing. We have had the coach out for a short rally way out in Aledo Texas . But that was only 5 days last month. Joe, you off the grid campers know no limits. Bill

The ice trick sounds good but is a fantasy as the ice is just floating in the water(good video on youtube) and the ice realey does not do anything. I don't use chemicals all the time but if you have a layer of sludge(You need to look and see, maybe use a probe) The chemicals will help break up the sludge. Well so will Dawn dish washing soap and some Calgon water softener. The black tank is a "holding tank" not a septic system. Get the clear section of 3" pipe so you can see what is coming out. Bill

Several things come to mind. First you are LUCKY it still drains as that makes it more unpleasant to fix. I would NOT trust the tank level sensors. They are almost always wrong. I would look down the toilet with a bright light and see what is going on/is it realey 1/4 full? Do you have a clear elbow or clear piece of 3" pipe so you can see what the water coming out looks like. http://www.campingworld.com/45-degree-clear-hose-adapter?rrec=true They come in different configurations so you can find one that works. Now fill the black tank about 3/4 full and add a couple of packets of the chemicals to break up waste. http://www.campingworld.com/search?keyword=black+tank+chemicals it woulden't hurt to "over treat" the tank to get it clean. Would be nice if you could drive it around a little to agatate the mix. If not just watie a day or so and drain and flush and see how it looks. Bill

The other fun part is when they ask "when will you be back?" and you say I don't know, probably in Sept or October. Anything been heard from the OP? Bill

I believe my EZ-Pass is tied to a credit card and replenishes pretty much instantly. The George Washington (before I had a pass) was $76.00 cash only. Bill

Welcome to the forum. I saved over $100.00 each off the Michelin sale price going with the Continentals. $600.00+ savings off the Michelin discount price is worth it to me. Ride great. Bill

Welcome to the forum. I see where NC works with EZ-Pass but EZ-Pass still doesn't work in Florida. https://www.sunpass.com/participatingAgencies Bill Richard, I am not shure $40.00 would be enough, going from DC to RI in a day I have racked over $100.00 in tolls. Especially the time I got to go over the George Washington Bridge. Don't go over the GW go around to the Tappan Z. Texas still doesn't have interoperability with EZ-Pass. Bill

Recommendation for Wi-Fi
wildebill308 replied to sabredog's topic in RV Internet to Go/Staying in Touch
One thing to stay on topic. When close to the Canadian border it is best to turn off your cell phone. Your phone will pick up a canadian tower and you won't know it. If it does and you don't have a plan covering Canada you will get stuck with some hi phone bills. International Roaming is not cheap. Bill -

Never made it up there. I have been to the area by the Bad River Reservation. We were also in Sault Ste. Marie on that trip. Yes I have been to the UP. Bill -
If they arn't leaking there is no rush to change them out. You have time to find someone. Are you traveling? Bill

Joe, one of these bead seaters doesn't take a large volume of air to fill it just releases a lot of air air at one time. https://www.walmart.com/ip/5Gal-Tire-Bead-Seater-Inflator-Blaster-Seating-Tool-ATV-165PSI-Pneumatic/181292029?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=529&adid=22222222227045037069&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=94062870770&wl4=aud-261800282100:pla-216317209730&wl5=9027284&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=112354406&wl11=online&wl12=181292029&wl13=&veh=sem desertdeals69, you are one of the luckiest people I have ever hear of.
