Well I like the portable ones like this. https://www.amazon.com/Surge-Guard-34850-Portable-Display/dp/B00T36QHUO/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1519006563&sr=8-4&keywords=surge+guard&dpID=41PYMGXdBxL&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch The one thing that I like is the ability to check the power at a site with out moving in the RV. I have ben places where it took a couple of spots to get good power. I am glad I didn't have to move the coach just too see if the power was good. Bill

Not hard but you need a good amount of lead time. The staffers take care of the details. Look at both your congressman's and senators website. Some show more than others. If you can only get one the Monument Tour's is the one. Bill

Carl, I was 10 under on the front 9 till the beer cart came buy. See I do know golf lingo. I am glad Rockport is getting back in shape. I liked that area but it is not far above sea level. Bill

That depends on what browser you are using. In Edge yes. Bill

Hi Don, Unless you had a much bigger problem with your engine I think it was just a bad hose. Bill

I don't know what brought this back to the surface. I agree with Kenon there are other places to stay but BUT I still like and recommend Chery Hill because of it's easy access to public transportation. They even have some one to teach you how to use the Metro and what train and what stops for what you want to see. One thing I didn't mention before about DC. If you contact your Congressman or Senators office there are VIP Tours you can apply for, such as The White House, The United States Capitol, The Bureau of Engraving and Printing + others. The one I liked the most was The Monument Tour through the Department of the Interior. This has to be requested by you congressman or Senator for you. The difference is, yes you can go to all of the monuments by yourself. Fight the crowds lots of walking the waiting in line. When we went on the tour we showed up at the correct door at the Department of Interior and there were 6 people going on the tour. We were issued 1 each government van and one each park ranger and we went on tour. Well at the Washington Monument there is no parking, no problem our ranger pules up on the sidewalk parks the van and said "Lets go". We get over to the elevator and there are about 50 people waiting in line. Our Ranger walked over and said to the ranger running the elevator "I have a VIP tour hear" The reply was "you are next" and that is the difference between doing a VIP tour and doing it on your own. We did all the major monuments in one long day with our own park ranger to answer questions and give narrative. Bill

Welcome to the forum. Glad you were able to find the parts you needed. If you need parts like that or for the house part remember the people at Roadtrek bought it some ware. Bill

Mustang Island State Park is way up the coast and wouldn't be a candidate for spending the winter. Well at least I don't think so. But I did spend October on the golf coast 3 years a go. Bill

Try this, Call Texas Trails RV Resort, in Pharr (I would call now) and see if they have a spot. it is fairley centralized to the area and would make a good home base to check out the area. Texas Trails RV Resort, 501 W Owassa Rd, Pharr, TX 78577, texastrailsrv.com, (956) 782-7886 Bill

No, my friend is not on the forum. He is older and hates computers. So I thought I would ask for him. Bill

I would think the small AC unites some ware around 9,300 AC would put less strain/load on the system and use less electricity. Not like a big buss with 4 15,000 BTU units. Bill

I have a friend looking at a B and he has some questions. When you are on the road do you try to stay at places that cater to B type coaches? Places with compact smaller spaces? Bill

Like Jo said tighten the hose clamp and see if it stops leaking. I changed my valve out 2 years ago because it was leaking internally. It isn't hard and yours looks to have easy access. When you have it out spray some silica lube where the valve rubes as it will make it work smother. Bill

Welcome to the forum. When you get tired of Florida head West along the Golf coast to South Texas. Bill

Good time to write your senator or congressman and let them know how you feel. Bill

Well you did imply you didn't have a chip. "Was told that all Shell stations only excepted debit cards with chip!" Bill
-
I am kind of surprised you still have a card with no chip. The chip is for added security and as cards age out and are replaced with new cards with chips. I had a interesting deal with a Shell station in Northern New York. We had just crossed back from Canada and needed fuel pretty bad. The station was an older place but had separate diesel pumps so easy in and out. The issue is there was a small notice on the pump that the diesel was not a Shell product. Bill

Heated Tile Floors/ AGM Batteries As Options

Congratulations, it sounds like exciting times. Do you have a RV now or what level of experience do you have? Bill -
Good looking dog. Welcome to the forum. I hear people getting hung up on "so many National Parks have a 35 foot limit". That might be important if you were never going any place but a park with that limit. You may buy a perfect length coach and still never get to camp inside some parks. I have visited a fair number of National Parks. The biggest problem is in season places like Yellowstone have 32,000 visitors daily. When I was in Glacier a couple years ago in 2 weeks there were no openings at any of the campgrounds in the park. Not trying to scare you with the crowds but it can be busy. I think the 40 ft. coach will work well. I know this will sound counter to what I just said but the extra work to get in the park is worth it in this case. If you are going to stop at the Grand Canyon on this trip make reservations NOW. This is worth the effort to get a reservation in Trailer Village, nps.gov, (928) 638-7888. I like the fact that the shuttle will pick you up at the campground and take you places you can't drive in the park. Do you have a toad yet? Any questions? Bill

2018 Chevy Equinox Flat Tow
wildebill308 replied to snoway95's topic in Toads-Towed Behind Motorhome
I am gong to say no. I think it is the same as with my Honda. Just to clarify you turn the key all the way to the right to "start" then it goes back to "run" one spot to the left shuts off the engine but you can still have power to the radio "on /accessory". If you left the key in run it might show mileage as all the gages are powered up. Your battery won't last very long because of the drain from all the electrical components like navigation and driving lights Bill -
I think if installed right they work. The one I was referring to in the picture is not installed properly. Bill
-
You got lucky. Bill
-
"Picture on THIS post on hoses happened to be taken with TPM sensors off" If you are talking about the picture with the Chevy emblem, The valve stem on the right is going to fail. You can see that it is rubbing the rim where it comes through the hole. Over time it will abrade a hole in the braided material and cause leak. It needs to be re positioned and some rail road grommet material installed. This is exactly why people have problems with these type of extensions. Bill

Walter, if you put that info in your signature it will save you from needing to do it again if you have a question. look at Carl's or my signature for ideas. Bill
