Ok hear is a serious challenge. Bill

I was trying not to imply someone would bring in the slides with just a few gallons of water on top (feels like it) that might do something like that. Bill

james68, welcome to the forum. Buying a new coach is a great way to get rid of the Dimond shield problem. If/when I have to take it off I will not put it back. Bill

Buying a 2021 Class A with a 2017 chassis
wildebill308 replied to Dennis Heider's topic in Type A motorhomes
Well I would like the OP to give us some more information. The date of manufacture is on the Chassis information tag. It must be in the coach. I have a 2007 Spartan chassis under a 2008 DP. This is the tag that gives you all your weight specks. I would trust this number over something your insurance agent dug up. Op show us a picture of your weight tag. Bill -
Tiffin Factory Steering/Suspension Or Lack Thereof

Joe is right on the money. Something else I found that helps is to replace the bushings in the front sway bar with polypropylene bushings that are firmer. Bill -

Carl what parts do you need now? Bill -

Looking good!! Bill

One extra precaution I have found useful is after a rain and before brining in the slides. Tilt the coach front to back to drain any water pooled on the top of the slides. Bill

Glad you are doing better. Bill

First welcome to the forum. If you look most (this is a hint for what you should do) have their RV in their signature. Second if you think a retired Marine MSgt is the sane one in this group, you may fit right in. Bill

Carl, Sad to hear about Nancy Wright. Condolences to Joe and family. I am getting a little work done like a new awning and fix some scratches (look like tail swing) that were there when I got it. Just waiting on the opening and parts to take it in. Would like to have it before the CC rally. Bill -
Tiffin Factory Steering/Suspension Or Lack Thereof
wildebill308 replied to litteachse's topic in Chassis
rayin, you are right I forgot to mention a good all wheel alignment is critical. Adding some extra castor is a good move to (it makes the front wheels track strait) do/check when doing the alignment. I think track bars help stabilize the suspension so you don't have as much movement like when a truck passes you. That second link I posted is interesting because it has a kit with all the upgrades. Tiffin Factory Steering/Suspension Or Lack Thereof

First, welcome to the forum. There are a lot of good upgrades that can be done. My first step would be to upgrade the shocks, I would look at the Koni FSD. Try Shock Warehouse. https://www.shockwarehouse.com/ . Personally I would back track bars at the same time. Found something interesting when looking. https://www.ultrarvproducts.com/Stage-3-2006-Ford-F53-Class-A-20-22K-GVWR-Handling-Kit Bill -

No kidding!!! I finally found it. Try this Erniee, get to a page that has the header with all the drop down boxes in black and white. The first heading to the right of the "FMCA" is Membership. Click on that then click on Dashboard. Scroll down till you find it on the left side. On my computer it is the 5th thing down and is red. Good luck in your search. Let me know if you find it. Bill -
Ok try this one.

Route from Panama City fl to Denver CO
wildebill308 replied to mjkfmca's question in Destinations/Attractions
Welcome to the forum. That should be a pretty simple trip. Go north till you hit I-10 then go west to Houston. Pick up I-45 north. (wave at the Sam Houston statue as you go by) I-45 to I-20 then I-20 west. When you get near Fort Worth take 820 north (keeps you out of the down town area.) Follow 820 around to I-35w north. Go north on 287 when it splits off. 287 to Amarillo. Now you have at least 3 choices. You can go up 87/287 to Boise city where it turns into 385 to Lamar. Then it's 287 to Limon where you pick up I-70 west to Denver area. Route 2) from Amarillo, go west on I-40 to Vega then take 385 north to Channing, at Hartley pick up 87 north. Follow 87 till it runs into I-25. I-25 north to the Denver area. Route 3) Take I-40 west to Albuquerque then north on I-25. Little longer rout but I like ABQ.😁 Drove rout 2 this last summer. I have driven them all and a couple of variants. I don't see any big problems. Bill -
Are Suppliers holding back on Tiffin orders?
wildebill308 replied to gem4skis's topic in Type A motorhomes
What is the part number/model number? Have you tried the local sources or is this a warranty type issue. Bill -
Isn't it great that they have these factory installed tool holders on trucks. NO this was not staged. Bill

On the outher side of "smooth" we got to sample directly from the collector at the top of the still at Barton's. I liked the samples in the tasting room better. Bill

Fresh water tank replacement
wildebill308 replied to schoonmakerjon's topic in Water and Holding Tanks
Not familiar with that product but I bet there are some epoxy products that will work on that type of plastic. I don't know how much it would cost to have a shop do a hot air weld repair but they have guns on Amazon for around $100.00 + https://www.amazon.com/s?k=hot+air+plastic+welder&hvadid=77653062753171&hvbmt=be&hvdev=c&hvqmt=e&tag=mh0b-20&ref=pd_sl_7y3qv1xc3o_e I would look at you tub and look for videos on how to do it. Then decide if it is something you want to try. Bill- 28 replies
