  1. I stay over in the Gatlinburg area when up that way. I would look at https://www.rvparky.com/ and http://www.rvparkreviews.com/ Bill
  2. Was in Chandler last year about this time. The Texas Rangers train in Surprise, AZ. Yes the weather is nice. Bill
  3. Wasen't that a show about people who felt like Castaways 3 years old and still going strong. It might be for some one who feels like a CASTAWAY also see Nissan Cube. Bill
  4. I am trying to figure out how you got a plate for something that doesn't exist. How did you get DMV to issue a plate when there is no paperwork or plate assigned for a dolly? All troopers know that if they run into a situation they have a radio and a phone to get the information they need. Plus they have a dispatcher and a supervisor. Bill
  5. That is what happens when you go sailing in just a "B" minnow. Bill
  6. You know once you say it on the web it's forever. Does this mean I can't bug you about the differences in tow dolly's? Hearer I was trying to stay on track and not feel like some kind of castaway. Bill
  7. Jim S. Acme uses the Kenda Karrier S-Trail ST145/R12 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range E. I had the older bias ply on my Acme, never had a problem. Bill
  8. What issues? Every state knows who does and who doesn't require plates on a dolly. Texas doesn't require a plate and I have never had a problem in any state. Bill
  9. Welcome to the forum. I have to ask where you found this fact? That heavier tires ride and handle better. If you believe they do that is all that matters. Bill
  10. Herman you forgot the side of either red beans or pinto's with some pepper sauce. Joe, if you ever make it down this far you will want to go to The North Main BBQ. These guys started by winning nearly every BBQ cook off they entered including trips to Europe. This was their test kitchen and they had all this leftover meat so they started to sell it. The restaurant is open on Fridays and Saturdays from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm and on Sundays from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Or till the meat is gone. http://northmainbbq.com/Home_Page.php Bill
  11. Yes Herman if you go to the website it shows all the other locations. and menus. What I am waiting for is they are building a new concept store on that has both Sweetie pies and a Babes in the same building. It is going up at North 820 and Rufe Snow drive just to the East on the access road. Go look at the menu at the Sweetie pies link. Unfortunately Joe they haven't made it to Amarillo. I will get you some notes latter. Bill
  12. Glad you found your problem and thanks for coming back and telling us. Bill
  13. I have to throw out a fun chicken place that use to have people waiting in line for hours. Seriously they would bring lawn chairs and coolers and wait in line 2-3 hours was a short line. They finally started expanding and the wait times have come down. Their stick is you get 1/2 chicken and all the sides you can eat. http://www.babeschicken.com/our-kitchens/burleson/ The family has another place, Sweetie Pie’s Ribeye's. Yes it is as good as it sounds. http://sweetiepiesribeyes.com/ Bill
  14. I am wondering how hard it would be to re rout the dipstick tube. Maybe make it longer so it is easier to fill. You can always re calibrate the markings when you are done. Bill
  15. I did see a neat item on a coach. It had a built in pressure washer. So you could wash the coach any time it got dirty. OOPs for when you are changing your oil and have a spill. See I am still on subject. Bill
  16. You would think with that much access he would detail it a little better. Bill
  17. Won't be able to make Perry. Hope to be able to go some ware this summer. Bill
  18. Welcome to the forum Jack! Thank you for your service! Bill
  19. No you are paying for the "FREE" replacement up front. Bill
  20. Welcome back. I would recommend something over 1000 Watt. The reason is somethings have a higher draw when they start and you may want to upgrade your system latter. Just because it is capable of 1000 or 1500 watts doesn't mean it will be drawing that much all the time. It could be as little as 2 charging your phone. Bill
  21. True I don't do that kind of work anymore but it has been a major help on some projects. I could show you part numbers in the TO for the F-35 it is still going on so I think Snap-On will be around for a long time. Bill
  22. Just a caution when adding the oil, go slow because it has a long hose to drain down and it may need to burp some air. If the engine oil one will pull out a little it would be good. A funnel with a hose is what I use. Bill
  23. I worked for a lot of years in the aircraft world. I like Snap-on and still have quite a tool box. I have used Craftsmen tools quite extensile over the years. Yes now you can find some real steals at Sears stores or at the Sears outlet stores. The absolute biggest advantage to Snap-On is when working on any military item Aircraft or ground support if you need a special tool there will be a part number in the technical order and it will take you to that tool in a snap on catalog. Bill
  24. Well thank GOD for that. I am tired of your condescending attitude that you are the only one who is smart enough to make THE RIGHT decisions on what to buy what to drive and where to stay. "I've been a member for more than 35 years.." So what!! That makes you a rooky compared to a lot of people on here. It has been posted by many people that AAA has not responded properly to calls about RV's. They may do OK on little campervans but don't try to convince me that they are what I need because you say so. "AAA helps with car registration, sales, insurance matters, overseas travel, DMV and much more.... It's not just hotel rooms...." By the way the DMV is where you register your car, and no I don't need any help as I can do my registration from home. Why would I pay extra? I drove a compact little campervan 40 years ago and thought it was neat but I grew up and moved up. I no longer want or desire to be told about what would be "best" for me to drive. I had to laugh at your one more bit about "Ideal RV Length for Fitting into National Park Campsites". One more stupid comment from the un knowing. Is camping in National parks the only camping you do? What makes you think that just because you Think you have the perfect size camper that you can get into a campground in a National or State Park? Let me see Yellowstone National park offers 12 campgrounds with over 2,000 sites. Yet during the peak season they have over 30,000 visitors a day. I will continue to make reservations for the campgrounds where I want to stay and they are mostly commercial places with more room and more amenities and about the same price as dry camping in the park.
